I've got exactly the same wiring problem in my Fiat Panda 1.3. Thanks!

Do you need to disconnect the battery before removing the fuses and wires?

I always would. On our 2011, the negative terminal has a quick release machanism.

I have a fiat 500 2012, and in the head light, some of the wires now have no more insulation round them, you can see the bare copper. My mechanics said its a known fault of fiat, have you heard of this.
He is trying to get me a whole new headlight, but they are out of stock at the mo. Is it a possibility that i can get someone to fix these wires instead?
Any advice truely appreciated!!!! Thanks 🙏🏼💫

Yes you can get the wires repaired, take the car to an auto electrical shop they should be able to fix it for cheap if it's just insulation.

Hello man and thanks for the video! Mine's in there for good. Tried pliers but didnt work. Did you use any spray or tapped on the connector to remove it? Do you have any advice on how to remove it without causing damage to the BCM? Thanks in advance.

Ah, sorry to hear that. It is likely that it melted and then fused a bit to the body computer. I don't really have any secret tips for you other than try wiggling it out a little bit from each side. Also make sure the direction is perfectly perpendicular, and you are pushing the release tab.

@@ericinthewild thanks for the answer! Truth is I already tried that... Maybe some contact spray for lubrication so as to break the adhesion?

@@ericinthewild I managed to get it out by using brute force. The previous connector was destroyed.I replaced the connector and I have ordered LED lights so as to have half the consumption of the halogen lights.

    how to remove connector

I used pliers! It gets stuck because of the heat melting it... depending on how much it melted, it might be very hard to get off. Just be careful but pry each side off little by little.
