  • Here's a complete guide to fixing pool coping on your mini ramp. This will also help if you plan on adding pool coping to your ramp or if you wanna fix pool coping at your local skatepark. The mini ramp being fixed is the Ewok Ramp. There's also some skating in this video to show how well the pool coping holds up. The skaters doing the repairs and a little shredding are Jason Martin and Falco Baltys. Falco rides for Santa Fe Skateboards, Huh Bearings and Rainskates Wheels.

Super sick. Thanks for the tips, your ramp looks so perfect. Probably the nicest most fun looking ramps I have ever seen. I’m going to be building a backyard mini soon and was thinking of putting pool coping on one side. Now after seeing your ramp Im sure pool coping is the right call. So glad I stumbled across your channel.
Do you know the dimensions of the part of the ramp with the pool coping??? Was wondering what the height, width and transition radius of that section was because it looks perfect.
Also, I remember you mentioned in a different video the other side is mellower transition, that’s a very cool idea doing two different transition steepnesses. I always have the hardest time deciding what radius to use when building ramps, and I never thought to do one steep side and one mellow. Seems like a great idea to get the most out of the ramp!

I don't recall the dimensions. If you're putting pool coping in, I'd make that side a tad steeper cause it's helpful to have a steep ramp if you want to do smith grinds and feeble grinds and such. I believe the pool coping section is 3.5 feet high and 12 feet wide. Then there's a 6 foot wide extension that's 4 feet high and a tad mellower. The opposing wall is as mellow as the extension and also 4 feet high. The different radius's can be a bit odd at first, but I really got used to it and enjoy being able to do a wide range of tricks. Good luck to you on your ramp!!

Where did you get that poolcoping at?

My buddy, Dayne Brummet, gave it to me. I think he may have gotten it from an old Converse contest ramp.

@@thorsonwidmer970 I'm not sure. I'd try googling it and maybe asking around to skatepark companies like New Line, Spohn Ranch, Grind Line, Dream Land or Evergreen.
