I have this car, a 2021 and it’s such a blast to drive. I get tired of people criticizing Supra's. We are in a time where manufacturers need to merge with other manufacturers to create a low volume sports car because it keeps the cost of development lower. Look at the BRZ/ Toyota 86. All these sports cars are not high volume models. The cost of development is a MINIMUM of 1 BILLON dollars, so they need to team up with other manufacturers to be able to exist. It’s the sign of the times. This car is not for everyone, no sports car is. I love that it’s an outlier type of car. It’s unique. It gives us an additional choice. Where else can you get a sports car that goes 0-60 in 3.7 seconds for $52k.(what I paid for on a sticker price of $58k). Sports cars are a dying breed, let’s try to keep them going as long as we can.
Nissan didn't rebadge an Audi for the new Z. They used the current chassis, tweaked engine and transmission and designed the car around them. Toyota could have used the LC500 chassis and built the Supra off of it. Instead, they completely ruined the Supra's legacy. When it runs out of warranty in three years, good luck with getting "Toyota" quality and reliability.
@@andyleo8418 i agree they could have used the Lc500, after all the supra is supposed to be a gt car however I'm not going to say the legacy is ruined. It's a good tuning platform like the mk4, makes easy power like the original.
@@andyleo8418 The whole reliability thing in my opinion is completely overblown. Plus Toyota also offers a very affordable extended warranty on these cars. If you like the Supra you should buy one and keep it under warranty. Its as simple as that.
@@Mike-dd8bd extended warranties cost thousands. It's not small thing. Its a good performing car as it should be considering who makes it. The point is it's not a Toyota.
@@timw2083 I didn't say ALL dealers. I said all CARS. Meaning new used and across the board on manufacturers. Dealers are also paying a premium to buy your used car because they don't have a lot of stock. I was offered 2k more than I paid for my Honda Accord when I bought it used two years ago. They will turn around and sell it for at least 2k what they bought it from me.
I do not see how you can compare the Corvette and the Supra in the same review. One drives like a GT touring and the other is a true drives car. ...I have driven both, the 2.0 and own a 2022 3.0 Premium. Two totally different cars, not just the engine..., wheel, brakes, suspension, seats, sound system.... And as far as the Z4...it is heavier and a much different driving experience. Just saying...
I don't disagree with classification and driving dynamics differences... My point was the price tags getting closer people cross-shop crazy combinations all the time.
I absolutely love this car! The design and mechanical is up there. It cannot be described as a regular daily driver as it was constructed as a sports car.
I daily drive it. It feels pretty unstable to me accelerating out of corners and often when accelerating off the line. Then again, it’s the most powerful car I’ve ever owned
Getting it under 4 is hard - and the times quoted are sorta misleading as they dont include the 1st 1 foot of rollout which is about .2 to .3 seconds average. My car stock on shitty roads the best I have done is 4.4 but that was colder and crap roads. I think I could get down to 4.2 in stickier tire weather and better road.

Don’t make me bring out cars that goes 0-60 in under 3.7 secs for $58k or under. The Supra is ruined!

It’s a Supra-nice car… lol glad to hear you enjoyed the 3.0 more than the 2.0 and it’s worth the upgrade.
I should check again but Toyota dealerships in Virginia were charging markups so I bought something else
Dealers all over the country are marking up ALL cars.
@@diamondrmp all dealers aren't

I got super lucky with mine, paid under MSRP.

Hope you enjoyed the video! Let me know your thoughts on the Supra 3.0

Love it! Great video
Thanks
real time 0-60 was quite a way off from factory claims... should be capable of 3.7-3.9

He also didn’t use launch control as well
No way c7 stingray better than Supra maybe zo6
💯
A terrible way to test 0-60 especially with that pavement
What are you trying to get out of the 0-60 run?
