It's definitely a handsome board, and I'm happy to see that it's laid out to support mGPU, though it might not actually have the support onboard. However, I wish PCIe slots would stop disappearing. That's important expandability for non-gamers who like pretty things.

Some people tell that asrock did a better job because M2 pcie lanes don't share bandwitch with the 16x PCIe lane. I don't know if it's a really bad point. I am hesitating to buy this one or the gigabyte aorus pro ice x870e that share M2 lane and pcie 16x bandwitch
Well they are correct. Asrocks solution is much better. Expansion slots are mostly pointless nowadays but M.2 is future proofing to some extent. And Asrock allows all of them to be used by just disabling the second Pcie expansion slot.
Hi, I’m sorry to bother you but you seem extremely knowledgeable. I’m trying to figure out which mobo to get for my white build. I have a 7800x3d and am stuck between Asus x870a Rog strix or the x870 aorus elite… haven’t found any other options that are all white. I’m wanting to use two gen 4 m.2 ssds while not having the pcie lanes to the gpu used at all. I want to be future proofed for 50 series. Any help is very appreciated. Have a blessed day.
@@vilerite That's not really going to effect the average consumer though and I'd argue if you're looking to use that much memory for a workstation type build you'd be looking at the higher end pro-sumer boards anyway.
Question: What is max no. displays (4K @ 60Hz) which can be connected to this board, to be driven from iGPU using 9900X CPU? I understand this board has 1x HDMI and 2x USB 4 (supporting DP over USB). In principle, each USB 4 port could output to two 4K displays @ 60Hz (using an MST USB-C to dual DP adaptor). So I wonder whether it might be possible to drive FOUR, or even FIVE 4K @ 60Hz displays from the iGPU? (of course, another limitation is max no 4K @ 60Hz displays supported by 9900X iGPU itself, I heard this might be a max of FOUR, but unconfirmed?) I am planning new build using Ryzen 9900X and X870/X870E Mobo. Will not be used for gaming, for productivity only. I won’t install a discrete graphics card, will rely only on integrated graphics.
wish there was an even more stripped version to minimize price, green pcb, brown box, no sticker, no heat shields, 0 fancy all function same for GPUs just use 120mm case fans like we see on CPU coolers
good mobo in general ! .but unfortunately it lacks at least one of this features : post code reset button power off button clearmos button . REALLY DISAPOINTING !!! EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ITS PLACE . GOOD OVERVIEW !!!
The price is normal & lower compare to other brands higher prices but with same specs. For the price, its the same price as last gen X670e steel legend, so i dont see a problem about it, not like Asus boards with their "ROG taxes" & awful customer service....
$259 is actually good price you get. But the specs for me is not good compare to other boards. In my country it is priced at $315 for the same board. Damn that shit is too pricey 😂
That price is high! and it looks like someone dropped oreo dust on it lol. Something about it just looks kinda dirty, but that Taichi board you showed last week (I believe), it was AWESOME!!! Expensive or not, it looks right.

Asrock is not joining Gigabyte as they are beating them as All Gigabytes white X870 boards only have 6-Layer PCB Mid Loss where Asrock has 8-Layer Low Loss. It is funny that when they Have 8 Layer PCB they say Low Loss of signal to Memory or GPU from the CPU but when you have 6-Layer PCB you have Mid Signal Loss. It would have been nice to see a digital readout for the price. Gigabyte iced out boards are not worth the money they want as the QUALITY is NOT there with LOW PCB Layers and lower grade audio. I was always a Gigabyte fan but looking at Asrock boards and Gigabytes Low quality I may Have found a new brand.
Think of x670e as the rough draft. Sure it works and gets the job done. But it's not pretty. Now x870e is the refined version with most of the known kinks worked out, sleeked down into sexyness.
This bord seems to be really good but that's a shame that's brands always often chose white aesthetic when you absolutely do not want a white board. Cool for those which want white but these board are too often white :(
That motherboard looks so ready to be an mATX. A b850 steel legend would be awesome

Idk about your country, but this is one of the cheapest boards at around $230.
Remember the only benefit x870e has over x670e is mandatory usb4
But for 250, seems to be a fair board to me
x870e supports higher memory speeds, no? At least provide more stability at higher memory speeds.

ASRock was so close to the graffiti "S" for their Steel Legend logo, and to even provide a keycap this time.
Why does AsRock compromise on Audio? They should provide a good audio solution. Gigabyte also has done the same for x870 platform.

I paid almost half the price of this motherboard for a Thunderbolt 4 PCIE Card alone; $260 feels like a bargain
You want m.2 5.0 and pcie 5.0, there are a few boards that are cheap enough that offer 5th gen with both
and for an extra $300 you can get an LED error code display.
Thanks for the overview 🎉
Too Bad that the carmouflage design is gone, but still quite „naked“ 😅
They need to start offering white ITX boards for AM5 :(
Why? just go buy laptop if you want small form computer is best with atx and matx
