    hi,
there is also the possibility to set different proportions
For example, I use some double-sized buttons by setting them at 60x30 (or even bigger - check/uncheck scale above/below 1:1 in preferences) so the resulting png file is 180 x 30

it's also possible to use completely different proportions but in this case, it's important to rebuild the entire toolbar buttons to keep consistency

or even bigger - check/uncheck scale above/below 1:1 in preferences??? What preferences?

Usefull and surprising. I don't think such a thing is possible in most famous Daws ! So many interesting things in an apparently simple daw ! Thanks Kenny !

Been wondering about this very thing for many many many.

I have watched this multiple times now. The fact that Reaper recognizes the transparent parts of an image makes me wonder if I'll need to create a mask for those parts. I'll have to play with the idea I have.
But if all goes well, I may have some toolbar buttons to share in the Reaper Stash.
Im also interested to see the image files for the new animations. If I can see them, I can edit them. So I may be able to create neon buttons, or wild shapes and designs...
@Kenny - don't tell an old game content creator this kinda thing without expecting him to go crazy with it!
Customization has always been my thing. Which explains my love affair with Reaper!
Exploiting possibilities and creating things people hadn't done or hadn't thought of is what got me a job in games.
I feel that I'm heading down a deep rabbit hole. If I figure anything cool out I'll share it on my TH-cam page and on Reaper Stash as well.

@@REAPERMania here to learn more than just music production. Maybe some tricks on staying focused, staying true to the game, etc might be helpful too. Many folks quit without understanding how close they are and the grind any serious work requires. Might be a topic or series to ponder over. Until then will keep learning what You share.
Could You also share more in-built plugins reaper has video and which additional 5 plugins to buy like the one You already have. Might save people a lot of money. i just learned about Saike spectrum analyser and saved some money. Just need to start analysing now.
      Many thanks for responding though.

Hi Kenny. Always appreciate the tutorials. But personally I'm more interested in functionality rather than appearance. Could you maybe create an explanation of how to use the 'position in measure' options in the MIDI filter? I don't find that easy to use I'm afraid.... thanks!

How do you animate these if you have the newer Reaper? The animated icons are incredibly helpful for some buttons.

Super!! But I chose images to edit among the theme buttons. It is in the "ColorThemes" folder - there is the "Default_7.0.ReaperThemeZip" file. It is an archive file. It is unpacked with the 7zip archiver. In its "Default_7.0_unpacked" folder there is a subfolder "150". And there are two files: "mcp_fx_empty.png" and "mcp_fx_norm.png" is 90x30. I took two buttons from the first file, and the third from the second.

Hey Kenny...Question - aren't there 4 possible states? What about right clicking the new custom button, or is that not a possible state with custom buttons?

Hi sir ! I am very new to reaper and music production in genaral. I just want to make music only using a laptop while traveling also. I dont have a Audio interface or Midi keyboard. But the virtual keyboard is not working. In the Keyzone classic plug in If I click the keys on the plug in it giving sound but not sounding if I click the virtual keyboard.
Even sometimes no sound is coming from reaper daw in genaral.
Can you please tell or make a video about the Audio settings need to do if we don't have an interface or Midi keyboard !?
I am using bandlab other times, and that is working fine. I can't figure out what is the issue
