Their Latin vibes is just inviting. I had a penfriend from San Jose, Costa Rica back in the 80s, 40 years ago when i was a teenager, i lost contact with her, since that time I have always admired this country and I hope to visit it one day.
I was there live. And most say that the Aggies from North Carolina A&T Blue and Gold Marching Machine was awesome! They sounded amazing 😮. The best band there in my opinion
I totally agree with you. And yes, those from other countries deserve to be praised for the sacrifices they made travelling to the US and Pasadena! Thanks.
Go Rams they brought it. Name a bad that had their color guard do things with flags. Plus large flags that told a story of where they came from. They also had mini floats, and their banner was made out flowers.
Loved West Chester University, Pulaski (like a mini-U of Wisconsin), and LAUSD All City Band - but best goes to Toho High School & Aichi Toho University who were playing & performing right until the end of the parade.
Pulaski Red Raiders. Their minstrel turn at camera corner was outstanding. Musicianship and marching skills shined as well. Parade performance was second to none.
In fairness, your band is also great, you are always performing every year as the host and Honor Band and I always look forward to watching your school band everytime I go to the parade, Erick!
True, just bad when i was taking the video they were only playing their instruments briefly but otherwise they all look very good and i love their vibes.
@@a.j.501st my pleasure, I took a video and picture of what I saw on the sky after the parade, It said "Roll Tide Roll". Thanks, never been to Alabama but I heard many beautiful things about your state.
Next year internationally famous Orange Devils of Kyoto Tachibana marching band will be back. They are best anywhere you can see their previous performances on TH-cam. They are what I call a performance band with their own unique choreography.
@notuldanes1294 Kyoto Tachibana (KT) is the best of the best in my humble opinion. What some may not know is the Japanese Green Band Association, which sponsors the Japanese bands to the Rosebowl parade, will often borrow band members from other bands so the group at the parade has sufficient numbers to put on a good performance. Every year, the Japanese band invariably has some KT members, but it is different when KT is the featured band. KT's performances are so difficult, and the timing so precise that they can only add members from the graduation classes of the last several years. In the 2018 parade the normal 100 member band was supplemented with 100 of the past members. The only other school they can send additional members to KT is their sister band from Izumo Business High School.
@@muzikizfun wow, that's so good to know, thanks so much, I appreciate you. All the Japanese bands in the past parades were amazing, indeed! Thanks for the info about how they are supported and organized! I lnow that for a small country like Costa Rica, it takes tons and tons of fundraising!
@notuldanes1294 for the bands going to the Rosebowl, JAL covers the airfare, and most of KT stay in the homes of American sponsors. In the 2018 appearance, there was one girl who had an artificial leg, yet she marched and danced like everyone else. During the bandfest held the day before (can be seen on TH-cam), they have a special tribute to her.
@@muzikizfun wow, they all get the support they need, good to know. I observed they are mostly polite and courteous, just bad this early , part of the country suffered another earthquake which is also common where I come from. Thank you again.
I can say Zarcero from Costa Rica because I am Latino and from Costa Rica , but I know people from the US don’t like dancing and don’t feel this positive energy through the music … It’s just different what the world outside US feel for Latin music … also a small piece of racism influence the opinion.
I was born in the Philippines, I love the Costa Rican band because they brought with them the Latin energy and flare, I like the dancing part, very Latino, love it , I had seen many Latin American bands in the past and I always love them as I am also a Latino by heart, Filipinos are called the Latinos of Asia. Gracias!
