Any antihypertensive medications once its started can't be stopped..other wise on stopping antihypertensive medicines severe hypertension will be precipitated..that means the condition will be worst on stopping any antihypertensive drugs
Mam how to overcome rebound hypertension without taking beta blockers once again 😥🙏,My doc suggested me ivabrad-5 but due to this rebound effect it's not working as well....🙏
My propranolol is 60mg and my amlodipine is 5mg is it safe and okay to take together I really need help on this I be very afraid to take them both I just need to know if that’s okay?
So the drug is named after all side effects?? When I was on losinapril I was told I'd have dizziness..I swelled like a puffer fish, scared the mess out of me. My doctor knew instantly what caused it but gave no warnings..
I have not heard of that causing swelling and its not listed as a common side effect. Unfortunately with certain conditions like hypertension physicians have to try a variety of medications until they find the one that works best for you. I would follow your doctor's recommendation and call if you have any side effects.
ACE .. so now it's .. angio 'tenny son' hahaha. back in my day it was angio tensin.! is it true LBWIQ+ people call it 'angio tenny daughter'? . hahahahahaha
Nurses take a Pharmacology course and pharmacology is incorporated in every nursing course in school. We are the ones who give the meds so it is important that we understand the meds too.

Its not named after the side effects but its a tool to help remember them. That's horrible that you didn't receive proper medication education 🙁

Can Nefidepine makes you gain weight?
Yes because it can cause fluid retention. That would be something the patient should report to their doctor.
