    this has motivated me so much, thank you!! when you did past papers in the mornings before school, did you make sure you knew the content first or did you just choose papers randomly even if you hadn't gone through the content?

    • @NessaLui
      @NessaLui  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i knew most of the content, but doing the past papers shows you what you don't know yet. but if you haven't actually completed a whole topic, then obviously you can't answer that topic's questions = skip the question. but when i did the past papers in the morning before school, by that point, i had covered the whole spec!!

    How would you deal with a teacher who sets lots of homework to the point where you stay up late and have no time to revise for exams?

  • @DopeNacs
    @DopeNacs 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You said you worked for 8 hours? So you woke up at 7 but how did you manage about 6 hours of revisions after school?

    • @DopeNacs
      @DopeNacs 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could you just provide some more specifics on your routine? I’m really trying to roughly do this amount of revision but am struggling to find a routine where I can implement this.

    • @NessaLui
      @NessaLui  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      in sixth form, i only did 3 subjects, so i had a lot of frees and i used up all my frees to revise :) some days i also didn't have any lessons at all! even if i did have all three classes in one day, ie 9-12, theres a lot of time after that.
      i also didn't sleep very early (lol) which i don't recommend - honestly, quality over quantity (altho i said having both is good), but everyone is different so take your time to ease into something that works for you :)

    you revised 8 hours a day for 4 months! I don’t think ive ever heard of anyone revising that much. How could you do that AND go to school and actually learn? What would you reccomend for someone doing AS?

    • @aeulia4359
      @aeulia4359 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      8 hours a day for 4 months is unheard of for me too. Since ur doing AS revising 3 hours a day of quality revision is more than enough for all a stars.

    • @aeulia4359
      @aeulia4359 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laraimam241 the earlier u start the higher ur chances of getting top grades. I can’t tell u when to start it all depends on you, it’s easy for me to say “start now” but you need to be the one taking initiative

    Hi ness I love your TH-cam videos about ur a levels. They are really inspiring, but I got a question how did u memorise content heavy things for example bio and psychology and actually learn it ?
    As when I make flashcards of a topic for like research methods in psychology it becomes quite overwhelming to learn it what techniques did u use ?

    • @NessaLui
      @NessaLui  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for maths, at least 24 hours after i've marked it :) i'll go through this in detail in the maths vid!!
      for biology, it was really whenever (bc different content)
      and psychology, i mainly did essays and didnt repeat papers
      :)
      general rule is at least 24 hours after, to check if you have actually learnt anything or if its STM
