That math had me ROLLING. “How much is that? About 2-2 1/2 feet? So what’s that? About 18 inches?…..Ya…” :::looks out into the air and nods to self in affirmation:: 😂😂
I can say without a shadow of doubt I've caught more fish on a Carolina rig then most other techniques combined and that include big fish. It's something I keep at least one tied up on my front deck 365 days a year and a lot of the time I'll keep 2... When I start out I might have them both with the same size weight but different plastics and when I think I have the plastic dialed in I'll change the weight size so I'll have a lighter one and heavy one both with the same plastic. I do like a little longer rod (7'6" H/F) now but I threw them on a 7'3" heavy for a long time. I see so many people hating on the Carolina rig on the internet but it's definitely a confidence rig for me. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Mr Mark Daniel’s thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to teach a technique I will be adding to my setup! I love your tournament videos all I want is to see you succeed to win these tournaments! I have so much respect because you have high integrity and character beyond the competitiveness in these events, but your engagement with the fans! Tight lines MDJ take care!
Hey Mark you are a great fisherman you give all aspects of the subject you talk about the guys thats stuck on the bank and things like that and i saw you and DC on his channel and i love the guidance you give DC your a older gentleman you understand when you told him about some people gonna hate you because you do well theres just evil that tries to worm in but really we love Mark Daniels Jr.
I appreciate you & DC's video on being positive, it's good to know that I can use the C- rig from the bank, got to get me a heavy rod, I hope you & DC can get together & do some creek fishing vids, I believe everyone has hit him up with it, so maybe! Hope this last stage you can bring home the trophy!🎣👍
I use the Carolina rig on ponds typically but if it's a bigger lake or high pressured lake/pond. Mainly because it's a different presentation the fish may not see often.
C-rig has won me a lot of money back in the day and I am old 69 next week ! One of your other favorite old school the rat-l-trap has won me a lot of money but I live in NE Texas where those presentations were extremely important.
Never go fishing without a Carolina Rig period. Always a fish catcher 365. Deep, shallow doesn’t matter. Also use it as my search bait to feel what the bottoms doing. Love it, get lots of hate for the ball and chain but haters gonna hate, I’ll just keep catching fish 😂 love what you do MDJ 💪
One of my favorite techniques to catch Bass...instead of using the swivel...I like using the carolina keepers...very easy to adjust your leader...fyi...keep the video's coming buddy
Caught some pre pre spawn and pre spawn here in Georgia. It helped me figure out where and what they were doing. I caught a 7.10 on a senko after loosing something heavy on c-rig. Easter Sunday…I remember it cause it was the biggest fish I’ve caught in a while and the biggest fish I’ve seen from the pond (neighborhood pond I fished in high school 13+years ago)
It do work But I do it a tad different I eliminated the barrel swivel or split ring or what ever, I use 1 to 2 rubber bobber stoppers, so now I just eliminated 2 knots that could of been a bad knot, plus now you can change ur different length without having to re tie everything, and use a glass bead and a bullet weight instead of egg sinker, and I use it on spinning with 6lb mono and 15lb mono on baitcasting
The Creek series is the stuff but let me say this when you talking about a Carolina rig and I'm from South Carolina when fishing a Carolina rig you have to have a lizard in the springtime 6 inch lizard by Zoom
Question about the leader, do you stick with the same line or do you switch to mono or a smaller diameter line to possibly provide more life like presentation?
Cuz it's your boy Ernest Brown AKA Bassmaster Brown I have to agree with you that really doesn't for me it's one of the ways to get a big bite in rough condition Love the video hope to see you out on the water soon Love you cuz and be safe out on the water.
MDJ, I love a z man bait on the c rig to get it off the bottom some and truly think it helps get more bites. But sometimes I think it floats too much. Any tips for weighted hooks to possibly suspend the bait? 🤔
I've got to where I use a tungsten weight but I peg it that way I can adjust the length of my litter without cutting my line an retying so much and if my bait happens to go over a stump or something and hangs I can reel down and most the time get my weight and hook back
I can say that, I never get on the water and not have a c-rig tied on. Half ounce barrel weight, and I can toss it from 1 fow to 25 fow. 6ft leader, 2/0 hook with a bubble fry type bait.....HANG ON, it'll catch everything down there.
Good video, but how about covering the casting technique for throwing a Carolina rig. Definitely different than tossing a chatterbait, crankbait around.
hate them ads the gov giving away money sad to see that ok gov how about give me back all i pay in every year after year just because i dont want a hand out
The set up series is only second to the creek series. Love the tips Mark

Nothing but love MDJ!!! Thanks for the old school stuff. I have caught a lot of bass "draggin"
Been fishing for 30 years and I've never tossed one up in the northeast. Gna have to try this week when I'm off work. Much love MDJ 👊🏼🙏🏼☝🏼
Great vid Mark! Can't be leaving out the ole C-rig! Good stuff.

Love spro for their small swivels but the weight they have. Love using them over the big and bulky while fishing a fluke on Lanier.
Yo mark, I'm sending you coconut oil for them damn knees, lol. From one brotha to another.
Amazing rig I’ve caught more fish on the ball and chain then any other , I don’t throw one as much as I should but I always got one tied on in the box
I gave you the thumbs up! But I have 2 words for you my brother… LOL “Gold Bond” lotion!! 😂
Thanks for another good one.

Good stuff, man!!!
I always have a c-rig on my deck and seems to work year round. Good video Mark.

Good old ball and chain is a staple in Texas! Best Co angler technique around besides a drop shot and wacky rig
Been waiting on this one 👍🏿👍🏿

Thanks Mark
I add a bob stop on top of the knot so the bead doesn’t damage the knot also.
Never have thrown one ever here in Michigan but sounds like I need to
I fish a Modified Mojo Rig. Haven't had alot of success but it works.
Best method for points all seasons!
Creek series 🤷🏽♂️ is what us cool people want 🙌🏽
You ever throw mono after the swivel to make it float better?
It do work
But I do it a tad different

Caught a 5.9 two weeks ago on a c-rig!
The math ain’t mathin on the leader length bro 😹
Jk all love bro, dropping hella game as always
Have you ever used a broken-back Rapala minnow on a C-rig? Very sneaky.
Yeah the C rig is underrated
Mark. do you think MoJo rig works just as well. ???
How about a shop tour video?
Setting the hook sideways seems to help me land more.
lol i have dream eventually to fish with you MDJ and B. Lat
c-rig that wacky hook when you got deep targets but don’t wanna wait 20 secs for a fall
💪🏾
