On my i7 6700, ssd, rx480, in QHD (low-mid graphics) it was 28-32fps, now with balanced 38-42 fps. It feels a lot smoother and I don't notice any graphics difference. Thanks man!

Hey! Thank you sooooooo much for making this! The community needs more people like you. So, I did a bit of testing myself. I have an RX 570 with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 32 gigs of DDR4 3200 Mhz memory. I set the EZ Optimizer to Max Boost. I used MSI Afterburner to record my FPS. Basically, my benchmark was at the beginning of the game with Nomad path where I went climbed up the tower, down again, and went for a bit of drive. The benchmark lasted around 2 minutes. And yeah, most of my settings were set to high with the exception of Volumetric Cloud Quality (medium), and Ambient Occlusion (low). Without EZ Optimizer: Avg: 30.8 FPS 1% Low: 25.5 FPS With EZ Optimizer (Max Boost): Avg: 40.3 FPS 1% Low: 33.2 FPS So basically that is a 30% better average and 1% low! I just came from an article on Tom's Hardware. I will definitely check it out cause it is running like shit on my GTX 1060 Edit: It was running with 30-35 FPS on Medium now it is running on 44-49 FPS, so it actually worked
I am intrigued also, i have a 1070gtx Gaming OC Edition from gigabyte my rig is 4years old though and default i run on 1080P High with max crowd ai settings and my fps jumps between 40&50fps, would be nice if this could keep me around 50-60fps most of the time.
@@wasptube1 definitely you should check it out. Run the exe but don't mess with the graphic options after doing it, or it will override the new settings.
*I guess some extra clarification needed: Leave the Async Compute option alone. Just use Max Boost or Balanced modes. It was a bad idea to include it since it gives much less FPS than questions :)*
@@vitaobatera nope, nothing at all. Just click on the mode you want in the tool and enjoy the game :) I can't promise +25 FPS on your particular GPU, but you definitely will get a performance boost
Hey friend, what settings do you use in graphics? I have a gtx 970 also, running the game at an avg. 30fps, and a i5 4670, which causes some instability and drops to ~20fps in cpu-heavy areas and driving. Looking forward to test this new mod when i can and see what gains i have.
@@rodrigobraynerlyra4447 Its a mix of Medium-low, with the more intensive settings set to low from the Digital Foundry video. I also run it at 80% static resolution scale of 1080p
So from my experimenting, this does provide some FPS boost. I'm using a GTX 980 @ 1080p with medium settings. At normal, I get around 35 to 30 average fps, depending on the scene or area. With max boost, it bumps up to around 45-50. I only notice a few scalebacks in graphical fidelity but it's passable IMO. Balanced mode is just slightly less, with around 40-45 fps. One thing I do notice with this tweak is that it gets rid of that strange shimmer effect on the pavement which I always thought was weird looking. So that's a plus to me. On the downside though, I have noticed that balanced mode causes these strange glowing indoor fogs in some areas that are very distracting. I don't get them with max boost mode so I don't know what is going on there. It's not a bad option for those with less than optimal systems right now, but I'd stick with only max boost unless a future version can correct that fog issue.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm happy that it worked for you. Check what you have with default settings, because that indoor fog is what the game had initially. For guys with systems like yours, I currently working on Max Boost+ mode, which will be everything you like about original Max Boost, plus some extra graphics fidelity. It's right between Max Boost and balanced, so I think you'll like it. It will be available in EZ Optimizer 2.0

I love your message at the end about CDPR. Im also in the software development field and I completely agree. CDPR at their core is still one of the better game development houses out there.
So for reference: My system: Ryzen 7 3700x GTX 1080 16gb Ram NVME SSD 1tb Notes: I'm playing this game currently at 1080p lowest settings possible from within the game I've also edited a line in the .exe file to open up "fuller usage" of ryzen cpus which yeilded me about 10-15fps more than before. I set this program up as shown and set it to "Max Boost" and proceeded to what I know to be the area where I get the biggest frame drops (market in Japan town). Now before using this program i went here a ran around for a minute or two and my frames sat somewhere around 48-69fps. After setting up the program to "Max Boost" I did the same once more and my frames sat somewhere around 58-75fps. NOW the thing here is I normally run games at 1440p/2K so i decided to try setting my resolution to 1440p and got about 44-56fps... Not quite playable in my eyes but turning on adaptive resolution scaling setting the desired frames to 65fps, the min resolution to 80% and max at 100% i was able to yield frames close to, or above what I was getting at 1080p before this program. Now that might not sound like much but before this program my max frames ANYWHERE in the game at 1440p would have been 55fps, so the fact that this game is now actually playable at 1440p with some minor resolution scaling, is incredible. Just tried it out on my laptop with and Radeon 530 which is an extremely bad graphics card but anyways I was having 15-20 FPS and now I’m getting at least 30-35 which is incredible because of that it is actually running better than a PS4 base when this pc isn’t even as good as a PS4 thanks bro 🙏

Using 4930K with 1080 Ti @ 1440p, I was averaging 40-60 FPS. Using Max Boost on the tool, I'm now seeing 50-80 FPS, so definitely a performance improvement across the board. i have gt 1030 where i get 5-10 fps in 720p low settings. After using your optimizer i get around 20-30 fps. now i can play cyberpunk on my pc. Thanks for making such great optimizer.

After the huge discussion on Reddit, where I was accused of putting the virus in EZ Optimizer, it was examined and there was no virus, miner, or any sort of harmful code and it has zero similarities with someone else code. Jumped from around 50 to 65 fps using max boost, gtx1070 with ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.4 ghz all core overclock; settings are mostly high with a couple of mediums. Most obvious visual change I noticed was that distant buildings aren't obscured by fog. All seems to work as advertised though!
Not giving details on what you have done to get better fps worries me. Why would you not tell people what the program is doing when u pick "max boost" and "balanced"
Look up "Config Overhaul for Cyberpunk 2077". This mod is just that with a worse UI and way more shady. Hell, this guy wasn't even bothered to add more features or improve his mod to give any incentive to use 'his' mod over the other mod. The other mod is actually customizable and has a basic description for most parameters.

I was suggesting it was a copy though because he has the exact same preset names as the OP mod (Who was the first person i'm aware of that compiled this specific set of ini lines and also created a GUI for editing them). I must say im quite impressed, I have an rtx 2060 and im playing at 1080p, with this, im able to crank every setting to max including rt and still get 30 fps whereas before i got 7fps. Thank you

have a 1080ti and 8600k and works great on ultra at 1440p using the disable async only. i played on high my first playthrough just fine, but its nice to play on ultra at over 60 fps at least! thanks bro.
On an RTX 2070 founders with a ryzen 5 3600 I had 60fps not stable at ultra setting before.. Downloaded instantly e now I got a HUNDRED FPS! What are your settings? I got a 970 playing at +-40 fps with 1080 p on low expect for the last 3 settings about color etc (basically everything about reflections is low everything else is high)
I have a GTX 1080 with a Ryzen 5 and I get 50-60 FPS the day cyberpunk came out, seems like your PC might be getting overheating issues or other component issues. Or a driver issue
r5 3600 with rtx2060.. ray tracing disabled ultra settings/maxed out on everything with balanced DLSS @ 1440p ... 55-60 FPS > 75-85 FPS (this is on pre-set "Balanced" frpm the mod)
GTX Titan X Maxwell was rocking this on ultra setting preset 1440p res at city center at about 15fps. The max boost now gives a consistent 45 fps at city center, and 60-70fps everywhere else at 1440p. Pretty great, though I do see some draw in on shadows in the environment and on some buildings. Honestly, it's a small price to pay so I can play this at my monitors native resolution and with all the bells and whistles turned on. Cyberpunk 2077 has been the first game I've had to turn down graphics for since I got the Titan back in 2016. Upgrading when I can of course, but that's a big "when I can" as we all know with these availability issues.

Im not a super gamer, just playing Fallout New Vegas, 76, Witcher 3 (on mid/high), csgo, diablo 3, Deus Ex: MK, HR @1080 with 60-280 fps. CP2077 is the first game that makes me change my card. I have changed my settings to low and still get like 30fps on a 3080. I noticed on task manager gpu utilization does not go beyond 50% at 1080p unless I drive in the dessert and then magically, boom! I get 90% utilization and high frames!
@@ramoraid If you're getting only 30fps with a 3080 on 1080p you're doing something very, very wrong. I'm on a 2060 mobile on ultra with medium Ray tracing and getting over 30 fps.
@@ramoraid Sounds like a cpu problem, 3080 will easily be cpu bound at 1080, it is not really a 1080 card but better for 1440/4k. Sounds like maybe you have not the best cpu?
From what I can tell, it only changes a line or two from the user.ini file located here in your Cyberpunk 2077 folder: "\engine\config\platform\pc\". The only changes I can see is this line changing from "True" to "False" and vice-versa depending on the chosen profile: VolumetricFog = True (or False)
For those of you wondering it works a treat on high-end hardware. I got a 3700x and a 3070 (Gaming X Trio) and it boosts my fps from 60ish to around 80. Some graphical fidelity is lost, but it's well worth the compromise.

Using a R5 2600X Red Devil 5700XT 8GB 3200mhz 16GB RAM @1440p I was getting about 50-56 fps before with the FidelityFXcas set to 50fps and 90% minimum resolution... this brought me up to about 65-72 fps (indoors) with the balanced preset. I absolutely plan to do more tweaking and try the max boost to see for visual quality loss UPDATE: did a lot of testing with the rayfield caliburn driving through heavily lit areas at night to see worst case scenario performance with max boost and it's doing pretty well. The only visual difference was actually fixing some of the road debris pop-in which was an improvement that even ultra settings doesn't offer!! ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!!
Thanks boss! I'm using a RX6800 but it managed to make the FPS much more stable. Now getting 65-80fps Not dipping below 60fps *almost* max settings at UW1440p, where as before it was typically fluctuating between 50-70fps in the city. Awesome work!
To anyone reading this: I was skeptical. Brothers friend sent it, and I was unsure after all the shit ive been through trying to get this to be smooth that something like this would work. 1060 gtx, and though I was only getting 25 - 30 fps, anytime I so much as sneezed, let alone walk, it would nosedive down to 19 - 23 fps. Even after turning off all the shit people have said to, and following other guides. I can RUN NOW AT 30 FPS!! I may not have gotten a big BOOST but my god I just got consistent frames. Thanks dude
What are the rest of your system specs? Are you using a laptop by any chance? I was getting the same results as you with the 1060 6gb, but after I disassembled by laptop for a deep clean and repasted by cpu/gpu, I'm now up to a stable 50fps with medium and a few high settings. (Before using this tool).

Hello. I decided to give this a try and do some testing. I am using a r7 1700(cpu) with a rtx 2060. I set a base line using Nvidia optimized settings via Nvidia experience. For testing I set to balance on the booster, and medium for graphics in game for both 1080 and 1440. For 1080 I got a max of 80fps, low of 42fps and an average of 54fps. Now if we compare it to the Nvidia optimized result then what we get is a max of 69fps, a low of 52fps, and avg of 58fps. This test consisted of me driving the caliburn down a stretch of road in downtown night city near the city center at night. While the optimizer had a greater high it also seemed to have more dramatic lows and about a 10% decrease in the average. I will say that for an older system say the 1k or even the 900 series nvidia gpu this will probably be decent, however the graphics quality looked more akin to a ps2 title and not a AAA modern pc title. The city felt stale and flat with no environment. This is not to diminish your work as I wish more people would actually make the effort to give back to communities as you have. Just a warning that rtx 2k and up will benefit more from NVidia optimization with a minor tweak to cascade shadow resolution.
Im running RTX 2070. I used to have 45-55 FPS downtown. Balanced boosted my FPS but I was still getting some FPS drops below 60 quite often. And so I've tried the MAX BOOST option and vuala I've never had FPS drop below 60 and I didn't notice many changes graphicly. This combined with the GPU RAM fix (Memory Pool Budget FILE) made the game playable for me. Thanks!

Because of my GTX 950 Strix, I had to reduce my resolution to 720P to make the game playable at around 30-40 FPS but now after using the tool I am able to get the same FPS on 900P and even on 1080P I am getting around 25-30 FPS which was earlier stuck at 15-20 FPS. Thank you so much. You've done a miracle here.
I had dozens of crashes prior to using your software. Now after applying the balanced setting, I can play for a couple hours with no crashing. Windows 7 Dual Xeon 3.5Ghz 16 Gigs ram with a GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6. Appreciate you making this available.
Wow, dude, it really fking works! I'm on a gtx 1060 and for the first time I actually get 60 fps in-game. Even all other steps that other videos show that you can achieve 60fps with a 1060 didn't work for me.

So you basically disable screen space reflections, volumetric fog and other key features but wow it's boost the fps :O Just use the raccomanded Digital foundry settings instead of ruining the game looks
Yup.. pretty much. That or don't expect your potato PC to max out the game and get 60+ fps. If people ran this at proper settings on proper hardware it would reduce the occurance of bugs significanly. I've got 16 hours into the game and I've seen 1 bug and it was a visual glitch that went away when I left the room it was in.
I was skeptical at first, but holy molly this works! Got an 1050 TI and can run the game on medium at around 30-40 FPS, but prefer low-med for 50-60 FPS. The game is looking as fancy as in some 4K YT vids, but still quite nice, even on these settings.
Fantastic. Went from highs of 36fps at 2560x1080 on my OCed 4770K/2070 Super with frame drops down to 1fps, to highs in the 70s and lows going down to 35fps on the Balanced setting. Took the game from basically unplayable to a smooth experience.
I just want to let know who is still sceptical about the tool that i've tried it, i play the game on a gaming laptop with a geforce 1070 and i want to share my experience so far. I did my first run (100 hours) trying to maximise the fps and i was able to squeeze an average of 50-60 fps for the whole run playing on low-med, after i finished the first run i decided to put everything on ultra and lock the fps to 40 and right now i'm in the middle of the second run. Why this introduction? Because i want to let you know that the tool in question really boost the performance of the game, because it will do some tweaks to downgrade the game graphic. I can assure you that playing the game taking out the graphic will give you a half experience because the way everything looks on high settings is really a big part of the game. I want to give a strong advice to use this tool just if you have a really old hardware and you want to play the game, but if you have something that can run the game on high settings at least on 30 stable fps, do yourself a favour and don't cripple the game just for few fps.
@@andrew_ 30 stable fps is still ok for this kind of game in my opinion, is off course better if you can play on high settings with a decent fps, but in here i'm just trying to give my opinion about the tool and not saying that you are going to have the best experience playing on 30 fps

Absolutely jaw dropping. My GTX1080ti went from 48-60fps in 1080p to 60-80fps using balanced setting. I see no discernible difference in my visuals. Thank you.
5900x 6800xt running 4k ultra settings went from 38-45 fps to balanced 60-65 fps then turned on dynamic fidelity set target frames to 100 min resolution 85 max 100 stable 80-85fps at 4k. GG double the 3090s performance at 4k without rtx and no dlss and same as 3090 with DLSS. Wow is all I can say
@@hammadrazzaq6273 It's a 1050Ti. Genuinely improved my performance. Went from multiple crashes in a single session and like 25 fps to no crashes (as of now) and around 50 fps.

Well, tried it out. Each step down in quality makes a big difference in speed! But, the changes to the post processing, or whatever else is going on, seem to destroy the texture detail in dark areas for me. Over all, it looks less dramatic and cinematic. The graphic changes are maybe harder to spot during the day, but I would say the game's signature is the streets at night. Here, the price is too steep for me. PS, I'm on a Vega 64 and struggling in the low 30's on stock settings though. Looking forward to checking out the update with more in between steps. Thanks for the effort!
I'm playing C2077 on a 3.4GHz Core i7, 16MB RAM and a GTX 680 2MB card via Steam. The game is playable with graphics set to low and the resolution at 1600x900. Read about the Optimizer on Tom's Hardware, and thought I'd try it. As any FPS increase would be welcome, I loaded up my save, which put V in their apartment during the day, started FRAPS benchmarking test. I began facing the door, walked to the window and looked out at the city, then went into the stash, and returned to the door. I ran Optimizer and did the same thing. My save took 2-3 seconds less time to load and graphics looked better to me (colours seemed richer and shadows deeper). And FRAPS's benchmark files showed the average FPS increased from 64 to 78. So this worked for me. CDProjekt should license this and include it in the next PC patch.

I get about 15-20% more fps, and on top of that a noticably higher resolution (as I'm using Dynamic FidelityFX CAS) Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (undervolted & overclocked; ingame this amounts to 1873MHz core @ 1.031v & 4500MHz memory) 32GB 3200MHz 2560x1440 I'll also throw in my settings in case anyone wants to use them as a basis. Someone at CDPR give this dude a job FFS. My savegame spot at medium settings jumped from 38 FPS to 50 FPS with the max boost settings. I finally have the chance of getting 60 FPS at 2560p with much less aggressive resolution scaling. That's a huge boost!
so what does this do exactly? and why have you made it a program, despite all the consequences that brings with it? (which as a developer, you must be aware of)
@@EZPCTECH making it a program makes it prone to issues like - a game patch may break something - the developer may abandon it - even a basic a program can bug out, possibly corrupting something - no real backups (reliance on the program) - etc
@@HazewinDog I understanding your concerns, but: - there is a backup, just click on the "Default" button and it will roll back everything as it was. - If the game patch will break it, I hope it will be because they actually fixed the game and it runs at least like with this tool. - I plan to update it and release new versions, so it's not a problem. - This program will not bug out since there is nothing that can do so. Corruption isn't possible as well, since it doesn't touch critical files without which the game can't run.
I doubt these will break in a patch. Everything this program does can be done manually. It's just your more likely to mess something up. This program looks to just do it for you.
@@HazewinDog config file editors rarely become outmoded/broken by game patches, at worst some settings by become deprecated and nolonger have any effect, in most of those cases the game will simply remove those settings when it scans the file for what settings to use. i have quite a few game config file editors going back to the 90's, a couple i made myself using VB, and, even with games that have gotten MANY MANY updates since, the editors still work... an example, i made an editor thats a generic Unreal Engine config editor, all it does is find the config files, scans them, and displays the values they contain, then when you edit settings and hit 'save' it applies them and saves the config file. that isnt something hard to make, or that often needs updated. another example , there are plenty of apps like Roadkills Unstoppable Copier, that havent been updated since win8 or longer, that still work 100% as they did under windows 2000, they do not need an update to function as intended, what they are doing, is just a shell over built in windows functions... that havent changed in decades... there are quite a list of examples i could give... this isnt a trainer that is likely to be broken by game updates, its just altering a .ini/.cfg... etc.. (so many extentions companies have used over the decades....), in this case, it dosnt edit any game files, just the config file itself, like when you can manually edit the resolution if the games not listing the one you want... its doing sort of what GeForce Experience does... but very very simplified...

Their cred was lv50 when they were releasing the game... after that bugged release on consoles and pc and the huge amount of lackluster details (grenade physics be wack in water, they also don't destroy gas stations, the car physics... fire burning underwater, water effects being absent, NPCs not reacting else than crouching and sometimes running away, if there is crossfire with other NPCs and they shoot at a neutral NPC they don't react, body ragdoll physics, No special abilities for arm cyberware apart from gorilla arms, no flathead, AI for NPC cars missing, slow traffic with huge traffic lines because NPCs turn too slowly, NPC traffic can get stuck in an intersection because they don't have AI and block each other from turning, Lifepaths don't change anything meaningful in the game other that the very start, Technical skill tree, police wanted system is garbo, since no AI for cars No dynamic pursuits in-game all scripted, conversation options with skillchecks do not change the outcome most of the time, it's only insults or something like that that mean nothing, no hair customization post char creation, no car customization, no car dealership instead clunky random mission spawn with cars, a big chunk of side activities have no soul just go there kill that, or steal that, or hack that) everybody knew they tried ditching the fixer... and they lost all their cred in a moment. I'm not saying I dislike the game, have already 85h in, but I say that yes, they do deserve a hot shit in front of the front door, mainly the executives that pushed for the release this soon and in this state(devs have no power, they probably wanted another year to get all of these features fixed and polished) So yeah. Hopefully they update the bugs out of the game and upgrade the game to include a lot of these details in the process.
Yes it actually work i dunno how my cpu i5 3470 bottlnecks my gtx 1650 but after applying this patch my gpu is maxed out and cpu is 80% which is actually nice thx buddy it really.fckin works hell yeah

On my i7 6700, ssd, rx480, in QHD (low-mid graphics) it was 28-32fps, now with balanced 38-42 fps. It feels a lot smoother and I don't notice any graphics difference. Thanks man!

So, I did a bit of testing myself. I have an RX 570 with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 32 gigs of DDR4 3200 Mhz memory. I set the EZ Optimizer to Max Boost. I used MSI Afterburner to record my FPS. Basically, my benchmark was at the beginning of the game with Nomad path where I went climbed up the tower, down again, and went for a bit of drive. The benchmark lasted around 2 minutes. And yeah, most of my settings were set to high with the exception of Volumetric Cloud Quality (medium), and Ambient Occlusion (low).
Without EZ Optimizer:
Avg: 30.8 FPS
1% Low: 25.5 FPS
With EZ Optimizer (Max Boost):
Avg: 40.3 FPS
1% Low: 33.2 FPS
So basically that is a 30% better average and 1% low!

Edit: It was running with 30-35 FPS on Medium now it is running on 44-49 FPS, so it actually worked

I am intrigued also, i have a 1070gtx Gaming OC Edition from gigabyte my rig is 4years old though and default i run on 1080P High with max crowd ai settings and my fps jumps between 40&50fps, would be nice if this could keep me around 50-60fps most of the time.
@@wasptube1 definitely you should check it out. Run the exe but don't mess with the graphic options after doing it, or it will override the new settings.

It's running fine for me at medium with high textures. avg 45fps with the lowest dips being infrequently to 29fps. More than playable
*I guess some extra clarification needed: Leave the Async Compute option alone. Just use Max Boost or Balanced modes. It was a bad idea to include it since it gives much less FPS than questions :)*

Hey friend, what settings do you use in graphics? I have a gtx 970 also, running the game at an avg. 30fps, and a i5 4670, which causes some instability and drops to ~20fps in cpu-heavy areas and driving. Looking forward to test this new mod when i can and see what gains i have.

So from my experimenting, this does provide some FPS boost.
I'm using a GTX 980 @ 1080p with medium settings. At normal, I get around 35 to 30 average fps, depending on the scene or area.
With max boost, it bumps up to around 45-50. I only notice a few scalebacks in graphical fidelity but it's passable IMO.
Balanced mode is just slightly less, with around 40-45 fps.
One thing I do notice with this tweak is that it gets rid of that strange shimmer effect on the pavement which I always thought was weird looking. So that's a plus to me.
On the downside though, I have noticed that balanced mode causes these strange glowing indoor fogs in some areas that are very distracting. I don't get them with max boost mode so I don't know what is going on there.
It's not a bad option for those with less than optimal systems right now, but I'd stick with only max boost unless a future version can correct that fog issue.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm happy that it worked for you. Check what you have with default settings, because that indoor fog is what the game had initially. For guys with systems like yours, I currently working on Max Boost+ mode, which will be everything you like about original Max Boost, plus some extra graphics fidelity. It's right between Max Boost and balanced, so I think you'll like it. It will be available in EZ Optimizer 2.0

Notes: I'm playing this game currently at 1080p lowest settings possible from within the game
I've also edited a line in the .exe file to open up "fuller usage" of ryzen cpus which yeilded me about 10-15fps more than before.
I set this program up as shown and set it to "Max Boost" and proceeded to what I know to be the area where I get the biggest frame drops (market in Japan town). Now before using this program i went here a ran around for a minute or two and my frames sat somewhere around 48-69fps. After setting up the program to "Max Boost" I did the same once more and my frames sat somewhere around 58-75fps. NOW the thing here is I normally run games at 1440p/2K so i decided to try setting my resolution to 1440p and got about 44-56fps... Not quite playable in my eyes but turning on adaptive resolution scaling setting the desired frames to 65fps, the min resolution to 80% and max at 100% i was able to yield frames close to, or above what I was getting at 1080p before this program.
Now that might not sound like much but before this program my max frames ANYWHERE in the game at 1440p would have been 55fps, so the fact that this game is now actually playable at 1440p with some minor resolution scaling, is incredible. THANK YOU SIR
Just tried it out on my laptop with and Radeon 530 which is an extremely bad graphics card but anyways I was having 15-20 FPS and now I’m getting at least 30-35 which is incredible because of that it is actually running better than a PS4 base when this pc isn’t even as good as a PS4 thanks bro 🙏

Using 4930K with 1080 Ti @ 1440p, I was averaging 40-60 FPS. Using Max Boost on the tool, I'm now seeing 50-80 FPS, so definitely a performance improvement across the board. Here are my in-game settings:

Jumped from around 50 to 65 fps using max boost, gtx1070 with ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.4 ghz all core overclock; settings are mostly high with a couple of mediums. Most obvious visual change I noticed was that distant buildings aren't obscured by fog. All seems to work as advertised though!

Look up "Config Overhaul for Cyberpunk 2077". This mod is just that with a worse UI and way more shady. Hell, this guy wasn't even bothered to add more features or improve his mod to give any incentive to use 'his' mod over the other mod. The other mod is actually customizable and has a basic description for most parameters.

What are your settings? I got a 970 playing at +-40 fps with 1080 p on low expect for the last 3 settings about color etc (basically everything about reflections is low everything else is high)
I have a GTX 1080 with a Ryzen 5 and I get 50-60 FPS the day cyberpunk came out, seems like your PC might be getting overheating issues or other component issues. Or a driver issue

ray tracing disabled ultra settings/maxed out on everything with balanced DLSS @ 1440p ... 55-60 FPS > 75-85 FPS (this is on pre-set "Balanced" frpm the mod)

1660ti i79750h - I was getting 30-40 fps at high settings . Now I get 50-60fps at ultra settings with SSR off . Thnx a lot for this video.
GTX Titan X Maxwell was rocking this on ultra setting preset 1440p res at city center at about 15fps. The max boost now gives a consistent 45 fps at city center, and 60-70fps everywhere else at 1440p. Pretty great, though I do see some draw in on shadows in the environment and on some buildings. Honestly, it's a small price to pay so I can play this at my monitors native resolution and with all the bells and whistles turned on. Cyberpunk 2077 has been the first game I've had to turn down graphics for since I got the Titan back in 2016. Upgrading when I can of course, but that's a big "when I can" as we all know with these availability issues.

Does absolutely nothing for me, I get the same exact fps whenever I don't use it.
I have changed my settings to low and still get like 30fps on a 3080.
I noticed on task manager gpu utilization does not go beyond 50% at 1080p unless I drive in the dessert and then magically, boom! I get 90% utilization and high frames!
@@ramoraid If you're getting only 30fps with a 3080 on 1080p you're doing something very, very wrong. I'm on a 2060 mobile on ultra with medium Ray tracing and getting over 30 fps.
@@ramoraid Sounds like a cpu problem, 3080 will easily be cpu bound at 1080, it is not really a 1080 card but better for 1440/4k. Sounds like maybe you have not the best cpu?
It really works I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 1060 6gb. I went from "low" to "high" settings and yet got higher fps. Amazing.

From what I can tell, it only changes a line or two from the user.ini file located here in your Cyberpunk 2077 folder: "\engine\config\platform\pc\". The only changes I can see is this line changing from "True" to "False" and vice-versa depending on the chosen profile: VolumetricFog = True (or False)
For those of you wondering it works a treat on high-end hardware. I got a 3700x and a 3070 (Gaming X Trio) and it boosts my fps from 60ish to around 80. Some graphical fidelity is lost, but it's well worth the compromise.

I was getting about 50-56 fps before with the FidelityFXcas set to 50fps and 90% minimum resolution... this brought me up to about 65-72 fps (indoors) with the balanced preset. I absolutely plan to do more tweaking and try the max boost to see for visual quality loss
UPDATE: did a lot of testing with the rayfield caliburn driving through heavily lit areas at night to see worst case scenario performance with max boost and it's doing pretty well. The only visual difference was actually fixing some of the road debris pop-in which was an improvement that even ultra settings doesn't offer!! ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!!
Thanks boss! I'm using a RX6800 but it managed to make the FPS much more stable. Now getting 65-80fps Not dipping below 60fps *almost* max settings at UW1440p, where as before it was typically fluctuating between 50-70fps in the city.

I was skeptical.
Brothers friend sent it, and I was unsure after all the shit ive been through trying to get this to be smooth that something like this would work.
1060 gtx, and though I was only getting 25 - 30 fps, anytime I so much as sneezed, let alone walk, it would nosedive down to 19 - 23 fps. Even after turning off all the shit people have said to, and following other guides.
I can RUN NOW AT 30 FPS!!
I may not have gotten a big BOOST but my god I just got consistent frames.

What are the rest of your system specs? Are you using a laptop by any chance? I was getting the same results as you with the 1060 6gb, but after I disassembled by laptop for a deep clean and repasted by cpu/gpu, I'm now up to a stable 50fps with medium and a few high settings. (Before using this tool).

Hello. I decided to give this a try and do some testing. I am using a r7 1700(cpu) with a rtx 2060. I set a base line using Nvidia optimized settings via Nvidia experience. For testing I set to balance on the booster, and medium for graphics in game for both 1080 and 1440. For 1080 I got a max of 80fps, low of 42fps and an average of 54fps. Now if we compare it to the Nvidia optimized result then what we get is a max of 69fps, a low of 52fps, and avg of 58fps. This test consisted of me driving the caliburn down a stretch of road in downtown night city near the city center at night. While the optimizer had a greater high it also seemed to have more dramatic lows and about a 10% decrease in the average. I will say that for an older system say the 1k or even the 900 series nvidia gpu this will probably be decent, however the graphics quality looked more akin to a ps2 title and not a AAA modern pc title. The city felt stale and flat with no environment. This is not to diminish your work as I wish more people would actually make the effort to give back to communities as you have. Just a warning that rtx 2k and up will benefit more from NVidia optimization with a minor tweak to cascade shadow resolution.

Im running RTX 2070. I used to have 45-55 FPS downtown. Balanced boosted my FPS but I was still getting some FPS drops below 60 quite often.
And so I've tried the MAX BOOST option and vuala I've never had FPS drop below 60 and I didn't notice many changes graphicly.
This combined with the GPU RAM fix (Memory Pool Budget FILE) made the game playable for me. Thanks!

Holy shit. Because of my GTX 950 Strix, I had to reduce my resolution to 720P to make the game playable at around 30-40 FPS but now after using the tool I am able to get the same FPS on 900P and even on 1080P I am getting around 25-30 FPS which was earlier stuck at 15-20 FPS.

Wow, dude, it really fking works! I'm on a gtx 1060 and for the first time I actually get 60 fps in-game. Even all other steps that other videos show that you can achieve 60fps with a 1060 didn't work for me.

If people ran this at proper settings on proper hardware it would reduce the occurance of bugs significanly. I've got 16 hours into the game and I've seen 1 bug and it was a visual glitch that went away when I left the room it was in.

I was skeptical at first, but holy molly this works! Got an 1050 TI and can run the game on medium at around 30-40 FPS, but prefer low-med for 50-60 FPS. The game is looking as fancy as in some 4K YT vids, but still quite nice, even on these settings.
Fantastic. Went from highs of 36fps at 2560x1080 on my OCed 4770K/2070 Super with frame drops down to 1fps, to highs in the 70s and lows going down to 35fps on the Balanced setting. Took the game from basically unplayable to a smooth experience.
I just want to let know who is still sceptical about the tool that i've tried it, i play the game on a gaming laptop with a geforce 1070 and i want to share my experience so far. I did my first run (100 hours) trying to maximise the fps and i was able to squeeze an average of 50-60 fps for the whole run playing on low-med, after i finished the first run i decided to put everything on ultra and lock the fps to 40 and right now i'm in the middle of the second run. Why this introduction? Because i want to let you know that the tool in question really boost the performance of the game, because it will do some tweaks to downgrade the game graphic. I can assure you that playing the game taking out the graphic will give you a half experience because the way everything looks on high settings is really a big part of the game. I want to give a strong advice to use this tool just if you have a really old hardware and you want to play the game, but if you have something that can run the game on high settings at least on 30 stable fps, do yourself a favour and don't cripple the game just for few fps.
Imagine playing this at 40fps and thinking that is a full experience.

Absolutely jaw dropping. My GTX1080ti went from 48-60fps in 1080p to 60-80fps using balanced setting. I see no discernible difference in my visuals. Thank you.

5900x 6800xt running 4k ultra settings went from 38-45 fps to balanced 60-65 fps then turned on dynamic fidelity set target frames to 100 min resolution 85 max 100 stable 80-85fps at 4k. GG double the 3090s performance at 4k without rtx and no dlss and same as 3090 with DLSS. Wow is all I can say
Oh and the 3090 only gets 80fps with DLSS set to performance with rtx off at 4k

Well, tried it out. Each step down in quality makes a big difference in speed! But, the changes to the post processing, or whatever else is going on, seem to destroy the texture detail in dark areas for me. Over all, it looks less dramatic and cinematic. The graphic changes are maybe harder to spot during the day, but I would say the game's signature is the streets at night. Here, the price is too steep for me. PS, I'm on a Vega 64 and struggling in the low 30's on stock settings though. Looking forward to checking out the update with more in between steps. Thanks for the effort!

I'm playing C2077 on a 3.4GHz Core i7, 16MB RAM and a GTX 680 2MB card via Steam. The game is playable with graphics set to low and the resolution at 1600x900. Read about the Optimizer on Tom's Hardware, and thought I'd try it.
As any FPS increase would be welcome, I loaded up my save, which put V in their apartment during the day, started FRAPS benchmarking test. I began facing the door, walked to the window and looked out at the city, then went into the stash, and returned to the door.
I ran Optimizer and did the same thing. My save took 2-3 seconds less time to load and graphics looked better to me (colours seemed richer and shadows deeper). And FRAPS's benchmark files showed the average FPS increased from 64 to 78.
So this worked for me.
CDProjekt should license this and include it in the next PC patch.

Someone at CDPR give this dude a job FFS. My savegame spot at medium settings jumped from 38 FPS to 50 FPS with the max boost settings. I finally have the chance of getting 60 FPS at 2560p with much less aggressive resolution scaling. That's a huge boost!
so what does this do exactly? and why have you made it a program, despite all the consequences that brings with it? (which as a developer, you must be aware of)

- a game patch may break something
- the developer may abandon it
- even a basic a program can bug out, possibly corrupting something
- no real backups (reliance on the program)
- etc

- there is a backup, just click on the "Default" button and it will roll back everything as it was.
- If the game patch will break it, I hope it will be because they actually fixed the game and it runs at least like with this tool.
- I plan to update it and release new versions, so it's not a problem.
- This program will not bug out since there is nothing that can do so. Corruption isn't possible as well, since it doesn't touch critical files without which the game can't run.
I doubt these will break in a patch. Everything this program does can be done manually. It's just your more likely to mess something up. This program looks to just do it for you.
@@HazewinDog config file editors rarely become outmoded/broken by game patches, at worst some settings by become deprecated and nolonger have any effect, in most of those cases the game will simply remove those settings when it scans the file for what settings to use.
i have quite a few game config file editors going back to the 90's, a couple i made myself using VB, and, even with games that have gotten MANY MANY updates since, the editors still work...
an example, i made an editor thats a generic Unreal Engine config editor, all it does is find the config files, scans them, and displays the values they contain, then when you edit settings and hit 'save' it applies them and saves the config file.
that isnt something hard to make, or that often needs updated.
another example , there are plenty of apps like Roadkills Unstoppable Copier, that havent been updated since win8 or longer, that still work 100% as they did under windows 2000, they do not need an update to function as intended, what they are doing, is just a shell over built in windows functions... that havent changed in decades...
there are quite a list of examples i could give... this isnt a trainer that is likely to be broken by game updates, its just altering a .ini/.cfg... etc.. (so many extentions companies have used over the decades....), in this case, it dosnt edit any game files, just the config file itself, like when you can manually edit the resolution if the games not listing the one you want...
its doing sort of what GeForce Experience does... but very very simplified...

Their cred was lv50 when they were releasing the game... after that bugged release on consoles and pc and the huge amount of lackluster details (grenade physics be wack in water, they also don't destroy gas stations, the car physics... fire burning underwater, water effects being absent, NPCs not reacting else than crouching and sometimes running away, if there is crossfire with other NPCs and they shoot at a neutral NPC they don't react, body ragdoll physics, No special abilities for arm cyberware apart from gorilla arms, no flathead, AI for NPC cars missing, slow traffic with huge traffic lines because NPCs turn too slowly, NPC traffic can get stuck in an intersection because they don't have AI and block each other from turning, Lifepaths don't change anything meaningful in the game other that the very start, Technical skill tree, police wanted system is garbo, since no AI for cars No dynamic pursuits in-game all scripted, conversation options with skillchecks do not change the outcome most of the time, it's only insults or something like that that mean nothing, no hair customization post char creation, no car customization, no car dealership instead clunky random mission spawn with cars, a big chunk of side activities have no soul just go there kill that, or steal that, or hack that) everybody knew they tried ditching the fixer... and they lost all their cred in a moment.
I'm not saying I dislike the game, have already 85h in, but I say that yes, they do deserve a hot shit in front of the front door, mainly the executives that pushed for the release this soon and in this state(devs have no power, they probably wanted another year to get all of these features fixed and polished) So yeah. Hopefully they update the bugs out of the game and upgrade the game to include a lot of these details in the process.

Yes it actually work i dunno how my cpu i5 3470 bottlnecks my gtx 1650 but after applying this patch my gpu is maxed out and cpu is 80% which is actually nice thx buddy it really.fckin works hell yeah
