Martin keeps bringing up the 64 Corvette crash as "inexplicably" charged to Marcel. He wasn't shunted off the road, nor did the 88 close the door on him. He had plenty of room on the inside. He was trying to get past the 88 so he could pass the other car on the outside, and he didn't have room. He wasn't veering right into the 88 - not what I'm saying. He just wasn't turning left toward the apex like he should have been with a car on the outside. He was boxed in, and he drove across the 88's line. I think that's why they charged the 64 Corvette. That's how I saw it on the first replay, though in real time it seemed a no-brainer, responsibility to the 88. There are lots of reasons to be upset with the 88, but I think charging it to the 64 is legit.
I wouldn't make light of her crying either, she looks like she'd lay you out before you knew it happened... It must be so frustrating to get almost half way and your car is toast...
Toyota's got some massively talented drivers, Conway, Alonzo, Kobayashi, and I have to admit even Buemi. (Can't stand the guy - such a whiner - but he's reliable and fast.) But yeah, it's a bit like watching someone wank when you have one team and they always get the money shot at the end. But how do you integrate DPi? How many classes can there be? I really want to see what those Cadillacs could do here, but is DPi fast enough to merge with LMP1? If they're their own class, I count six classes - LMP1, LMP2, hypercar, DPi, GTE Pro, & GTE Am. GTE is always my favorite at Le Mans and WEC races, and four prototype classes - seems like they would squeeze out the GTE's. I'm no fan of hypercars. I don't need a race car to look more like my car. At that level, I'd prefer them to focus on speed. So, I'd prefer DPi to hypercars, but I think I'm a thin minority.
Beena Plumber we may be a thin minority preferring DPi, but we are the wiser, more knowledgeable group. Also, DPi is just to slow to be a part of LMP1. If DPi 2.0 was not to feature the aero decrease it will, then it would end up being equal with LMP1.

I'm interested to see how all these classes compete, but I'd really prefer DPi cars to race as DPi, not covered in a different body and called something different. Could hypercar performance be related to DPi performance with a different body and completely different aero? (Off-topic) I would really, really love to see the Cadillacs cut loose and allowed to perform at their best, but I know the BOP realities exist at Le Mans too. Just once though... I'm always wondering if it weren't for BOP, would the Cadillacs be dominating the IMSA races by many laps? I understand and agree with the need for fair BOP, but I'll never get to know what it would look like if they were truly unleashed. I might be completely out to lunch, and maybe the Acuras and Mazdas are faster, but I hate that I'll never get to know.
Schaukel Bob cuz they have no racing Team and i dont think they will do one because they are concentrating on selling multi million dollar cars to fat rich Americans or UAE royals.
@@l9spaceglider97 they are able to dominate this type of racing, what is a realy good advertising for a company like this, just thinking. I am just a poor guy so my opinion isn't worth it. do what you want.
@@schaukelbob3486 koenigsegg are useless at building cars. They say they are fast around a track but I've never seen them proving it, only straight line tests. Meanwhile there are tons of videos of Porsches and Ferraris flying around various tracks.
Schaukel Bob one more reason is they focus on building the fastest production car not in racing. And if they come in racing, they will first do 24 hours of Daytona then 24 hours of Le Mans

The ACO want DPi to come to Le Mans as well (and so do I, DPi>HyperCar).Blame the FIA.
