I don't think it's an oversight, considering that, with enough of food, Skaven ARE developing faster than any other race. Vampires can be exception, but they only get troops fast and not an actual buildings.
Remember, the only reason why the Skaven left skavenblight to begin and expanded was because clan Skryer once pressed the wrong button and removed skavenblight together with 95% of all existing Skaven. The very reason why the Skaven are a more dangerous chaos faction than well... chaos IS because they nuked their one city! This is not an exploit, it is lore accurate and historical. Somehow.
before the update, Ikkit should be trying to amass 120 food as fast as possible, while leaving Skavenblight to riot with as much unhappyness as you can muster. Manually fight and lose the defense, then rebuild at level 4 or 5 (depending on how much food you got)
@@quint3ssent1a low fantasy is basically just normal but with monsters, maybe different races, magic every now and then; warhammer is definitely high fantasy, theres rats with nukes, a pissed off mummy with a chariot, dinosaurs riding bigger dinosaurs with orbital death rays attached to them, spooky pirates, etc.

So now, as ikit you can just abandon your capital, a place that takes a veeeeeeeery long time to upgrade normally. So you can get it well over half way on turn 2. It does come with lots of problems though, at least if you ask me.

Granted, 20 turns is still faster then building up a single settlement province the old fashioned way anyhow.

A minibar, a giant cheese fondue fountain, warp stone candles to brighter the mood, fine dining on whatever they found on the ground, and the big red button that turns the city into a giant artillery cannon... for fireworks of course.

Bro. In the forbidden workshop, get the ratling gun upgrade that essentially gives them infinite ammo, feel like a king as a stream of green bullshit wipes out anything that comes your way. Ikkit especially can field the high tier weapons teams at a huge upkeep discount and warlock engineers beefs them up too with stupid-amazing buffs, yes yesss...
The nukes if done at the perfect time can literally wipe out a whole entire army in one shot while they are all bunched up in a fighting blob broke 5 armies in one battle that way
It's hilarious to play as Ikit Claw. You can go NUKES and bomb everyone. But be aware friendly fire is on permanently so drop the nuke in perfect moment. As for expansion well Estalia, Tilea, the Vaults and Sartosa the rest is up to you)) yes comment is 3 years old but hey maybe it will be helpful even now)

I think this would be useful for pestilens campaign since there is no major city close for you to easily capture and defend you might as well get the oxyl to t3-4 and get some weapons team.
I actually did something similar in my Ikit campaign, i confederated Skrolk and Oxyl was T3, first thing i did was abandoning it and building it up to T5
This is so oddly, wonderfully, perfectly in canon for Skaven that I am beginning to think that CA didn't add that feature for quality of life but just to make your Skaven campaigns easier for you to Roleplay.

True skaven knows how much food food his wares can hold earlygame, and more than 105 that is not not, while t5 requires 120 food yes yes
