    Brake cleaner: helpful for:
    1.) removing paint from another car if they hit you (thought you have to re-wax it because it does take that off and make sure you spray it on a rag, not directly on the car.
    2.) Paint, especially if you get some on the ceiling instead of the walls
    3.) Any stuck on material like sticker residue.

    @Scotty Kilmer -- the reason for the spring loaded clamps is it's faster & cheaper on the assembly line. The clamps come with a clip holding them wide open, so all the assembler needs to do is slide it into place and remove the clip.

    The main reason why you have to use motorcycle specific oil is not the loads that happen on the gears in the gearbox, but the fact that most motorcycles have wet clutches and engine oil has friction modifiers that would make that clutch slip. Even on old bikes with wet clutches. If you have a dry clutch bike like a Ducati, it will run perfectly fine on non-motorcycle-specific oil even with the shared crankshaft - gearbox sump.

    Unless you're buffing out scratches, don't use nu polish, use a synthetic wax for black,white,or silver colors, and carnauba for plain colors since it helps them "pop". I just waxed my silver tlx today with meguiars ultimate liquid wax and will top it weekly with some spray on wax

      This reminds me of when my childhood home was destroyed and a new house was built in place of it. The house went, and all of the memories from living there.

    Scotty, the need for motorcycle specific oil is not just for the transmission gears but for the wet clutch that is bathed in the oil.

    I prefer brake cleaner to carb cleaner for non-carburettor related cleaning. Carb cleaner leaves behind a residue, brake cleaner doesn't.

    I love using the NUFINISH stuff when cleaning my gun brass in my tumbler,
    just 2 capfuls into the crushed walnut media and 2 hours later!
    presto, shinny super clean brass and it stays shinny.

    To be honest it's been more than 15 years i use automotive oil in my motorcycles & i never had any problem yet. One is a Yamaha with 100,000km & the other one a 'modern' (2012) BMW with 65,000km

    P.S.: No pressure, Scotty.😎

      Or maybe metal halide high bays or a huge mercury vapor floodlight

    • @stephenarling1667
      @stephenarling1667 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LED is energy efficient, instant start, and there is no mercury waste from worn-out lamps. The only possible advantage to some special fluorescents (made by Philips) is their very high CRI, the color rendering index. That may be important in some fields.
