Sure, but it's also racing, if i wanted to go out solo I would (and I do when chasing lap times) the people being there is what makes it fun, but the assholes make it less fun. Driving around on your own for 15 minutes is boring imo I like a battle..... and often people get out of my way.. afterwards I'll tell them: hold your line. I appreciate they move out of the way for a faster driver if that's what they want to do but don't feel obligated to do so, we're all there to race. If it's a BIKC qualifying session or something, where we're chasing lap time then create your own space, but other than that the race is on
If a better driver catches me, I try to stay ahead sometimes to test myself, but let them by. Lots of times a bump is necessary to get people out of the way because they’re too ignorant to look behind.
I also felt that way. I appreciate that cos most people have tried to tell me I have to leave him a gap even tho hes behind me🤕 If someone’s slightly along side me, even the slightest…. i acknowledge them and always leave them the space I did apologise to him cos the way I take that corner is wider and sharper than most so probably caught him a little off guard how I just rotated and threw the kart into the corner, basically closed the door instantly Like I said in the video, I usually always shoulder check and leave the space if needed but due to how narrow the corner is I just didn’t expect to get dived😂 I thought he would just follow the line Thankyou for the comment!
Came here to say exactly the same, that was your corner, your apex and he had no right being there, he wasn't even beside you there was no space to give him, it was 100% on him
There aren’t two ways of looking at that first crash. He was way too far back to try going up the inside - two kart-lengths. You had started to turn in long before he even got his front bars near you. He basically took you out, and claiming he didn’t expect you to turn in for the apex is rubbish. He hadn’t even really started to turn when he hit you, or brake for that matter. Look where he ended up.
Well done! There are so many people out there with similar tactics. Appreciate the commentary and the honesty. It's good to keep it together especially when up against annoying drivers. Voiceover was great.

You mention it is a timed race and position does not matter and right off you comment on how you got passed on turn 1 and that you were going to try to get the place back. Does position matter or not?!?
Advice please! Nothing to do with this video I know but I entered a championship while ago (my first competitive drive ever and on an unfamiliar track). I had a great time and everyone drove with respect, except one young man who couldn't but obviously desperately wanted to get past me , so every braking zone he used me as his brakes and basically just shunted me into every corner. Is this common? Is it a genuine racing tactic in Karting? Was I within my rights to tell him what tw@t he is after the race? Thanks in advance
People talking about lap times and grid positions. Like guys, it's rental karting. We know ranking comes from your times but sometimes battling it out is way more fun. That's racing and we don't really get to do that in the first place lol
Yes to a point. But this guy (opponent not cammer) took it was too far. Karting/racing is NOT a contact sport. Of course rubs will happen. But that's entirely different from the people who choose to SLAM. Such as the opponent in this race. That is never acceptable for the potential Injuries even when trying to have fun over lap times
@@twoplainjane7833 Oh yeah absolutely, I just meant racing is great. Obviously that's not racing, that's just basketball defence on a track. What I meant was how people were talking about people overtaking and shit but in reality it's just fun even if it's not the goal.
Personally I couldn't see anything wrong with the guys race craft. The other attempts you were never down his inside enough to warrant him to yield his line. the tags he was throwing was shade, but other than that, should have relaxed yourself, come off the throttle and acknowledge there was decades of space behind you and fell back to that in order to pump out your clean laps then get embroiled in a battle with a slower driver. End of the day, it was a fastest lap session not a position race session.
I’m guilty for not backing off, I mentioned in a response to “xKstm” and others usually I religiously wave and let people through to find the space so I can lap at maximum pace or just as easily backed off These are public sessions so good “racing etiquette” doesn’t really get upheld as high in comparison to members events Can’t see in the video but il always multi book slots and race for a hour minimum, i do usually just allow myself to battle afew stints away if the situation warrants it. And I simply followed cos I was amused and also aware I’m recording… if I back off I couldn’t share this video!😉 jokes aside for sure didn’t help the situation battling but it was fun His race craft is the only disagreement here, due to I just deem his style of attacking and defending unsafe and disruptive

Love these types of messages tho, appreciate you planting the seed and I would never say no, who knows what the future brings! even if I don’t personally get a shifter I’m looking to race rotax and pro karts more for sure
I think due to how narrow and hard it is to overtake, it just forces drivers to make aggressive moves. There’s only one corner I like overtaking on, the rest can be sketchy😅 especially public session
Can't understand the bumping. I always enjoy following faster people to watch their lines and learn how I can get quicker. Otherwise how else are you going to get a little better.
Honestly this is my favourite way to learn, specially when I find myself at a new track! Or on members nights, most/all the members are super friendly and I ask them about corners I’m struggling with and they will always take the time to help! Like minded people👍🏼
That first crash was 100% not your fault. You were fully ahead of him going into that corner. You're not expected to leave any space because there's no one beside you to give space in the first place. That was fully your corner, and he just full sent the divebomb and caused a crash.
why even race at a TeamSport track, they don't look after their karts, the tracks are poorly designed/maintained. plus these tracks are a magnet for morons and the marshals couldn't care less. go to and outdoor track, you'll have a far better time and get your money's worth.
@@netflixisbetter fair, I'd rather be on an outdoor track that has grip as oppose to all these slippery tracks with wooden floors at teamsport. You do you though, if you enjoy it, that's great. I just think you don't get your money's worth at teamsport tracks, karts are slower and poorly maintained. You get black flagged for lightly bruising a barrier. 🤣
@@AizensChair yeah sorry i didn’t mean to sound like i was being stuck up just thought you were having a go at somebody for choosing to go teamsport instead as that’s what it sounded like. personally black flags are VERY rare i have been karting for 5 months and have only been flagged twice i think and they don’t even flag at my track for crashing into people/bumping barriers anymore 😭 but yes i get what you mean, outdoor tracks are obviously better just sometimes it’s easier to do indoor.
First of all: if the race is "time based" or "time attack" the best position to be in is either Position 1 or last position. Being that you know it's time based, trying to set your fastest lap time and your positioned in the middle of field, you should have pulled over and allowed everyone to pass, give yourself a large gap and then attempt your fast laps. This way you wouldn't have to deal with "aggressive, non skilled drivers" to interfere with your lap times. The larger the gap you have between you and next driver will improve your lap time. If it was a "position race", the driver you were having difficulty with, by the way they were driving, you could have read his brake points and exit points and counter attacked his positioning. Some of those turns, a later apex would have better in resulting to a faster exit out of the apexes. I have 25+ years experience with karting. Fuel karts & electric karts. I have raced on indoor tracks, outdoor tracks, split surfaced tracks.
100% agree. Read my reply to “xKstm” from three days ago where I say I usually don’t battle too much and always look to find space. Via dropping back or letting people overtake to create the space Il be honest this was a guilty pleasure, watching how this person was racing. I also knew I had another two sessions after this stint to go for lap times (ended up setting a PB after this stint) Since this is a open session I understand that sometimes they can be abit hectic so some stints I will battle. But the reason I repeatedly state ‘it’s a time trail’ is due to this guy not understanding that, he was racing for his life trying to get P1😂 I also mentioned in the video afew times I was looking for a late apex with good exit speed (1:24 & 6:00 for example) I’m a amateur but have a reasonable understanding of race craft… I also mentioned how incredibly narrow this track is. Making overtaking very awkward. As a 25+ year driver I’m sure you’ll understand some tracks don’t favour overtaking as much as others such as this one. Not impossible but harder to make clean moves (the only moves I will go for unlike kart 1 in video) 😅 Slight misunderstanding but I agree and have stated the same things either in the video or in the comments👍🏽

Trying to watch this video
Getting sea sick 😂
Sorry dude hectic session and trying to showcase everything😪😂 0.75 speed and a bucket lol
@@AaronYEETS never watched a helmet cam that spins
Great video either way 💯
@@loopsmybrother6156 Thanks man I appreciate it and I glad you enjoy
I’ve not posted much after a big crash afew months ago, going to be posting a lot of content soon that hopefully doesn’t make you wanna throw up😂🫨 il try my best but can’t promise lol
I love the helmed and littlegloves
What a great guy you are bro... nice video!
Top tier message dude, thankyou man appreciate it👏🏽
@@AaronYEETS Of course man
Kinda think you souldve given number 4 more space. He gave you some more previously
Yeah I’m surprised I didn’t shoulder check cos I always check to see what’s going on behind me and il always leave the space if needed. Technically he is required to give me way and I shouldn’t have to leave him space but usually I do
no it was a stupid divebomb he was miles to far ahead
I'm not into carts but this was extremely interesting, thanks heaps.
More coming📹
Just wanna mention I got dizzy with all the spinning you're doing...😂
Sometimes a good push at the end of the straight is all you need. He breaks you dont, his is in the tyres and you are not. And the first crash was not so nice of the guy behind you either.
He can’t get a good laptime so of course he has to try to bring down everyone else’s laptimes
Just curious what it costs to race these carts?
about £40/per person
i had this with a driver last week at teamsport london docklands.. the marshall did absolutely nothing.. I mean its east london so all they care about is having a job not for the customers to have a good time.. Anyway.. apart from the one driver everyone else is usually respectful..
what track/place is this?
Teamsport Dunstable 🏁
There is nothing more anoying than not being able to get clear air in timed events
Especially when you have the good kart!
The Mario kart camera angle is getting to me lol
So, he didn’t expect you to turn towards the apex? It’s not like he was along side of you. He was like 5 car lengths back.
Hey dude, great video :) I got a 39.094 today so looking forward to your 38.4 video to see where I can grab some time!
What camera are you using please? Fancy picking myself up one!
39 is a solid time! Il be posting the session on Tuesday👍🏽
I recently switched to a Insta 360 x3. Highly recommend and I appreciate your comment dude!
Very overdue but I hope this helps! th-cam.com/video/srsgVnARn6M/w-d-xo.html

Saw this title and thought it would be a Max Verstappen video.
How much does this cost
I love this race track it’s in cardiff, wales on Newport road and it’s great fun with mates
The footage is from Teamsport Dunstable, good track just north of London
@@AaronYEETS I’ve live next to it and it’s in wales
@@Simplycubing_fan-1 I recorded this video and I’m driving, this specific video is Teamsport Dunstable👍🏼

@Dr-seuss I understand dude a lot of the venues look similar! It does look like an amazing track, hopefully il be able to visit one day!

Aaron I just noticed your camera is roof height, ha ha ha.
My nick name is the racing unicorn with how tall the camera sticks out my helmet😂🦄😂
People have made gestures in the pits before to how tall it is but the 360 view is amazing
Use him as your brake after the long straight.
Sometimes the races can get bit rgi bargy
His Idol is Nikita Mazepin

Rubbing is Racing
Lol more fun for sure
cutting people off isnt tho lol
It's all about racing lines, who's ahead has the line. However there's always that one dirty racer.
I’m guilty for not backing off, I mentioned in a response to “xKstm” and others usually I religiously wave and let people through to find the space so I can lap at maximum pace or just as easily backed off
These are public sessions so good “racing etiquette” doesn’t really get upheld as high in comparison to members events
Can’t see in the video but il always multi book slots and race for a hour minimum, i do usually just allow myself to battle afew stints away if the situation warrants it. And I simply followed cos I was amused and also aware I’m recording… if I back off I couldn’t share this video!😉 jokes aside for sure didn’t help the situation battling but it was fun
His race craft is the only disagreement here, due to I just deem his style of attacking and defending unsafe and disruptive
Lol coming from a motorcross/supercross back ground id taken him out.. like really taken him out... or as they say... shutting the door
And they are electronic
I’ve been here ( I was 14 and never drove before I was terrible came 6th) 😂😂
It takes some learning but don’t forget there’s usually around 14 karts so 6th would actually be towards the top!
You obviously have a passion and skill set for racing and you're young. So why don't you invest in a shifter cart and leave the kiddy tracks behind?
@@docohm50 it’s expensive but I’ve got some rotax content coming soon that I filmed abroad! Love these types of messages tho, appreciate you planting the seed and I would never say no, who knows what the future brings! even if I don’t personally get a shifter I’m looking to race rotax and pro karts more for sure
Didn't expect you to cut quickly to the apex?? So he expected you to what, go round it on the outside?
😂 I worded it poorly but I literally yanked the steering wheel, want exactly a smooth and steady entry line
I can relate
Dunstable is such a good track but in any race you do there, there is always one idiot racing dangerously!
I think due to how narrow and hard it is to overtake, it just forces drivers to make aggressive moves. There’s only one corner I like overtaking on, the rest can be sketchy😅 especially public session
Drive like a bat outta hell
Can't understand the bumping. I always enjoy following faster people to watch their lines and learn how I can get quicker. Otherwise how else are you going to get a little better.
Honestly this is my favourite way to learn, specially when I find myself at a new track!
Or on members nights, most/all the members are super friendly and I ask them about corners I’m struggling with and they will always take the time to help!
Like minded people👍🏼
People really think this is F1 or something. It’s not that big of a deal who gives a shit about track positions ?
You T-boned him. You were just as bad. Quicker sure. But just as bad.
Rubbing is racing
I'm sorry but this camera makes me motionsick
That first crash was 100% not your fault. You were fully ahead of him going into that corner. You're not expected to leave any space because there's no one beside you to give space in the first place. That was fully your corner, and he just full sent the divebomb and caused a crash.
why even race at a TeamSport track, they don't look after their karts, the tracks are poorly designed/maintained. plus these tracks are a magnet for morons and the marshals couldn't care less. go to and outdoor track, you'll have a far better time and get your money's worth.
because you get longer for less money and it’s still good fun
@@netflixisbetter less money? 🤣 errr nope.
@@AizensChair the outdoor track here for me is £60 for 20 minutes or teamsport £35(ish) for 30 minutes
Via dropping back or letting people overtake to create the space
Il be honest this was a guilty pleasure, watching how this person was racing. I also knew I had another two sessions after this stint to go for lap times (ended up setting a PB after this stint)
Since this is a open session I understand that sometimes they can be abit hectic so some stints I will battle. But the reason I repeatedly state ‘it’s a time trail’ is due to this guy not understanding that, he was racing for his life trying to get P1😂
I also mentioned in the video afew times I was looking for a late apex with good exit speed (1:24 & 6:00 for example) I’m a amateur but have a reasonable understanding of race craft… I also mentioned how incredibly narrow this track is. Making overtaking very awkward. As a 25+ year driver I’m sure you’ll understand some tracks don’t favour overtaking as much as others such as this one. Not impossible but harder to make clean moves (the only moves I will go for unlike kart 1 in video) 😅
Slight misunderstanding but I agree and have stated the same things either in the video or in the comments👍🏽
You were just as bad as him aside from you whinged a whole lot ,,
Entertainment purposes and commentating, it comes with the territory sir
i don’t know why you’re crying over a little tap and blocking
Quit being a crybaby my guy. It's rental karts so nothing matters. 😢😢😢
what 😂 people can still make him angry doesn’t matter what it is and rental karting is still competitive
