There is much less garbage waste as well. Reusing jars saves money and the impact on the environment.
If you have canned beans on the shelf and the electricity is out you can grab them. It is worth it ❤
Absolutely worth canning beans!!
Great video. You are so efficient and enthusiastic!
Thank you!
Canning beans is definitely worth it in my opinion! I love having them available! I am a working momma and I find that canning helps me have quick nutritious meals at the ready! We are very far from town so no doordash or anything here lol!
When I was younger I didn’t know how to can . We would have saved so much money. I self taught myself . I love canning. It’s just my husband and I. We are retired and save so much money and time. Let’s keep encouraging people to can .So proud of you ❤
Thank you, Tina!
Love canning black beans and others! We are out right now and I need to can more we miss them. Great skill to have. I agree with all your reasoning for doing it yourself too😊❤
In addition to all those reasons, I like to know and control exactly what is going into the food I am eating.
Thank you Teaal house ♥️ 👌🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Black Beans are my favorite Bean for Chili, Burritos, and just about anything. Homemade is always better, and if you put them in glass jars after canning, then they don't get the aluminum/tin taste as when they're commercially canned. I buy Organic canned Black Beans if on sale but homemade would be much better and you're saving a lot of money. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. 😊❤
I think canning is always worth it. Food security like you said.
Yes, it is absolutely worth it to can those dried beans!
I think so too!
Canning beans is totally worth it. They can be used for so many meals and it saves money!
Exactly!
I buy canned beans and dry beans . The dry beans last for ever stored properly and canned beans are a quick meal.
It’s nice having both. If you can get dry beans and canning them your self cheaper than buying canned and dry and you love canning go for it. . It’s about doing you,
❤
In order to get ahead, you save on expenses. You come out ahead if you work at it. Its your job and you are home with your kids. The kids have a wonderful life.
We go through canned beans quickly. I use them in a variety of recipes and makes meal prep quick and easy. It is time for me to can beans again. It is definitely a savings to can beans at home.
It really speeds meal prep up!
It is worth it but make sure you do it safely.
The cooking/ stove top time is about the same between canning several and cooking up a bunch of beans too.
Very true!
The cost of 1 can of beans cost more than a 1 lb. Dry beans. And 1 lb. Make 6 pints . Which do you want 1 can beans or 6 jars of beans for less money. Canning should be a part of everyone's life. Blessings friend
Canning dry beans like that is an unauthorized method. Check the USDA book.
If you are going to buy the dried beans to eat and cook, why not go ahead and put them in jars.
Exactly!
