Great to see the J2 campervan - I lived in one similar as a student back in the 1970's on the Hall of Residence car park for over a year before I was 'discovered'!
I am amazed to see the big green bus that featured in the famous article on 60 minutes Australia back in 1986. The spare tyre mounted to the upper deck gives it away. The original article is still on TH-cam.
Crossley Regent reg number 434 BTE is a bus that I used to travel to school on when she was in the Darwen Corporation Transport fleet - glad to see her looking so well after all these years.
These places need to stay open. It is important to keep vehicles like these in safe keeping to remind people of the way transport used to be. Money is needed to keep doing this. This is a bit worrying. Videos like this one might entice more people into going and having a look. Vaughan
A gorgeous bit of history well preserved, long may they remain. Thankyou for showing us around, will definitely be paying a visit and leaving a donation. Places like this need to say alive ❤
A MUST to see for any enthusiastic person that loves to see these lovely old but still tunable & street legal vehicles of yesteryear. I do agree some are still in a bit of repair ( seats) But, throughout this video the one bus I didn't get to see ( either not here or was not found) Was a bus used by RIBBLE & had a large heavy sliding door on front for passengers to exit & enter the bus & the had the GREAT DAYS of a conductor aswell. Sadly I cannot remember what that bus was. But would recognise it if saw it again. But, no luck in the past 35+ years of seeing it last could be much longer my memory not so good anymore 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Certainly not since it was removed from service. Was in All red last time I seen it. But, not bothered now as long as I saw it again. ( But, I very sadly doubt that will ever happen again).
A fascinating video. But a bit of commentary about what we are seeing would be appreciated instead of that dreadful music. Where is this museum as I'd like to visit the next time I'm in the UK. Cheers!
Been there ,great day out,so many memories
Interesting to see the inside of the building. I served my apprenticeship there back in the 70's when it belonged to Merseyside Transport.
