Well it seems like the Madden team is embracing the collaboration and competition. Madden 25 has taken some leaps, especially on the field, but its franchise mode is like a small child compared to the monster that is this dynasty mode.

They have brought a guy over to the madden team he was over nfl head coach 09. Said madden needs work but will take time. This year they are starting in right direction. The developers for college football 25 have an incredible staff. They even included certain PC gamers that kept college football revamped alive all these years. Wow!!!
I think it was by the design, I can be wrong though but hear me out I think they intentionally made the trailer for madden 25 trash, and focused on NCAA 25 to attract more players that don’t watch college ball or don’t know and never played ncaa games,because they know people who watch football are gonna buy madden 25 anyways. For example I don’t know anything about college football except for who wins the heisman/ national championship, and I’m way more interested in NCAA 25. So they want to make sure people buy both games. Honestly you can tell that the staff that’s working on ncaa 25 are college football fans.

Gameplay still a question mark. They seem to hit the nail on the head with out of game features but I want to know if gameplay was worked on as hard as the other stuff. It’s not football to me if the coding doesn’t allow a big 6’4 receiver to jump higher and box out a smaller defender for a contested catch. So far they have not shown an instance of that happening.

I am truly excited for this. I haven’t bought madden in years because it lacked so much depth in franchise. I feel like this will fulfill that desire that so many of us want in football simulation
Realistic fluid GAMEPLAY is paramount, everything else is secondary. While I remain hopeful I don’t trust EA. Two weeks out from release n gameplay we’ve seen is minimal, this in itself is worrisome. I’ll respectfully hold out for reviews.
Doubt it purely because it's a different league. There may be a dip in revenue, but it's still a game of the top professional league with no actual competitors.

Building off of the standard was the target goal for a 1st iteration from 14. It's a positive start. Reinventing the wheel would have been less well received.
none of this matters if the core game is still Madden. Same engine, same animation based gameplay, same shoddy physics...there's only slight differences here and there.

Im reading so many comments talking about how refreshing it is that Moody is acting positive, as if his negativity has been unwarranted. EA producing something for Moody to be positive about is what's actually refreshing here. People have become so content with below-mediocrity and are simply upset that Moody indirectly exposes them everytime Moody exposes EA's habits. Generally I could understand folks initial comments regarding Moody's firsr CF25 video and it possibly being a reskin of Madden, but at the same time, even in my own disagreement in his thoughts, I do understand that EA has been endicted so many times that to expect Moody to give them the benefit of the doubt hasn't been earned by EA. Maybe EA will turn the corner here. But Moody's initial pessimism was more than valid basednon EA's history

I truly think the reason sports games neglect the PC community is because they know the modders will make them look bad. They need to save things to make it look like they needed a full year to add them to the game - whereas the modders do it in a few weeks.
This game not being overseen by ncaa helps them no restrictions madden restrictions definitely hurt the game. But hopefully now in the next few years madden can improve the franchise mode i know it will take a bit cus they only have a year to work on it every game compared to this took years
Everyone saying why can’t Madden be like this. You do know that EA Sports does what the NFL tells them to put on the game right? The reason why this College Football game will be great is because this is not a NCAA game. This is College Football 25. So EA is not restricted to what they can do with this game. Remember when Madden used to have the cart to get an injured player off the field. The NFL told EA to take that out of the game. Remember when helmets would pop off in the game. You guessed it, NFL and Goodell told EA to get that off the game. And it’s hard to do what EA did with college cause all the colleges are not run by a league like the 32 NFL teams, Madden will continue to be like this because the only way to get all 32 teams from the NFL is to have the NFL contract.
A lot of the NFL telling them what to add and not to add is a myth for the most part, the way the injuries looked and dynamic attendance feat were definitely NFL input but alot of what Madden lacks is due to themselves

Wouldn’t they make more money if 2K and other publishers could make NFL sims? I haven’t bought Madden since Madden ‘11. If 2K made a sim and delivered, or a different company, they’d get my money again.
yeah, this just isn’t it fam. nobody gives af about a cart coming out for injuries or helmets popping off. that is 0.01% of gameplay. Things that are easily solveable: - Updated positional designations (no edge rushers at LB/DT, no linebackers w their hand in the dirt) - Unique updated playbooks (live playbook feature has not been TOUCHED since Madden 22). -Proper UDFA contracts -Proper in-season FA signing negotations - Proper restructues, inclusion of void years (teams like PHI, NO, TB save $50M+ bc the cap hits aren’t included) - Holdouts (used to be in game) - Trade requests - Tiered “NBA 2k” ability system (NCAA did this, EA doesnt because “X factor” is buzzword for marketing/MUT) - Realistic rookie faces (half the rookies are bald or look 45. some have faces from Madden 16) - CPU teams making trades during the draft - Realistic cap management (Burrow, Tlaw, etc hitting FA. Signing with teams in preseason for 1yr/10m) + a million more that have nothing to do with the NFL

they don't have the NCAA license, that's why it's called EA sports cfb 25, and they didn't take the ESPN license because apparently ESPN wanted to force some things on the game, so it's basically all up to EA on what they want to add
I freaking loved the deep dive on Dynasty. The detail in this portion of the game is better than anything Madden has had in the last 15 to 20 years. College Football 25 has the potential to be possibly the best or at least one of the top 3 video games of all time in EA Sports History. If it turns out the way I think it will

I thought for sure this was gonna be bad, but these devs proved that they actually care about the game and they’re actually trying and listening to the community.
i am hoping the game is going to be great. Its going to be worlds better than '14 simply because its revamped graphics. I'm not sure you actually ever played NCAA before. EVERYTHING they showcased in Dynasty is exactly how its always been, particularly with recruiting (all factors and even hot bed areas). Competitive visits, dealbreaker and lockouts has ALWAYS been in NCAA recruiting game. The coaching tree is really great (though this is what madden has been doing). The portal is just a shortened off season recruiting. I'm not saying its bad, its just a new UI. Recruiting as they showcased has ALWAYS existed in NCAA
This really could give Madden the swift kick in the arse it needs to become better. I mostly enjoyed Madden last year. The only thing is it always feels more like a roster and uniform update than a new game. 🤞

Okay. Now we sorta got something. I'm pretty well versed with NCAA and a decent chunk of this (Coaching Trees specifically) is being brought over from NCAA 14. The Recruiting looks pretty deep and if they can find a way to pull it off along with the Transfer Portal, it can be really special. The point thing has me a bit skittish cause I do remember how crappy this came off in 14. It wasn't good. Recruiting in 13 gave you 10 hours to recruit, 3 to scout and you had to delegate accordingly. This was to me, the best recruiting EA had. The Coaching Carousel introduced in 12 was really fun as was the ability to start as a coordinator handling just one side of the ball. (I always started as an OC) I'm gonna wait and see what this looks like after a few patches and see what folks say. This may end up getting me to get a PS5 just to play this.
The 32 teams/30 seasons thing made my gut drop 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 because now we know that this is a literal reskin. 32 is not a number based on how the code works, and what their capacity is. They simply took the exact program from madden. Shortcuts yet again. 25 teams wouldve made me a lot happier! Wouldve been a good sign. The years thing makes some sense but nobody actually plays long anyways. Ive done it twice.

32 teams is whats sticking out to me? Then I remembered why… This game is probably a stripped down version of madden with new features for college. So it makes sense the max teams is 32 because in madden dynasty you have 32 teams.

2 different dev teams. Always has been. When NCAA football was discontinued they put most of the Team on madden mobile.

Im reading so many comments talking about how refreshing it is that Moody is acting positive, as if his negativity has been unwarranted. EA producing something for Moody to be positive about is what's actually refreshing here. People have become so content with below-mediocrity and are simply upset that Moody indirectly exposes them everytime Moody exposes EA's habits. Generally I could understand folks initial comments regarding Moody's firsr CF25 video and it possibly being a reskin of Madden, but at the same time, even in my own disagreement in his thoughts, I do understand that EA has been endicted so many times that to expect Moody to give them the benefit of the doubt hasn't been earned by EA. Maybe EA will turn the corner here. But Moody's initial pessimism was more than valid basednon EA's history

I truly think the reason sports games neglect the PC community is because they know the modders will make them look bad.
They need to save things to make it look like they needed a full year to add them to the game - whereas the modders do it in a few weeks.
I have a feeling that the 30 year cap is so they can keep all of the statistics year to year unlike Madden.
This game not being overseen by ncaa helps them no restrictions madden restrictions definitely hurt the game. But hopefully now in the next few years madden can improve the franchise mode i know it will take a bit cus they only have a year to work on it every game compared to this took years

Everyone saying why can’t Madden be like this. You do know that EA Sports does what the NFL tells them to put on the game right? The reason why this College Football game will be great is because this is not a NCAA game. This is College Football 25. So EA is not restricted to what they can do with this game. Remember when Madden used to have the cart to get an injured player off the field. The NFL told EA to take that out of the game. Remember when helmets would pop off in the game. You guessed it, NFL and Goodell told EA to get that off the game. And it’s hard to do what EA did with college cause all the colleges are not run by a league like the 32 NFL teams, Madden will continue to be like this because the only way to get all 32 teams from the NFL is to have the NFL contract.
A lot of the NFL telling them what to add and not to add is a myth for the most part, the way the injuries looked and dynamic attendance feat were definitely NFL input but alot of what Madden lacks is due to themselves
You make a valid point. What I don’t understand is why the NFL doesn’t want there to be multiple third party companies with rights to the league. Wouldn’t they make more money if 2K and other publishers could make NFL sims? I haven’t bought Madden since Madden ‘11. If 2K made a sim and delivered, or a different company, they’d get my money again.
yeah, this just isn’t it fam. nobody gives af about a cart coming out for injuries or helmets popping off. that is 0.01% of gameplay.
Things that are easily solveable:
- Updated positional designations (no edge rushers at LB/DT, no linebackers w their hand in the dirt)
- Unique updated playbooks (live playbook feature has not been TOUCHED since Madden 22).
-Proper UDFA contracts
-Proper in-season FA signing negotations
- Proper restructues, inclusion of void years (teams like PHI, NO, TB save $50M+ bc the cap hits aren’t included)
- Holdouts (used to be in game)
- Trade requests
- Tiered “NBA 2k” ability system (NCAA did this, EA doesnt because “X factor” is buzzword for marketing/MUT)
- Realistic rookie faces (half the rookies are bald or look 45. some have faces from Madden 16)
- CPU teams making trades during the draft
- Realistic cap management (Burrow, Tlaw, etc hitting FA. Signing with teams in preseason for 1yr/10m)
+ a million more that have nothing to do with the NFL
@@Mango-pl6pm the core gameplay needs to be torn down and built back from the ground up. The AI and physics need to be completely rebuilt. It just isn’t good football simulation anymore.

Hopefully NCAA is less strict than NFL. And not force the games to get rid of certain game features because I feel like that ruins the game more and more
they don't have the NCAA license, that's why it's called EA sports cfb 25, and they didn't take the ESPN license because apparently ESPN wanted to force some things on the game, so it's basically all up to EA on what they want to add
I freaking loved the deep dive on Dynasty. The detail in this portion of the game is better than anything Madden has had in the last 15 to 20 years. College Football 25 has the potential to be possibly the best or at least one of the top 3 video games of all time in EA Sports History. If it turns out the way I think it will

I'm not sure you actually ever played NCAA before. EVERYTHING they showcased in Dynasty is exactly how its always been, particularly with recruiting (all factors and even hot bed areas). Competitive visits, dealbreaker and lockouts has ALWAYS been in NCAA recruiting game.
The coaching tree is really great (though this is what madden has been doing). The portal is just a shortened off season recruiting. I'm not saying its bad, its just a new UI. Recruiting as they showcased has ALWAYS existed in NCAA

The amount of work and detail that seems to be in this is great. Even if the gameplay was a copy and paste of Madden, which it isn’t, but if it was it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world because of the rest of the work they’ve done.

I'm pretty well versed with NCAA and a decent chunk of this (Coaching Trees specifically) is being brought over from NCAA 14. The Recruiting looks pretty deep and if they can find a way to pull it off along with the Transfer Portal, it can be really special. The point thing has me a bit skittish cause I do remember how crappy this came off in 14. It wasn't good. Recruiting in 13 gave you 10 hours to recruit, 3 to scout and you had to delegate accordingly. This was to me, the best recruiting EA had.
The Coaching Carousel introduced in 12 was really fun as was the ability to start as a coordinator handling just one side of the ball. (I always started as an OC) I'm gonna wait and see what this looks like after a few patches and see what folks say. This may end up getting me to get a PS5 just to play this.
I’m hopeful we can lock out cpu teams in the playoff in online dynasty. They didn’t say if we could.
The 32 teams/30 seasons thing made my gut drop 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 because now we know that this is a literal reskin. 32 is not a number based on how the code works, and what their capacity is. They simply took the exact program from madden. Shortcuts yet again. 25 teams wouldve made me a lot happier! Wouldve been a good sign. The years thing makes some sense but nobody actually plays long anyways. Ive done it twice.

32 teams is whats sticking out to me? Then I remembered why… This game is probably a stripped down version of madden with new features for college. So it makes sense the max teams is 32 because in madden dynasty you have 32 teams.
Yea that was probably something they took from madden since it was probably easier and adding more than that would’ve probably taken way too much time. But 32 should be just fine. Idk who tf has more than 32 ppl to play with
