The carrier based planes were kept in a pretty clean condition for reasons of corrosion control more than vanity. The Marine Corps aircraft which were mostly operating from island bases with crushed coral runways tended to have a more sandblasted look.
Just my opinion my friend, but the maintenance crew should have had a Captains mast for that mudpack, at the very least a good chewing out by the CAG. But aside from that a yeoman's job.
Fantastic. I admire your weathering skills.
great looking aircraft !!!! i am going to use this as a reference for mine. thanks !!!
Excellent piece of mastery work!!
Excellent model, congratulations. One small criticism: You should slightly flatten the wheels to simulate the aircraft's weight.
Absolutely beautiful job. Well done.
Wow, that looks great! Wish I had an airbrush setup.
Nice work 👍👍
Bon travail de patine 👍🇫🇷
Nice work I like the weathering.
Hello great job on this bird thank you very much for sharing

Oeps forgot to say sand down tires so plane looks like it has wait, even rubber tires can be sanded
Sir hi, the music was just fantastic, it added a lot of zeal to be an American
6:28 the most excellent part
Too heavy weathering (5:25) but some places look better.
Magnifique !!! Superbe !!
What yellow is that inside the cockpit? I keep using tamiya cockpit colour and it doesn’t look anything like yours.
I'l bet that's at least a $100 kit. Who made it?
Awesome bird, man!
Beautifull...
how do you paint these... i want to get into building these but i am a noob
If I use black surface primer by Vallejo what colour should I use for shading , or go with a lighter primer?
I have this, its a bear of a model.
Nice, but I will stick to my 1 18 Huge TBF Avenger, George Bush model.
Trumpy? God save the king? Or yank graduation theme?🤔
Jman👀
Odd choice of music for this plane
I know, right? So much pomp and circumstance to it.
i am sorry but planes even in war time would never be that dirty .
with salt air and everything else to do ,,refuel rearm ,check oil ,they had time to wash and rub down???
