I’ve seen Brian Wilson live over the years… There is no comparison… Brian is always true to the music… No schtick… When Brian is involved every note is accounted for.
To my tastes that sounds boring. When I go see a show I'm hoping for the music to take on new life and meaning, maybe an interpretation that is performed with that particular night in mind. By that point I've heard the source material dozens of times, now show me what happens when the solo is 64 bars instead of 32, when you jam on the outro, when you crank up because everyone is dancing so hard in the arena that there's only but one choice which is to feed that beast a sacrifice of volume, speed, intensity. And sometimes yeah, I wanna hear that high note get sang and etc because it's cool to know that the studio version can even be done. I'm not saying you're wrong, just suggesting that there can be value in going out of pocket. The second half of "Sweet Child Of Mine" was the record producer refusing to turn the tape off and telling the band to just see what happens next, sometimes when a band improvs a miracle happens
And again.....I am South African and have moved with my family to Mauritius for a better life for my daughter.....she is 8 years old and LOVES The Beach Boys and Full House. PLEASE COME TO MAURITIUS!
On this day in 1963 {December 15th} "Be True To Your School" by the Beach Boys peaked at #6 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; it had entered the chart on October 27th and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100... It was the boys' 3rd Top 10 record for the year 1963 {the others were "Surfin' U.S.A." {#3} and "Surfer Girl" {#7}... The B-side, "In My Room", also charted, it reached #23 and stayed on the Top 100 for 11 weeks... R.I.P. Dennis {1944-1983} and Carl {1946-1998}...
I remember they performed this song on Full House in the episode "Our Very First Telethon" It was hilarious. When Mike asks Jesse to do a small solo, drum roll, Jesse starts doing this huge drum solo. That's exactly what John did in this video...
I saw the same act at San Diego Co. Fair about 2 months before this. Didn't think much of his sitcom career, But Stamos pretty much stole the show with his music talent and energy! He's just as good on guitar, which he switched back and forth with that night.
@@Joemamagaywsf he's old, so pf course he's more successful! At least I'm young and I haven't gotten a chance to prove myself! I agree with the other dude, at least John has hair!
Apparently the only original Beach Boy on this is Mike. Love this song-kids need to hear and appreciate their schools today. So much has changed for the bad. Sad.
Contrived bullshit humour. As if I want to see the Beach boys with J Stamos. They said Dennis sucked at drums. I hear Stamos fluctuating a simple beat. He's not a good drummer.
Why....he's a professional drummer and he has toured with the beach boys for many years, and in fact he learned his drumming from the late Dennis Wilson.
Are you freaking kidding me , John has been playing drums since he was 4 years old his parents got him lessons when he was a child and he was a naturally good at it and learned quick.
I like this song because it was on full house ❤❤❤

John good job!!!!
John is one hot drummer!!
Beach Boys? Looked like Mike Love, John Stamos and some other people who might not have been Beachboys.
Different lineups like the Yankees.
No....different lineup like the Cleveland Browns......
You don't enjoy music?
Only Mike Love and Al Jardine (when you could glimpse him). This was painful.
Yea well life happens.
The crowd enjoyed it so who cares you didn't have a ticket did you? Didn't think so
All I see is Mike Love, where is the rest of the Beach Boys?
Bruce is there!!
Making fun of the Uncle Jessie mullet? Hey Mike NEWSFLASH! At least Stamos has hair! Even 20 some years later after the mullet days!!
Dude it's a joke don't disrespect Mike he more successful then you'll ever be
@@Joemamagaywsf he's old, so pf course he's more successful! At least I'm young and I haven't gotten a chance to prove myself! I agree with the other dude, at least John has hair!
@@trinitylivingston1286 You think old equals success ? I can show you plenty of retirees living on catfood who would beg to differ.
The banter was so scripted, Mike is a shitty actor.
Awesome guy.
Great stuff. Go John!

John has been playing drums since he was 4 years old.

The Honeys.Marilyn Wilson her sister and their cousin.
John's the best, to funny!😂😂
Apparently the only original Beach Boy on this is Mike. Love this song-kids need to hear and appreciate their schools today. So much has changed for the bad. Sad.

Joe Stamos is not as bad as i thought as a drummer.... Yet they are NOT the Beach Boys! The BB were Brian, Carl,Dennis, Al....

Mike Loves fame to life was that he was cousins with Brian Wilson.
actually it is his lyrics on a great many songs, Brian was the composer
That would be wrong.
LSweet2007 damn they all made it!
Did mike mouth "the f***?"
Peter Tran yes yes he did 😂
This is one band that the drummer gets more girls than the singer.
note to mike love : Be true your school is a song about school spirit !
It's never been patriotic in any way..!
Andreia Reminiec he was kidding
badom tish
He drags the beat a bit but not to bad.
All live drummers do it adds to the performance.

he's ok, but not no Joe Vitale for sure
Contrived bullshit humour. As if I want to see the Beach boys with J Stamos. They said Dennis sucked at drums. I hear Stamos fluctuating a simple beat. He's not a good drummer.
I never knew Mike Love was Jessie's Dad.

Are you freaking kidding me , John has been playing drums since he was 4 years old his parents got him lessons when he was a child and he was a naturally good at it and learned quick.
