Couple of questions if you don't mind. Are you able to edit the audio from each video clip/track on their own separate tracks, or are they "stuck" forever linked inside their video clips on the timeline? Secondly, do you happen to know if you can simply "smush" two clips into each other, within a single track, in order to achieve a cross-fade/dissolve between the two, or are you required to keep them on separate tracks and fade them separately like you did here? I'm coming from older Movie Studio 15, which was just kind of a "(Sony)Magix Vegas Light" type of deal, and not how they have done this new software currently. So these are things I'm used to being able to do and am hoping Magix kept in for this new software... For example, in old MS/Vegas the audio and video are on separate tracks for editing. They're automatically grouped and move together as one, but you're also able to un-group them and edit each video+audio clip/region independently. All the slicing, fading, key frames, etc can be done separately and show as such on the timeline. Not to mention you can have your FX either linked to the entire track itself, OR place FX onto each individual clip/region inside those tracks, OR BOTH. Is that sort of freedom available here, or are we stuck with clips' audio forever hidden inside those regions on your timeline? Thanks for your video, and thanks in advance if you answer!
Wow, that's a lot of text. Each clip is independent. So if you adjust the audio on a clip it only affects that clip. If you group two clips together, then when you adjust the audio, it adjusts for the whole group (treats as one clip and adjusts both clips at the same time). Similarly, adjusting the transparency of a group of clips adjusts for the whole group. Fade in and fade out are on either end and can either be dragged in toward the center, or else adjacent clips may be slid over the current clip to transition also. There's also keyframing for more control over these elements.
Question, I purchased this software to edit drone footage. Some footage needs to be edited scene by scene to give the video an overall same exposure. Can that be done with this software? Looking forward to your answer! Thanks!
I don't see why not. Cut at each scene transition and then for that scene change the brightness/contrast or gamma settings for that scene and just repeat for each scene. You could also use keyframes to gradually change the gamma settings over time if the scene brightness changes gradually.
I don't believe there's a macOS version of Magix movie studio. Perhaps you could use it with QEMU or some other VM platform on a mac, but I don't know. Of course there's Adobe Premier that I think is cross platform, but it's a bit pricy. There may be some online video editor but again I'm not familiar with any off hand. I'm not currently using macs so I'm not familiar with tools for that platform. You might try googling for video editors for macos which might show some options.
You could try applying a noise gate or other filter to see if you can get rid of the crackle without distorting the music. Or, it could be DRM on the music? Don't know.
It "seems" like nothing major has happened in 8 years for the program. I have the Magix movie edit pro 2015, it does crach a lot because I often have a lot on display and I try to work out of its many short comings when it comes to add effcts. I liked it for the simple layout but with this version just seems to have lost its appeal. The fact that the chroma key has not improved for 8 years and you have to close down a advert everytime. I will pass on this one, but thank you for the video
Magix ruined the software. I'm sticking with Movie Studio 16 for as long as I can. This new stuff is just horrible. No wonder Magix don't show you what the interface looks like on their website. In fact, they show you nothing!

I've found that it will go slow sometimes or even crash after working for a long while. Save the project (backup) periodically just in case!

My 2022 verson doesnt upload to youtube nor does it support 4 or 8K so what's going on????
Not sure. Do you have enough RAM? You may want to contact their tech support.
mkv files is my issue that are downloaded in 4k wont play on magix

Don't let it go over zero decible... raise your sound quality to 48000 then check your speakers an sound card if not right
