I didn’t really care about tamlin but the way everyone villainized him made me pity him so i get (slightly) more mad at how feyre was so dumb. I hated being in her head, she was insufferable! And rhysand himself and everyone around him were so powerful for no reason??? Like??It was overly emphasised that rhysand could take any high lord in a battle B) yeah ok but why😭😭 he literally has the same status as them, it doesn’t make sense, god choses favourites among fairies now???😭😭😭😭😭 dont even get me started on “THE family”s and feyre’s powers... smj tired so hard to make THE characters badasses but they have the same traits as a 12 year old’s OCs
While reading I literally googled "how is Rhysand so powerful" and could never find a reason lol. Like how/why is he the most powerful High Lord ever?? Also, disliked how all the Archeron sisters became Fae & had powers, and was shipped into the Inner Circle. Why couldn't've Elain stayed human and had her innocent life to juxtapose Feyre's life? Don't even get me started on Elain and Lucien being mates--that was so forced and unnecessary imo.
The biggest tragedy of this whole series is that Lucien doesn’t have a personality. It changes every book. Also, the ‘that’s not good enough’ remix video is my favourite and I love your use of it 😄
I feel your suffering 😩😂. Hypocrisy is strong with this one. I hated being in her head in this book. Suddenly we hate spring and flowers. The black and white morality, the fake feminism, forgetting things from the previous book, the lack of communication, the double/triple amount of graphic sex... there are many things wrong 😁. I liked the concept of the Bone Carver. And the summer court seemed pretty, Tarkin was nice. Pitting Tamlin and Rhysand against each other, when they are both bad, felt weird. Damn, Rhysand is even worse since he just says sorry once, cries and shares his sob story, as if that made everything alright? Feyre grows to be a jerk, so I guess they are meant to be 😁. (A part of me is sorry for her, she is young and does not know any better...) I hate the "mate" thing, I thing it robs them of agency and development. There is no suspense anymore. Also all women in power are bad, I see, unless a man lets them have it. Amarantha and Ianthe vs Feyre, Mor and Amren 🤔. I still like Lucien but dislike SJM's treatment of him. I also like Nesta. She at least gives them a hard time and is not in awe of the perfect Rhysand. He is not even a good ruler. Despite how powerful he is hyped to be, the Hewn city is horrible and Illyrians are clipping the wings of their women...yet he lets it happen. And I will forever be mad that the Night court is not in a state of perpetual night. Velaris looks so human and normal it's boring(it's also really modern?), while the palace atop the mountain is from the Arabian nights? Also in book 1 Feyre talked with badass mercenary, her lands are ruled by Queens... yet she is somehow in awe that Rhysand has the second and third in command who are women. Pls what is this. I don't get it. It's there only to make him look good after Tamlin's "no High Ladies" speach, right? It's too on the nose, pleaseeee stop 😂.
I actually liked this book when I read it for the first time but booktube made me reconsider, your video shows me a completely different point of view, it's really interesting how people have so diferente opinions about this book. Also your videos are really entertaining :D and I love your tiktoks
To be honest I really disliked Feyres character. She was the most unsmiling, ungrateful person throughout. The way she was always thinking “what about me me me” gave me a headache. Rhys and had to be the most patient, kindest and gentlest person to keep up with her temper and attitude. I don’t know what to say the relationship was extremely unrealistic (yes I know this is a fantasy world) but who would put up with a hissing, snarling girl that gives “vulgar gestures” all the time. And the way she dropped Rhys on the freezing cold ground in the mud when he was injured and nearly died when SAVING HER, yet she storms off and hides away in a cabin and paints. Like what the f*ck. She was a narcissist through and through. Rhys deserved someone better. Feyre was the least favourite character and was so problematic I actually couldn’t stand being in her head. Thank you for the video that was an awesome review 😄
I didn't find the sex graphic, having read Kushiel's Dart. It was not quite enough plot to stand alone as a high fantasy book - the characters and plot were not well written. That said, I mean as a guilty pleasure and acknowledging the writing as mediocre- I was fine w it.
I listened to the recent book. I hated Rhysand from the start. The straw that broke the Camel's back is the constant bubble he had around her because she's pregnant. It irritated me when he told Freya that he won't let her do something. I'm done!!
Everytime SJM describes someone's breathing as "ragged" ... or the times between this book & the 1st where she can't keep details like hair or eye color straight.
I just finished this book and I liked the character arc for Feyre and the slow romance with Rhys. However, the politics plot was pretty boring. I think if you're reading this book for a plot, you're going to hate it. But if you're reading this book for characters, it's good
It maybe torture for you to have to read these but hey at least it’s entertaining for us. Nevertheless you have condolences because I have read these once upon a time and liked them but like...never again.
Hi! I haven’t seen you post anything relating to the black lives matter movement or supporting black authors or mentioning the lack of diversity in YA. I’ve seen you drag authors’ writing styles but you’ve never brought this very real issue up. I’m telling you as a black person who follows you that your silence is deafening. You have a platform and if you don’t use it to support the black community under the guise of “I want to keep my page clean/get brands to work with me”, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. I hope I’m wrong and you’ll send me some Tiktoks you’ve made addressing these issues.
Hi 😊 I'm actually working on a poem to do with the BLM movement, but it's not finished yet because I'm turning it into a short video, which is why I haven't posted it, but hopefully soon so keep an eye out 😊

He is one of my favourite characters in the books (especially ACOTAR) bc he’s actually helpful. I wish he could have more scenes tho
I feel your suffering 😩😂.

You are quickly becoming my favourite book related TH-camr

Oof you did Amren dirty when you listed the inner circle
I’m proud to say that I was here before this channel blows up 😊

HONESTLY. 8 Seconds in and I have no clue about what tf the book is but this review sounds awesome 👏 10/10

Only read half of it, but it sounds awful. Cause Rhysand always said it was her choice and now to take it from her. Seems horrible
Wow. Major spoilers. This is an analysis of the second book why would you post book 5 spoilers???
lol i can’t believe yall spoiled the future books for me I’ve just finished the second book!!
Everytime SJM describes someone's breathing as "ragged" ... or the times between this book & the 1st where she can't keep details like hair or eye color straight.
Yeah Riceman invented feminism 😒

Love the new video
Hey now. Let's not talk shit about Nesta. She's the only character in the story with as much contempt for the rest of the cast as I have.
I love your Tiktok and I'm so happy your on TH-cam!!!❤💜💛💚❤💜💛💜❤
@readwithcindy
I just came from your stream 😂
I loved the book
It's on of my favorite books, but I understand your points 😂❤️
It maybe torture for you to have to read these but hey at least it’s entertaining for us. Nevertheless you have condolences because I have read these once upon a time and liked them but like...never again.
Finally someone who thinks Rhys and Tamlin are just as bad as each other! Great video ❤️
At least you remember your tea!
I agree with your opinions but I think see went through enough and see did her best
Ok well I love the series BUT I totally agree the whole feyretamlin thing is weird like not fully developed to me and feyre is v hypocritical
iron maiden, chur.. lets be real this is a romance novel thats all...
Yes I’m the catseyes084
You clearly don’t like the series…why bother reading it
