I'm not inherently against weaves or relaxers...but I don't think a lot of black women actually see their hair's full potential (length, beauty, health, etc) until they have experienced just leaving their hair alone. The more we do to it and put on it, the more problems many of us have. When we just leave it alone with no excessive product or manipulation, we grow beautiful crowns. It's amazing!
Truth...this was exactly the case with me. Kept it clean, and left it alone and now I have a thick strong gorgeous mane of brown locs with natural sunkissed highlights 💛💛💛🌴 FACTS SIS! LET EM KNOW
That's the coolest part❤️ most of these women aren't wearing makeup (some are). But they are all beautiful naturally❤️❤️. It powerful to see how beautiful we are without manipulating our hair -- AT ALL!❤️❤️❤️❤️
+Mr 32! Music to my ears! Happy to have inspired you. These women are so beautiful, and watching them inspired me to freeform. NEVER TWIST AGAIN!!! LOL!
I’ve been loc’d 2 years and free form for 11 months... I’m here because I’m contemplating on twisting my hair. See this reminds me why I decided to not twist again. Thank U!!
You're absolutely right! They DO keep us inspired and they change our flawed programming. That's exactly why I do them, so our kids and our people have positive and healthy images of all kinds of naturally beautiful people. I cannot wait to see your show!
I think it's amazing how our locs will keep growing none stop and the other nations hair grows but stop at certain length still long but just don't grow like locs
This video is truly an eye opener for me I just got into the braiding style but after seeing this.I'm not done with the perms, this is the ice breaker for me hands down drop the mic!
Thank you so much for your kind words🙏🏿 The song can be found in www.soundcloud.com/k_willa the song is called, "Give it Time"...I will be enrolling in all streaming platforms soon. Until then, the song can be found there🙏🏿✊🏾✊🏿✊🏾🙏🏿
+Lorenzo migo you are right--She was tagged as a freeform model on Pinterest. But your right they are just thick. I don't always get it right, its hard to tell whether the model is really freeforming or not depending on the texture. I always try to feature models who are freeforming or at least semi freeforming.
This woman has just as many rights to wear her natural hair as you do. That comment was mean and ugly and fully negative and unnecessary. Like it or not, she is you--and you her. All one.
+K Willa yes she does have "as many rights" as me to wear her hair natural, but her hair doesn't loc naturally without some help i reckon. but in my opinion i don't think locs look good on her nor any other caucasian woman or man for that matter. and you can call my comment mean, hateful or anything else you want to chop it up to. not everyone is gonna have the same opinion. and screw that we are all one bs. that' s your philosophy, not mine.
I know her personally, and she is one of the admins in our "freeform" locs group. She has done nothing to loc her hair but it did take much longer to loc. Straight textures take longer. Oriental Indian and Latino people also freeform. Anyone can. Science tells us that we are biologically one. Race is a creation of man that effects our lives but doesn't make us biologically different in any significant way. Skin color and hair texture are a function of climate. All one isn't a philosophy, it is science. Sorry, but this woman did nothing to you, and that makes you hateful.
Also I notice that you didn't have shit to say about the white woman at 3:08--she is Italian. White but with kinky hair--does she get a pass from you--since you decided who should have locs and who shouldn't??? Hmmm??
+K Willa wow i said ":44 no" and your mind started running out of control about her race and having locs and what my comment may have implied. maybe i just didn't like her hair color. maybe YOU ARE THE ONE that's bad minded. that's on you. lol.
Thank you for posting this. I parted ways with my first set of locs because they were manicured and seeing so many beautiful people with freeform has really helped. Although I started my hair with two strand twist This time, don't retwist or anything so idk what type I have really lol. All I know is someone offered to " fix" my hair lol and this video has inspired me to look past that abs continue my journey.
I am hoping the free form movement will catch some steam and keep moving forward, I have been free form for 14 yrs
Wow!!! Amazing❤️ you inspire!
