Fragile X and POI - What do I need to know? Webinar 4 April 2022

This webinar focussed on Fragile X-associated Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (FXPOI) and early menopause. Dr Amanda Vincent MD discussed health considerations and symptom management for women who are Fragile X premutation carriers and have symptoms of FXPOI or early menopause.
Dr Vincent also discussed the risk factors for a Fragile X premutation carrier developing FXPOI. She also touched on fertility management considerations for young women who may be at risk of fertility issues related to the Fragile X premutation.
Dr Amanda Vincent is a Consultant Endocrinologist with the Department of Endocrinology, Monash Health, Clayton, working in the Menopause Clinic, Osteoporosis clinic and the Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism Unit. She also works as an Endocrinologist at The Women’s Specialist Menopause Clinic, Melbourne. She is a former President of the Australasian Menopause Society.
