He's a living legend just like tony n the 90s pro skaters
Every time I see Rodney Mullen he seems like a genuinely humble guy that's forever fascinated at what's possible on a skateboard.
He's wearing Osiris D3s haven't seen those shoes in decades, my sister had a pair and I was super jealous. It may not look like much compared to some of the jordans that exist now but when it came out in 01 it was all the rage especially the white with red trim
They still make them
He's not, they're his Globe pro shoes, he never wore Osiris.
D3's were the shit back in those days, everybody was wearing them and most of em didn't even skate lol
Modern shoes look like shit nowadays holy fuck. The only consistent ones I've seen are the general "skater shoes"
Andrew D'Amore those Osiris shoes in 1999 -2000 were a huge trend on non skaters / posers ...your right
amazing watching this guy. everything he does is so fluid and looks so easy. happiest man alive and should be an inspiration to anyone.
As per Tom DeLonge, "everybody else was skateboarding, Rodney was doing math... We didn't even call what Rodney was skateboarding"
Mullen is the skateboard Sage.
To have the look of joy on your face while describing and demonstrating some of the most difficult tricks skating.
The legend
He is the reason me and my younger brother started skating back in 2003- 2005 we werent good and got hurt a lot but had fun...thinking we could pull those tricks. Rodney Mullen will always be the greatest to me
Visual representation of “in the zone”
nope just him having fun and messing around
The most humble legend
His dad almost called it quits. The best on our planet was being held back. Good fathers go to competitions with their talented kids. But his dad made it very hard by warning that It’s done after one fall. Great incentive.
Doug Last that's ok, Rodney just decided to never fall 😂
milkybarkidd Lol then thanks for not falling Rodney, the world is a better place with you in it. But then again maybe he would have been amazing at a higher paying sport like a baseball pitcher. Either way he would’ve been successful at anything he wanted.
Doug Last we had Nolan Ryan for pitching didn't need Mullen for that.
Imagine if we would of had flying cars or a sure cure for cancer had Mullen gone into the sciences like his father planned
Kaleb Prichard Football is fucked people put their young children in it to start taking those head hits from an early age and there has been a study showing that literally 99 percent of the people who have ever played for any amount of time at any level have brain damage and that one messed up condition they all have I can't remember what its called but it's pretty much dementia.
Kaleb Prichard End football and soccer.
Man, I can watch Rodney skate all day! Always warms the heart !
This is like when you play with your action figures as a kid and you flip them in all wierd directions .... Except he's doing it and he's a human being lol
If you listen closely you can hear Rodney making sound effects with his mouth
He was such a humble guy never seems to be stressed or weighed down by life
Rodney Mullen was like the Picasso of skateboarding!
hes so charismatic on that board, i could watch him flow for hours. that guy was born to be on a skateboard
“You know what would be fun...”
*does something amazing*
yeah, a casper to primo
Just a handstand fingerflip to primo, no biggie
Dude is unbelievable...an absolute legend. He makes it look effortless...amazing
I cut my hand and got a busted ankle just from watching this and trying to comprehend what i was seeing.
This man is a pure legend! He inspired me to skate and was the reason I progressed so much thank you Rodney!
Should've called the game Rodney Mullens Pro Skater
Anybody accept it ...but ....yeah!
It could be a cool spin off. If not a good story mode of inventing iconic tricks
They're both awesome skaters who have given so much to the skateboarding community so I don't really think it should be taken from Tony Hawk. That being said, I would like to see Rodney maybe be like a main character or something. He is an absolute beast who deserves plenty of recognition.
Should've called it Full Retard Skateboarding
@@aakkoin yes, aren't you the genius.
I’m definitely gonna watch this over and over to learn how he does all of this and do it myself
This is seriously reminding me of why I started skating in the first place. The way it moves is just like magic. Next thing I know I broke my my toe tryna land a 7 stairs kickflip. Walking on a cane for nearly 3 months is definitely not cool. Ouch.
Who the fuck walks with a cane after a broken toe, especially for that long lmfao you sound like a paper soft bitch
I have in 15 years never saw Rodney Mullen ever bail on a trick . I’ve never really even imagined that thought lol. I guess I’ve been conditioned like many others with all the flawless videos .
Insane! Thanks for sharing!
Its amazing how fluidly rodney mullen went from freestyle to street and still kept his style
tonyhawks 2,3,4, ug, ug2 used mullen's animation (street tricks)
Even though I know how incredible he is I'm still in awe every time I see him perform these impressive tricks. Such a modest and Nobel person too
Rodney is in love with living.
Even when he is trying and maybe not landing it, I dont want the video to end man i could watch him like this all day.
Video starts: So we land a primo...
Me: Sounds easy enough.
Video final: One hand-handstand to handflip to primo.
Me: Yeah, now you're just showing off.
Rodney Mullen was always a father figure for me in skating . I could see his character in his movement and his humbleness in it all . I have never been so connected and disconnected from something in my life . #RodneyMullen
genius
I'm playing THPS4 right now and Rodney was always my guy. He's a legend. Cheers bro 🥂
