I've heard people complain that Applejack is too callous in this episode. My take is that she was too focused on doing exactly what Rarity asked and her approach is how she'd talk to Applebloom. She got worse as things got more confusing (for AJ) and less practical.
I hate Applejack as much as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Especially because the show always portrays her as a hero whenever something threatens her stupid family business. There should’ve been a episode where someone told her to can it!

I liked this episode, it's just that Applejack was a bit too much; especially when she ruined the mare's hat with the feathers on them. Feel free to call fashion ridiculous (Because it can be ridiculous at times) but don't ruin someone's hard work like that, that part made me really angry at Applejack for that. But, I did like that she learned her lesson, and Rarity shredding on the guitar is just amazing to see. The fact that it wasn't fan made was also awesome. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
It took me a couple of re-watches to really like this episode(much like "Saddle Row Review" from S6). Yes, Applejack made some mistakes here but, she learned a good lesson on being careful not to upset others with her honest opinions. Out of all the designers, I found Lilly Lace the most enjoyable. Inky Rose is my second fave. And you're right about her name being close to Ink Rose, there's also Pinky Rose too. Let's not forget that Rarity played that guitar like a boss!😆
I want to see that goth pony in the future. How about an episode where the cutie mark crusaders buy gothic clotes from her and go to school dressed as goths? Imagine the look on Cheerilee, the other students and the main 6 faces. And how would Diamond Tiara look as a goth? I bet Spoiled Rich would really freak out. Also in my previous comment I mentioned the Shadowbolts. Think of it this way: Long ago before Twilight mooved to Ponyville there was a Wonderbolt member who got kicked out for performing a dangerous stunt and injuring several audience members. That Wonderbolt was Nightshade, and after she got fired she decided to make her own group of flyers called the Shadowbolts. So she gathered some pegasuses: Starry Skies, a member of the Cloudsdale aristocracy; Stratus, a former member of The Royal Pegasi Guard; Blueball Blitz, a worker of Cloudsdale's storm factory; and Charger, a former leader of one of the Manehattan pegasi gangs. Together they have built a hideout in the Everfree forest, which Nightmare Moon discovered and impersonated them. After that nobody has heard of them over the seasons. In season 2 "Luna eclipsed" Nightshade secretly took a photo of Rainbow Dash in her Nightmare Night costume. And after Lightning Dust and Wind Rider got kicked out of the Wonderbolts, Nightshade decided to look around Cloudsdale. There she met them and offered them to join the Shadowbolts. They accepted the offer. I hope we will see Lightning Dust and Wind Rider as Shadowbolts in the future seasons.

Some people just didn't understand any of what applejack did in this episode. I felt like it made sense given the role Rarity gave her.

People didn't like it because it feels like a season 2 episode, most of the fans are here for those damn good episodes like the 10th of season 7, kids love it, adults love it, so it's perfect.

I personally haven't seen a royal problem yet (though I do know what it's about and I'm HYPED!!) so I say my number one was Rock Solid Friendship. It was a pretty Rock Solid episode and I feel like everything Pinkie did in that really didn't matter because she learned her lesson (UNLIKE in Filli Vanilli) Fluttershy leans in though? 10? I am biased as Fluttershy is my favorite pony but come one. That one really showed how far Fluttershy has come since season one. The lesson made no sense, but the development was amazing.

What I don't get here is I thought in my opinion applejack knew some fashion sense. When she dressed up as applejewel she was stunning beautifully dressed. How come she cannot relate on such fashion now?
