You don’t need a complicated macro to delete excess shards. Get the warlock addon Necrosis. It allows you to choose how many shards you want to keep, and will delete excess shards for you. That’s on top of all the other warlock stuff it does for you.
Complicated? I managed to find a complicated macro that I simply copy pasted. No macro addon required. No soul bag required. You can set how many shards should remain Oh and the best is, no addon required

Much less downtime, able to pull more, thus killing fast(much faster nuke downs as well). Items in Classic make Felguard spec even better, but even without them, Demo build is better.

I was literally thinking about this last night and looking at the lock tbc calculator and trying to figure out best gear for leveling! I think I’m gonna be using my felguard with full t3 and the black book trinket to empower it, I don’t think kill time should be an issue with the gear I have.
Meta, I know you know what your doing, but will you try DS/SM, i found it better to use to handle multiple mobs at once. With DS you sac your void walker for the healing, then pull! I like the dark pact idea! And if on pvp, it’s def better to run pet, but what I’ve done when getting in a fight, fel dom my succubus, then sac for 25% increased dmg. Amplify curse of agony, and finish your dots, and you use drain life as your main filler. This procs nightfalls like crazy!
Bro no need to reinvent the wheel... Go 43 points in demo (grab fel guard and 3/3 mana feed) and 5/5 corruption in afflict at 57...feel free to spend else where after till 70, respec raid/pvp at 70. Enjoy your easy leveling experience.

Hey @MetaGoblin, Love your content and subbed to you and all that, but I'm gonna have to say that FELGUARD for leveling is gonna be far superior than the talent tree and pet combination you have in your Video Guide here. I've seen the power firsthand of the Felguard in open world and at least right now, right before Pre-Patch and TBCC launch gonna say that's the best route.
Curious if anyone has tried skipping hellfire to avoid the absolute shit show that Classic TBC launch will be, and do hellfire later. Are there a lot of quest lines from hellfire that lead into Zanger/Terokkar or can you walk into those zones having skipped Hellfire and be alright?
I did this back in vanilla going into TBC and just skipped straight to Zanger with all my Naxx gear and it was easy. I was either planning on running a dungeon group to level or doing this again. No way will I be in Hellfire to start.
Will lock be overplayed? Resulting in hard to obtain raid spots? Classic right now guilds/raiding dieing for locks. Will TBC be over amount of locks, resulting in being passed up on in the lfg or lf guild channel?
IMHO Demo leveling is much better. It's safer and the Felguard is an absolute beast. If you have The Black Book, he can solo elite mobs. The other big benefit is that the Demo build let's you quest and dungeon efficiently without respecing. Demo can easily top the charts in dungeons much more than a Drain Tank. Not to mention that your Felguard can take a lot of heat off your tank and healer.
I think with good enough gear, it is better just sacrifice your VW for liferegeneration and go without pet. It is specially easy with fel armor. I farm that way always in classic, even without fel armor. it is a lot easier in TBC with fel armor. it is 100% nonstop. SL/DS build... and then just climb affli tree for more power... If you feel like you have too much mana/life, sacrifice succubus.

Don't agree with your drain tanking spec, it's much better to go UA and use the fellhunter for spell lock and sometimes devour magic, at the cost of very little loss vs the succubus.
You can go demo after 31 talent points on affi? Or maybe 41? And siphon life problem is not agrro but wasted mana . 250mana for 250hp after 30sec fight. On 60+ lvl Oom after 3mobs on siphon, fear playstyle

100% this is nonsense. Imagine being resisted constantly pre lvl 70 and missing out on other stats due to hit cap items just because you ignored suppression. I have played lock for years and this 'infinite mana' simply isnt worth it.
Always dungeon level. Quests worth more gild at 70. Will have good rep, decent gear, and mount money when you ding 70. At 68 go to Kara start that chain.
This spec is completely unplayable as a boosted lock with the crappy communal gear you get. I'm guessing this vid is aimed at people in full naxx. I've respected to demo and now am actually able to make progress in outlands. Quickly replaced all the communal gear now am able to chain pull with no down time.
So after killing 2 pulls of 2 mobs I need to Health Funnel my Suc or it will die on 3rd set. Trying this on Endless @ lvl 64 vs lvl 64 monsters in Nagrand. Doesn't seem too great...
So maybe someone can explain to me what I might be doing wrong. I'm attempting to do this succubus leveling, but with a single lash of pain with my agony and corruption dots pull aggro, a bit fast from the succubus. Am I just doing it wrong? It seems like the mob only off of me for like half it's health pool then it's wailing on me the rest of the time.
You're not doing anything wrong. Succubus can't keep threat, I don't know why he mentioned that lash of pain would generate enough aggro. Maybe because in the video he plays with T3 set. T3 set bonus reduces threat generated by corruption, immolate, curse of agony and siphon life. Anyway: I strongly believe this build is not any faster than fel guard leveling. And it definitely is not faster than dungeon grinding, which you should chose another build for anyway.
13:23 "Haste don't affect your DoTs" - wait what? Haste rating lowers your GCD and boosts your DPS a lot and is next to SP and HIT the best stat you can get as an Affli-Lock.
I know this video is a little old but these are the lvl 60 builds I was thinking about. tbc.wowhead.com/talent-calc/warlock/3500220502131105512-205003003 which has instant Howl of Terror but 30% Demonic Aegis at lvl 63 instead of lvl 62(when you get Fel Armor) Or tbc.wowhead.com/talent-calc/warlock/350022050213110551-2050030131 which doesn't have instant Howl of Terror but the 30% Demonic Aegis at lvl 62 and Fel Domination.
Used this build for all of 20 minutes. Probably died 10 times. You may have lots of mana but even pulling 1 mob is tough. Going back to felguard as he actually lets you kill things.
This is really bad advice. Drain tanking will leave you with a lot of downtime and is not really any more effective than felguard in terms of multiple mobs.
Has anyone tried this build? Looks fun. I am duo-leveling with a priest.. so I might choose a few different talents... and no succubus because my leveling buddy is my wife so I am already commanding enough hoes out there 😂
I kinda forgot how boring early wow was. I feel wotlk struck that balance between casual play and sweat play. I hope Blizz releases a wotlk classic and stops there.

I think the point is for you to be agroing the mob and just adding the succu dps while you drain tank.
