    How was your experience working at the NIH? Did you gain any skills or knowledge that helped you in grad school?

      besides research skills (that I probably won't ever need again) and getting better at reading scientific papers, not really lol. but the experience was still worthwhile

    would you say the same thing if I have 3.2 overall and 3.1 science? I am just cutting over the cutline but I haven't been told that I would need to do post bacc but I wanted to hear ur opinion thank you

      Hey! Really sorry for the late response.
      At the end of the day, it depends on what the rest of your application looks like. I can't tell you because it depends on each person and I'm no admissions officer. Is it possible to get into dental school with those stats? Absolutely, I know people who have. However, other things like a strong DAT score, extracurriculars, etc. could have helped as well.

    Thank you for the information. Is there a GPA requirement for G Squared?

      You're welcome. When I applied, it was 3.0 but they made exceptions. I didn't have 3.0 but I still got in. I'd suggest checking out whatever it says on their website now

    where did you go for your post bacc? I'm a premed student at College Park as well and I'm considering a post-bacc. I see that UMD college park offers a bost bacc, would you recommend that?

    What post bacc programs do you recommend?

      Nice to see you in the comments bro. Hope you're doing well. I would recommend ones that have good reputations with getting students into dental school. Definitely ask around, but a few I know of are G Squared (where I did mine), MHS at Meharry, OHS at BU, Barry MS Program, and Mississippi College.

      @susej3545 idk. It doesn't really make sense to be doing both at the same time

    Hey Eli, thanks for the video. I have a 3.7 GPA former med student looking into applying to Dental school instead now this year. I haven't taken the DAT and don't have specific dental experiences. Do you suggest I do a postbacc or should I just study the DAT and work on dental experiences?

    • @StudentDoctorEli
      @StudentDoctorEli  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Don't need dental experience. Just study for & take the DAT, and do some shadowing in a dental office. You have plenty of time to do that and apply this year. A postbacc would be a waste of money for you

      @@StudentDoctorEli Also I realized in my original comment, I meant former premed not former medstudent lol
