At the time I watched this I was already considering one and I was trying to be cautiously optimistic. It arrived today and I am absolutely amazed. The intonation is spot on, the tuners are solid and the guitar is gorgeous. I play a Taylor 614CE every day and have for years, so I was ready for a let down with the Bromo. No, it's not a Taylor, it is different but, the sound, playability and finish are out of this world. For a low end guitar like this to show up and out of the box play like a dream without a setup is hard to believe and I love it! Thank you for the awesome demo!
That was a great video and product demonstration. In terms of showcasing a low budget instrument you really went the extra mile (if not more). I am impressed by the guitar as well as your musicianship. Kudos, good Sir, and keep up the good work.
I'm a sucker for satin finishes. That mahogany is gorgeous, and the volcano peak logo and inlays are cool. Definitely looks like a great value for $270. I really like that "open end" cutaway too. Nice noodling, Lester, and even better original song!
That is a gorgous acustic guitar, in terms of sound as well as looks. That vulcano peak headstock is a nice detail. Awesome playing as usual, the noodling and the original Song. Greetings from Lotasticland
Nice work my friend and cool budget guitar that sounds great not what I would have expects from a low cost guitar it’s worthy of backing up my more expensive Taylor
I looked at their site, they have some awesome guitars! and also a wooden guitar stand that is built like a tank. I have to get me one of their high end models with no plastic. I loved the sound you got out of that instrument, it was a well balanced tone.
Nice song of yours Lester. The guitar is indeed a beautiful instrument. But seems a bit weak in the base, to my ear. The mid and trebble range seems to be best feature. That's obviously just my personal viewpoint. Nice guitar and some sweet playing
Just ordered one today but with spruce top. It’s the only one I could find in lefty.. But now hearing that tone I kinda wish I looked harder for the mahogany top.
legend, thanks for that demo! just out of curiosity, not sure if my ears are deceiving me but is there a small bit of clipping while you're noodling? if i'm not mistaken in what i'm hearing, is that the guitar or processing applied to the signal? looking for a new acoustic and this does look like a very good option, not sure if the recording was just a bit hot perhaps?
@@kryptik2003 Thanks my friend! Also, yeah there was a little clipping. Definitely more because of me and my setup rather than the guitar. The guitar is pretty awesome 👍
Hello, I'm from the Philippines and right now I am torn in between choosing a Phoebus PG20 NCE guitar and a Bromo BAT2M Tahoma. What would you recommend between these two? I love to try then with my hands, but my current situation only allows me to buy online
Hey my friend! Thank you for reaching out to me! That's a tough situation. I haven't played on the Phoebus but I can tell you that the BAT2 model is very nice. My only gripe was the strings it came with were very thick. But the guitar itself is very smooth and comfortable.
@@_ali_ozan_ Hey my friend! So far my favorite Bromo is the BAT 4 in this video. All the guitars I've had play great but I personally love the look and sound of the mahogany.
Hey my friend! Thanks for watching. You should be able to order through this link. However, if that doesn't work you might be in a country they don't ship to. www.rondomusic.com/cgi-rondomusic/sb/order.cgi?rd=1&storeid=*0c1421a8d614cc26&sbid=SSMSB6750338231603352688.10962&redirect=yes
Sounds good. Do you have by chance any experience with the Bromo BAR5CE? That guitar also has solid wood on the sides and back and seems really affordable for what it has to offer. Sounds like it might be too good to be true?
Hey my friend! Unfortunately I haven't tried that model yet. I'll say I've had no issues with the other models so far. The BAT 4 is definitely the best I've played by far. But I imagine the 5th would be better.
@@LesterMitchell Thanks for the fast reply. I don't know how to play yet and am looking for a decent beginners guitar that doesn't break the bank and can also still serve when I'm a bit more advanced. This brand seems to offer some interesting options on that matter.
@@CreateTimeToListen Oh I see. Yeah this is a good starting brand. There are a lot of good starting options out there which is amazing. Fesley also makes some nice starting acoustics. If you go to a music store make sure to avoid local music shops. They'll have guitars priced triple market value. Guitar center is okay. If buying from someone online make sure it has strings. Some people try to sell guitars without the strings to avoid showing issues with the neck etc Good luck in your journey 👋
Say Lester were you using any effects on your original song? The song sounded fantastic.I bought the BAT1 what do you personally think of it? At the price point of the BAT1 they can't possibly mean the top is Sitka Spruce they mean Sitka Spruce laminate right? I'm talking about the one that's 179.00 US. Thanks for your time. I really enjoy your playing.
@@07LUTE70 Hey there my friend! Thanks a bunch for enjoying the content 👋 I used a small amount of reverb. Also, the BAT1 seems like genuine Sitka. Though I'm not 100% certain. It might be worth reaching out to the company through the email on their site. They usually respond!
I bought one of these very guitars, and at the best, the quality must be ver uneven. The ebony lams on the neck were very visibly off center.Like half an inch. The neck was terribly cone, and badly fretted. In fact, almost impossible to fix with a new fret job. I wish I had just bought a stick of firewood. It would have, at least, taken the chill off in this frosty winter. In short, be prepared to send it back as soon as possible. I wish I had. It sucks.
@@LesterMitchell Me too. I was hoping for the best. I have a couple of Eastman Jumbos, and a really nice Bedell, and I just don't want to over play them, and they stay in the cases. I just wanted a cheaper guitar that wasn't worth quite so much. I like the way it looks, and some of the cool ideas, like the way the braces are cut. But it has just been really frustrating. Can't win them all. Cool video though.
i do wish these people reviewing guitars would mention whether the guitar has a solid back and sides. Just saying mahogany back and sides could also mean mahogany laminates. I guess for this low price budget guitar the back and sides is laminated.
Hey dude! I'm just going off the website specs. It says solid top mahogany and for the sides/back it says just mahogany. I don't see any mention of laminate. You're welcome to shoot them an email though on their website for more details. Cheers 👋
