The guy gets hauled down to the processing room and is usually held in a cell there until someone comes to the stadium to get them. Then you have to file a bunch of incident reports about it, NFL security guys usually get involved with the process, and that can hurt your rep as a stadium depending on how bad the incident is. So in short, yes, we love to annihilate the idiots that run into the field, but all the shit that happens after the fact sucks

They started arguing and fighting for a few seconds. About 5 minutes later, the one who tripped through his empty bottle at that guy and his wife went down to get security. When she got there, they refused to go. So she brought the two toughest guards in the whole stadium and that scared them. So they went with them and one of them ran onto the field.
Charles Hinkel, I know right. It was my first NFL game, and my first time in any sport seeing a fan on the field. My Broncos got blown out and missed the playoffs that Christmas Day, but it was a great experience.
