    Great video, love the narration - especially when you make a mistake and correction. Good pace and appreciate your building experience. This felt like a real build. Thanks for sharing your insights and techniques.

    Is there a way to get sketchup models for older versions of sketchup?

    How do you remove elements with the push/pull tool? I can't find a way.

      It's usually better to select and delete objects than to 'remove (them) with the push pull tool'. You can push a 3D object until it's flat but it will usually leave a flat plane behind that you then have to select and delete... hope that helps? Best, Matt

    Thank you for the tutorial. How you manage to pan/rotate so smoothly?

      With this joystick mouse: www.amazon.com/dp/B006GPZ17K/?tag=aiponsite-20&linkCode=ic5&ascsubtag=amzn1.idea.PVBI9FMNBWEW&creativeASIN=B006GPZ17K&cv_ct_id=amzn1.idea.PVBI9FMNBWEW&cv_ct_pg=storefront&cv_ct_wn=aip-storefront&ref=exp_cov_nextlevelcarpentry_lv_dp_vv_d you'll be able to pan, rotate and move like that too! I don't ever model without it Murat... hope you like it! Best, Matt

    how do you zoom in and out and orbit easily? is that an app?

      Not an app. All done with the mouse. It’s using the scroll wheel on the mouse. It zooms in and out from the place where the mouse is. By zooming out from say left of object and in from right you’re effectively moving to the right. Pressing the scroll wheel allows you to rotate view and if you also hold down left button you pan.

    Why do you have to speak into my left ear only

    • @NextLevelCarpentry
      @NextLevelCarpentry 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't... but you need to adjust the balance on your computer...

      Next Level Carpentry I was using earphones and idk I kinda like the way it is. It’s like you’re right next to me teaching me how to be a pro like you.

      Oh, OK... normally that comment is a gripe.... I guess there's something I don't 'do right' with my audio/mic setup when recording screen capture video but it only seems to affect SOME people negatively. Some are able to adjust their speaker/headphone balance, to others its an unbearable distraction. Wish I had a sound engineer but am glad it adds a 'personal touch' to the tutorial for you. Best, Matt

      It's not the balance on our computers, currently watching this with $350 headphones and more familiar than I care to be with my audio settings on this workstation. Most likely you just have the right channel turned off/deselected in your capturing software. Might be as simple as clicking a "R" near the audio track or complicatedly buried in settings somewhere. Either way it's not that big of a deal, not currently bothering me. Cheers.

      Glad to know this is not currently bothering you LeagueForMe... I'd love to have someone with your knowledge around next time I'm recording video to get all the settings optimized. The solution for this sort of thing is often so simple it's embarrassing yet so obscure as to be maddening! Best, Matt
