In my opinion, the manager deserved some time in jail as well. He is an accomplice of a crime by knowingly letting it happen..
Too hard to prove legally since his actions were so much more PASSIVE but I hated him just as much. He was a sniveling weasel ass kisser with no spine but to his credit I do NOT think that he was actually a sex offender himself, I think he just was a total wimp who had no ability to stand up to authority that outranked him. He himself would never try to grope one of the waitresses. He was just someone who would do anything for his next paycheck.

True - Each person has the right to feel safe in a workplace period. A relative of mine owns a restaurant and been in business for 50 years - if his managers or any staff member treated anyone in this manner they'd be terminated immediately. I'm sure that the authorities would be called as well.

Sexually harassing employees when you own a business like that is DUMB for THIS REASON TOO. If the public even SUSPECTS (they don't even need proof) that you are treating your workers that way the negative PR (public relations) would be HUGE and people would start boycotting your establishment. I live walking distance from a restaurant I used to enjoy but it closed down because the bosses were treating the waitresses horribly and sexually harassing them and first it was the friends of the waitresses that found out and they did not want to spend their money at a place that treated the workers like that then THEIR friends got word and a big portion of them stopped going in and pretty soon they lost so many of their customers that they could not stay open.

No it's not true customers usually don't care what employees go through ...they just visit to fulfill their needs .And if they like it they are gonna come again irrespective of what's happening inside an organisation.

That restaurant owner was played by my favorite actor -- he literally owns every role that he plays. He can be so sweet, or just plain nasty and you hate him. Yup, a really good actor!
I spent about 30 dollars at a restaurant a few days ago and left a 10 dollar tip. I was very happy with my experience there because the waitress was a very nice and friendly lady and I got very good service and left feeling good. Had she been stressed and agitated because a boss guy was trying to grope her she might have been as friendly as she could manage but my experience would not have been AS GOOD and I would be less likely to want to go back. That reduced probability over time with a large number of customers like evolution and the probability of passing on genes can cause a restaurant to make A LOT less money than it would have otherwise.

I know the young manager ( the boss of waitresses ) was not as good but they could have got him a job at the women's shelter so he could get educated on how difficult it is for female victims of male harrassment/domestic violence. Maybe he would be be more of a gentleman if he worked in a place like this. I almost felt sorry for him in the end. I'm glad they arrested the boss of the restaurant. He played that role so well I almost didn't like him. That's when you know their great actor's.
