That was exactly what they said they where gonna do, Netflix said they where gonna use the base of the show and then make it better which they did. They made it better for people who aren’t 8. It’s in the world with some of the characters but they have completely different personality’s. If the name didn’t have winx in it there wouldn’t even be hate for the show beside the clothes obvi
I know! Maybe if they had kept the story the same, and not make up this completely different one with (some of) the Winx club characters it might not have been so bad.
This show had the potential to be a trend setter, each girl had their own distinct personalities and aesthetics that they could have played with. Plus the nostalgia for winx is very high right now. The plot could have been meh but if the fashion was good, you know people would watch just so they can cosplay characters for Halloween
for real im pretty sure if it was done right there couldve been a whole trend on the social medias about it with fashionistas and trendsetters doing a winx fashion show/ inspirations outfits or if you are a student in winx universe. oppurtunity wasted so much
I don't understand how the fans could write/style/cast better than people who are actually paid to do this. Like, wtf are these production studios paying for?
Simple: the fans care about the show, the studio doesn’t. I get that they wanted a simple cash grab and all, but just a little bit of effort would have been nice.
After seeing Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa being put as showrunner in a lot of really hyped and anticipated shows despite his whole storytelling always sounding hella lazy and rushed, I've come to the conclusion it's what moves any other corporation in the world: network. Cuz why else would you hand a potential cash cow to a person who'll ruin it because they have neither respect for the source material nor for the already established fanbase?
Honestly, whenever people make a reboot or something they should bring in like 3 fans to ask for their oppinion about it, before they actually make the show
@@user-mh7db7ei1s Exactly my thoughts. Remakes and reboots are there to make money without effort because the nostalgia will sell, and so they don't care about the source material (if they ever saw it...). The fans however know about it, so they know how to modernize it if it is needed, in a way that respects the characters, universe, story, etc.
I actually don’t really understand why ppl are so mad about clothes or something haha. Its already happening so its not changing so why be all mad ab it.
@@matildaclp970 yes she's the one that dress all the character. How can you hire someone that dress housewives or old people. It just doesn't make any sense.
When styling teenagers in shows and movies they should bring in actual teenager's opinions. From just average teenager, to fashionista teenager, to actual "looking for a fashion designer career" teenager. I always wondered why shows and movies didn't do that.
Yeah. I'm a fashion design major, and we're expected to do lots of research on our target demographic and inspiration before doing a school project, let alone a real job. You'd think an experienced costume designer would know that to figure out the teen demographic, you should read teen fashion magazines/blogs, ask teens what fashion they like and why, scroll through teens' social media to see what kind of outfits they wear, observe teens in public to see what they wear, look into what brands and celebrities are popular with teens right now and figure out why, etc.
no teenager uses any of the clothing that this vid has, this type of fashion is really just American influencer, its just unrealistic I think Netflix did a average jobs on the outfits, even tho its giving mayor 2016 its more realistic than "American y2k"
this whole fate the winx saga was such a wasted opportunity, not only plot wise, but fashion wise as well. baffles my mind how they didn’t put ANY effort into the clothing when the original show was so fashion forward for its-time.
Not to mention y2k fashion is sooo in style at the moment!! They could've easily had the show popularized all over social media and hyped with just the slightest bit of effort into the outfits. Even if they just emulated outfits in the original show.
Bonus excuse for the expensive stuff: Pretty sure at least 3 of them are literal royalty. ESPECIALLY Stella. She'd totally splurge. They all love fashion too. This show is why I started loving it.
yh, I can't imagine bloom splurging but i remember in season 1 she couldnt afford dresses from stores the other winx brought from and she had to go find a sale an essentially thrift then alter it to make it look cuter. it would've been so cool if the show like mina mentioned, gave her thrifted clothes or even if its expensive, show her thrifting it
I hate how in the end, the show was just less girly. All the winx club girls looked tomboy-ish and dark, and netflix thought it was a good idea to make them society's idea of "masculine". One of the things I loved about the og Winx club was that it was girly, but also so meaningful and fun. It wasn't like modern-day media where femininity is villainized- it displayed strong girls who could fight but also indulge in fashion and things that are "girly". Netflix, however, just kind of ruined that, turning them into not like other girls girls who fight for male approval. It all comes back down to men, doesn't it :/
Yes! They were fighting some real fucked up villains and going through some really intense emotional and physical adventures, but were also super invested in shopping and being normal teens, with romantic relationships in the middle and all the usual school stuff.
Even if they believe modern day feminists do not like traditionally "girly things" like fashion or shopping (which is obviously not true and definitely not a universal trait at all), I don't understand why they think we still wouldn't understand that there are girls with interests other than our own AND find their stories relatable and aspirational?! I was a tomboy growing up but that did not stop me from loving winx club. I looked up to Musa and Stella (all of them to be honest) even if their personal style and interests was wildly different from my own. To me the show was proof of how multifaceted we all are, and we don't have to let just one of our traits/interests define our entire personality.
I agree with the fact that it seems less girly but it is also more mature and dark so they would have to completely change the way they go about the plot. I do find Stella’s wardrobe very feminine though, and there is an emphasis on their female friendship with them actually saying things like sorry and “we are codependent” in a show for teens like wow. That said I don’t know if target audience is completely teens. They also do talk about boys with Musa and Terra’s interests. There’s some contention with Bloom and Stella. Finally I agree with your assessment about it’s focused on their fight but I also felt like instead of just focusing on physicality it showed the struggles we may have as women between relationships and conflicting morals that are still relatable. I personally enjoy the show but I like fantasy/ magic/ supernatural vibe. My only dissapointment is how they did the headmaster she was an amazing characters - I thought she was very motherly and I was saddened by her line admitting she had to put up a tough front.
The funny thing as well is the best styled character was Beatrix(who was supposed to be one of the Trix?). Sure it is dark but still. She gives rather witch vibes(which Trix are). They didn't even have witches. I am just saying that they could have used Bea's outfits and add more color. It would have been better. She even is my fave in the series.
riight even with the story and the super forced cringy relationship drama - like they can't just have fun without that (like they did in the animation, the boys were a very background topic) 😭
@@lrose1310 yeah, the costume design for Riverdale on the firsts seasons (I don't know about season three and four because I dropped) was believable for teenagers to use it, it was a consistent style for each character and it matched with the tone of the series, as well with make-up production. As an example, Betty, Cheryl and Veronica used different lipstick colors to distinguish their characters personalities (Cheryl had vibrant reds to show passion, agression, Betty used light-pink and coral tones to show her sweet behaivor and naiveness and Veronica usually wore purple and brown-ish colors for elegance and disturbance) and had different styles.
Imagine if the more traditional Japanese magical girl shows got stuff like this. I mean I know how sailor moon grows up, and I like it that way. Even worse would be a precure show... I mean Netflix already didn’t do well with the whole glitter force thing, but this type of remake would be in a whole other level.
The Flora/Terra situation: let’s have a plus size actress -latino and plus sized? Nah, too much representation -give her a decent outfit? Nah, people would pay actual attention to her
By the way, Terra isn't Flora. Terra is Flora's cousin. So they could've just made Floria biracial? Or give another explanation. Cuz they're bringing Flora in S2 and she's Latina.
Flora was my favourite character as a kid because of her personality. Even if the change of her physical appearance is a disaster (and plus size girls can wear femenine and fashionable clothes, I hope producers could think of that one day) I loved how warm, tender and friendlywhile strongminded and brave Flora was. Terra... I don't like at all.
Exactly. There's nothing winx club about this "adaptation". They could have changed the characters names and called it just "fate" and I don't think anyone would have made the connection.
@@LittleBugg13 disney has the rights so i don't think so. I mean..even if disney made a w.i.t.c.h live, it would prob not be this bad, at least they would respect the outfits and transformations...
I feel like they didn't want femine looks at all. Femine fashionforward women aren't often portrayed that favorably in media. You can find these looks on the mean girls or the annoying girls or the high maintenance girls. And even if the fashionable young woman is smart it usually is 'ohh look this woman likes to dress fancy and is smart at the same time how unusual!' But I grew up loving the winx club and it is one of their main traits. They have glamorous outfits and the live action should reflect that.
The war on femininity. Associating something that the majority of women do or strive for as sexist when we actually like these things or have interests in them. Men can like whatever they want to but there's a reason why things are considered feminine and masculine. It's because men and women naturally gravitate towards certain things and that's fine, forcing them on people is the problem. As a girl I don't care for the color pink but I don't care that it's considered a girly color as long as people aren't telling me it's something I have to like and most people aren't doing that.
@@whatreallymatters571 I get your point. I'm here to say no, men and women don't naturally take interest in certain things. Like you mention the colour pink - that was considered the manliest of colours until like 80 yrs ago. I'm going to add for everyone who's interested: It's far too easy to blame anything on certain levels of testosterone or estrogen. While there are obviously certain traits to be found in eg mice with high testosterone level, we find high aggression in men with both high testosterone and low testosterone with the same rate. High testosterone is also linked to high empathy, did you know? And if someone - no matter the sex- starts taking care of others, like children or elderly people, their testosterone level will go down. So far on the biochemistry level of things. On a societal point: Take IT for an example. IT was a typical "female" domain because the technicalities were considered assisting. It only became male dominated as soon as it was (financially) marketed that way. So no, we don't just gravitate in a certain direction naturally. Most girls don't actively get told pink has to be their favorite colour, but pink is just the colour that is used to market something as female, and especially as young girls who are starting to understand differences in people they look to find easy explanations on what exactly is the difference between their group and other groups. Colour is one of the most dominant things for children, since it's easy to memorise and to notice. I completely appreciate your opinion on this but wanted to add some multiprofessional findings for you to consider for yourself and for others reading through the comments (I didn't even touch on the gender binary and stuff but ooof there's so much more on this...)
@@melissakim9244 Domt care what you are here to say, sceince says otherwise, so go argue with them. Im not talking about colors, those are actually gender norms. Im talking about how testosterone will influence men to make different decisions then women and thats just a fact. Go argue with someone else. Gender and sex are very much linked more then youd like to think and science has more proof of thst then it does against it.
The main problem is that the show is mostly set in Ireland, so there's not much room for play when it comes to the presumably cold weather and the muted background tones. However, they didn't even try to at least play with colour, texture, patterns or shape - considering how sexy this show is at times, they dress the main characters like they're in a convent.
Are you irish? I know we dont have the most varied weather or landscapes, but we do have a lot of beautiful natural vibrancy and interesting landscapes.
@@NoCommonSense9 I'm not a native, so I apologize if I got it wrong. I'm just basing this off my brief experience as a tourist. The series portrays some of the landscape in bright light and it does look incredibly vibrant, but I assumed the cold weather would make for much dimmer lighting mor generally and the necessity to wear warmer, more practical clothing, which was my experience while there.
I literally loved WINX as a child. I'm black so I was very happy to get a character looking like me, especially since I was born in Germany. I loved the bright colors and beautiful wings. We didn't even get that and now imagine being Asian and getting the representation taken...
Tara is the epitome of i’m fat so “i’m going to hide being boxy silhouettes because i’m not confident in my body.” It’s anointing because just can’t you’re fat doesn’t mean you aren’t confident. i love my body rolls and all.
I think that because they whitewashed everyone they tried to incorporate a lady that’s a bit like curvier so they didn’t get hate because of that and they could have done it amazingly and being like “hey just because I’m curvier doesn’t mean I can’t dress in like amazing clothes and have an amazing style” and instead they just didn’t even try and did the opposite.
@@loveniall1 ikr it’s so upsetting. Kat from Euphoria is curvy/plus sized and she wore some cool outfits. They could have done the same for Terra in Winx.
Something I personally didn't like about the show wasn't just the clothing. It was the amount of angst and lust. They completely oversimplified teenagers in the writing. Absolutely hated it. Everybody is so pissed off all the time for no damn reason.
Ikr. It's like euphoria meet fairies, but you missed the whole beauty of both. Completely unrealistic and messed up for something that was meant to be based of a a girly kids TV show.
It was some Harry Potter wanna be but without positive aspects of it and with Bellatrix as protagonist 😅😂. And they did Aisha so dirty they made Stella keep her title as a princess but not Aisha even though they both are. And they basically made Aisha into the” black mammy” trope which is racist
And blue makes much more sense to be honest. If you dress a red-haired girl in red, it clashes and does not work that well, but the blue catches your eye immediately. And there's also the thing where blue flames are scientifically believed to be hotter (Stronger?) than orange/red flames.
@@sakshimaheshwari8683 It was actually confirmed in the lore that Bloom indeed loves to wear blue colored clothing to make her red hair stand out ! So you're on point !
You know what's crazy, is that Beatrix had the best looks in the show... Her outfits looked amazing and fit the personality of her character so well... The dark, yet extremely fashion forward preppy vibe was soooo good... I haven't come across a video that mentions her styling in the show, and she was the only character who looked good
A friend showed her Mum who doesn't know what Winx is that image at 0:32 and asked her what she thinks the show is about. Her guess of was, A group of divorced ladies in their 30s who want to get 'fresh start' who either started business together or want revenge on their exes. XD
As someone who grew up watching Winx Club, we definitely deserved better. A lot of iconic tv shows and films owe part of their status and cult followings to the fashion. A lot of famous fictional characters are loved for their personality/storyline yes, but the outfits are crucial too.
the thing i loved the most about the fairy outfits in the animation was the glitter. it was such a simple detail but it was so whimsical and girly and magical, and i love the visual look of glitter
Re: the money issue. Most of the girls on the show are princesses and have money. Stella particularly would wear trendy high fashion looks in real life.
You can even make the case that the clothes are less expensive because the other planets are more technologically advanced than Earth so even characters like Musa, who had financial issues in the cartoon, can wear trendy outfits without issue. Also for Musa, it would be pretty easy to thrift clothes and still stay pretty true to her character and fashion sense.
@@RogueVideoRaven It could even be relevant to Bloom's fish out of water arc. She arrives to the magical world and finds out that Earth's best quality designer clothes look like garbage bags compared to even the cheapest stuff there.
I think maybe in the U.K. it would have been harder to cast a Latina, as there aren’t as many Latinos in the U.K. as in the US but they could’ve at least tried to get an actress with a Portuguese or Spanish background to make the character as close to its original background rather than white british
tecna was literally so amazing because she provided to us a smart female character who wasn't a social outcast, had so much fun, and helped her friends with her smarts without being condescending, not to mention that her whole arc wasnt that she got a guy therefore her life was complete, it was that her friends around her taught her that its ok to not be logical all the time and be emotional and that doesnt make her weak. they wiped out an amazing character with amazing value.
As an Italian girl that grew up with the Winx club i was HORRIFIED by the whitewasing and the complete lack of fashion in it. The best part of Winx was that all little girls had someone who looked like them. Plus, the fashion was SO iconic, I used to dream about wearing those dresses. My little self would be crying, she deserved better. ALSO, WHERE ARE THE GLITTER WINGS?
I'm a not latina nor Asian but I'm black and although they didn't whitewash aisha I will never fogive them for whitewashing both flora and musa that's very disrespectful to the hispanic and Asian people that grew up with winx club and seeing what fate did😒.
I was in lovvveee with Stella JUST because of her outfits. Ngl I also kinda admired Diaspro just because of her iconic cream with red on top of an orange kind of moment. Their transformation outfits were always so freaking cute especially with the glitter and the shapes like ugh-I miss this so much😩🤍🤍🤍
My guess: Bloom: girl next door Stella: barbiecore but with more then just pinkish colors Flora: boho, cottagecore Tecna: y2k, futuristic (but not too much) Musa: e-girl, alt, Japanese street fashion, although some say she was Chinese inspired, in that case I’d say Chinese street fashion Aisha: sporty, athleticism
In my interpretation, I see techna to have an alien core futuristic look, Aisha to have athletic with a little hint of y2k, Stella - luxury x sexy, silk and opulent prints but in a balanced way
So, for Aisha’s powers, I watched in Italian cause I’m Italian, and they called her powers like “fluids”, but she also has that pink stuff in the first season she does uses it more, but she still uses it to make weapons and trap creatures and suff. It’s like a rubber thing, they called it plasma, but Idk. It’s actually a really cool power and she could shape in wathever thing she wanted.
@@m0t0pr1ncess hum, in the Italian version she just calls it plasma. I don’t think it makes much sense, but it is what it is. I’m just wondering, we’re did “Morpihx” come from
I think there was many different translation of Aisha, like in some translations of they call her Layla so I'm not surprised y'all have different words
it's actually called morphix in Italian too, but they started calling it that from season 3 onwards. also that's actually her only power and she uses it not only in season 2, but the entire series. nickelodeon tried to give her water/waves in the recent seasons because the other winx had these well-defined powers and she just had the pink fluid.
Flora was definitely my favorite Winx girl. I low key loved how feminine she was and how she cares for plants and wore floral print. When I found out she was Latina, that made me feel even better for liking her! My skin pigmentation isn’t close to hers (people would confuse me for someone that is white) but as a little girl I was happy that I could identify with a character that was just like me even tho I don’t typically look like the stereotypical Latina. Your fashion choices were definitely creative and vibing more than the show! It’s hard to choose because I loved all of them but if I have to choose I’ll have to say I liked Stella, Flora, Aisha, and Techna the most. ❤️
I totally understand! I LOVE Flora, she was always my favorite, and I didn’t even know she was Hispanic until this video! I’m so sad what Netflix did to her :( I just went to watch the original show instead...
Ech maybe it is better. The show was a hatefic hating on everything and everyone anyways. Characters with Asperger Syndrome are hard to write in a way that is not offensive. The only good depictions I saw was Happy Feet, Box Trolls and Fantastic Beasts first and second part. And from anime Ghost in the Shell, Violet Evergarden, Angel's Egg and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
As a young gay boy I was literally obsessed with this show. You picked really cute pieces and clothes! Flora was my favorite bc I loved plants lol and she was so sweet

Remake/ “live action” culture needs to die already... I think audiences need to boycott these en masse and invest in original and underrepresented storytelling. These no effort nostalgia driven productions are getting tired, and they definitely show how there’s no respect for the intelligence of the audience
Exactly. Why making live action adaptations of fantasy cartoons/books anyway? Animation has way less limitations (though in this case it wouldn't solve the writing problem)
something i don’t like about the entire show is how masculine it looks. like i miss the femininity and the bright colors! i miss the girly-ness :/ it was just so boring to watch, mostly because it was a let down because i was expecting so much more fun and exciting and action packed and it was just dark and boring. we should really petition for a REreboot because this was not it!!!! edit: i’m not saying that dark colors = masculinity or bright colors = femininity. it’s obvious that the original show was very bright and colorful unlike the live action version. i’m just pointing out that i was disappointed in the reboots fashion because the characters clearly had different taste than that. and the overall feeling i felt when watching it was different as well. i was bored when i watched fate. not excited like i used to be. :/
so you miss the vibrant, colorful, exiting vibe of it and dislike the dark, sad feel to it? I'm saying this because it really annoys me when people assign women with vibrant colors and men with dark tones, as it roots in patriarchy.

When I saw the "poster" of the show all I could think was: "Who invited the conservative Christian mother to do the outfits" and "Who made the decision to reduce the characters to the token plus size, the token colored and token Hispanic girls plus the white girls in a show that was so diverse?"
And Tecna is on the show, as Terra. Look for the common points between the two and you'll understand what I mean. But as Fate was based on natural elements, they had to change her powers and thus, her name. But she's still the logical one, always looking for a solution (especially S2 for Musa or when she told Flora where to find solvant for her potion), always working rather than doing nothing, Musa's roommate,... Doja Cat also wears a lot of flashy and feminine clothes that could work for the Winx girls as well. I can see them in stuff that she performs in both live and in her videos.
I AM SO HAPPY YOU USED NANA AS INSPO FOR MUSA !! when the live action was announced i was expecting cute streetwear and we got early 2000s cool girl DJ 😭😭😭😭😭

@@theddymoukoumbi They changed the plot or maybe recorded a new line for the show but the actress was cast as Flora. In fact making her the cousin of Flora just makes the issue even worse because it means Flora exists in this universe and they still decided to replace her with a white girl.

In response to what she said in the beginning about high end fashion not being suitable for a show grounded in realism eg Emily in Paris let’s not forget that most of the winx were legitimate Princesses like Stella and Aisha (I’m still salty that Aisha lost her title like wtf) so yes they could afford it
As someone who grew up watching winx i was deeply disappointed with fate the winx had such iconic style that really spoke to each of them and who they were and I think netflix really put the bar extremely low the winx were such an inspiration to younger me, they taught me to be bold and unapologetic in your fashion and even my style today takes inspiration from them. Think of all the bold outfit choices and chic hairstyles that were completely just forgotten in fate it honestly makes me wanna cry it feels like someone is repeatedly stomping on all my fondest childhood memories and calling them trash we deserved so much better.
My basic fashion sense cannot comprehend stella in those bright red gucci stockings and layla with the purple blazer. But props to you for coming up with these SICK styles

Right? They should've just named it differently. Like they changed ever possible plot and backstory of the show
That was exactly what they said they where gonna do, Netflix said they where gonna use the base of the show and then make it better which they did. They made it better for people who aren’t 8. It’s in the world with some of the characters but they have completely different personality’s. If the name didn’t have winx in it there wouldn’t even be hate for the show beside the clothes obvi

Yes your Right, and that's the problem

When styling teenagers in shows and movies they should bring in actual teenager's opinions. From just average teenager, to fashionista teenager, to actual "looking for a fashion designer career" teenager. I always wondered why shows and movies didn't do that.
Exactly
YESS
Ikr it's that simple

Not to mention y2k fashion is sooo in style at the moment!! They could've easily had the show popularized all over social media and hyped with just the slightest bit of effort into the outfits. Even if they just emulated outfits in the original show.

@@hollynotholy
Frrrrr, ALL IN SPARKLY HEELS. HOW GIRLBOSS IS THAT
I agree with the fact that it seems less girly but it is also more mature and dark so they would have to completely change the way they go about the plot.

Tbh I think even Riverdale characters dress better than whatever the heck was going on in fate
And the fact that they made bloom look like that “13 reasons why” Hanna baker is sad
The Flora/Terra situation: let’s have a plus size actress
-latino and plus sized? Nah, too much representation

By the way, Terra isn't Flora. Terra is Flora's cousin. So they could've just made Floria biracial? Or give another explanation. Cuz they're bringing Flora in S2 and she's Latina.
Flora was my favourite character as a kid because of her personality. I feel like they didn't want femine looks at all. Femine fashionforward women aren't often portrayed that favorably in media. You can find these looks on the mean girls or the annoying girls or the high maintenance girls. And even if the fashionable young woman is smart it usually is 'ohh look this woman likes to dress fancy and is smart at the same time how unusual!'
But I grew up loving the winx club and it is one of their main traits. They have glamorous outfits and the live action should reflect that.
Yeah, like Elle. She was both girly and fashionable yet witty at the same time.
The main problem is that the show is mostly set in Ireland, so there's not much room for play when it comes to the presumably cold weather and the muted background tones. Tecna: y2k, futuristic (but not too much)
Musa: e-girl, alt, Japanese street fashion, although some say she was Chinese inspired, in that case I’d say Chinese street fashion
Aisha: sporty, athleticism
Flora is less boho and more fairycore, I would say.
In my interpretation, I see techna to have an alien core futuristic look, Aisha to have athletic with a little hint of y2k, Stella - luxury x sexy, silk and opulent prints but in a balanced way
On point
For Aisha i would add a little bit of Motto Mami vibes too
That’s what I was thinking 💭
So, for Aisha’s powers, I watched in Italian cause I’m Italian, and they called her powers like “fluids”, but she also has that pink stuff in the first season she does uses it more, but she still uses it to make weapons and trap creatures and suff. It’s like a rubber thing, they called it plasma, but Idk. It’s actually a really cool power and she could shape in wathever thing she wanted.
the name of the fluid she controls is "morphix"!
@@user-oe7zd1lt4k Yeah, it was kind of weird but it was still a cool power

I loved Stella too, it’s really rare to see a feminine girl who’s sweet and has a purpose in a story

i'm never forgiving Fate for removing my favourite entirely
Tecna supremacy
Ech maybe it is better. The show was a hatefic hating on everything and everyone anyways. Characters with Asperger Syndrome are hard to write in a way that is not offensive. The only good depictions I saw was Happy Feet, Box Trolls and Fantastic Beasts first and second part. And from anime Ghost in the Shell, Violet Evergarden, Angel's Egg and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
As a young gay boy I was literally obsessed with this show. You picked really cute pieces and clothes! Flora was my favorite bc I loved plants lol and she was so sweet

Your sense of style and fashion is really inspiring!
Remake/ “live action” culture needs to die already... I think audiences need to boycott these en masse and invest in original and underrepresented storytelling. These no effort nostalgia driven productions are getting tired, and they definitely show how there’s no respect for the intelligence of the audience
I wish I could give this comment a million likes
@@MissTsoisauce He was part of the project 💀💀💀
Amen, also bad live actions like this or Mulan's are actually really good at making people see that point.
Exactly. Why making live action adaptations of fantasy cartoons/books anyway? Animation has way less limitations (though in this case it wouldn't solve the writing problem)
and if it were to be done again it should be by young people. or people who were raised in the era of the animation
something i don’t like about the entire show is how masculine it looks. like i miss the femininity and the bright colors! i miss the girly-ness :/ it was just so boring to watch, mostly because it was a let down because i was expecting so much more fun and exciting and action packed and it was just dark and boring. we should really petition for a REreboot because this was not it!!!!
edit: i’m not saying that dark colors = masculinity or bright colors = femininity. it’s obvious that the original show was very bright and colorful unlike the live action version. i’m just pointing out that i was disappointed in the reboots fashion because the characters clearly had different taste than that. and the overall feeling i felt when watching it was different as well. i was bored when i watched fate. not excited like i used to be. :/
so you miss the vibrant, colorful, exiting vibe of it and dislike the dark, sad feel to it?
I'm saying this because it really annoys me when people assign women with vibrant colors and men with dark tones, as it roots in patriarchy.

Right? They really replaced a poc with a plus sized girl and called it representation????
@@mellow2636 they could have at least made Terra a person of colour too instead of just plus-sized but that’d be too much representation for Netflix
“Musa was my favorite growing up”
At least your favorite WAS in the Netflix show
My favorite was Tecna.
There are a lot more of similarities, just because the name changed doesn't mean that she wasn't there at all.
@@oceanehulin20 I’m sorry but as an Italian I can’t accept this bullshit. @@hilar0s96 I do agree that countries should stop stealing others' work and Fate is not perfect, but I'm still able to enjoy a show for what it is rather than for what it should be. They stole Beauty and the Beast from my country to make some Disney bullshit (2014 version with Vicent Castel is the closest to the original you can find) and we're not complaining about it because this is just what every country is doing. It's not normal nor should it be accepted, but the fact is that people just accept it. Forget about the moral sense of which film belongs to which country and enjoy the show for what it is rather than what it could have been. I'm not American either, btw. I'm French and proud to be, but I also know that we have to enjoy what we can because life is too short to just get mad for things as petty as TV shows.
