My personal favourite track from the AKI team (beating even Starrcade). It's smooth, funky but with a sense of melancholy helped by AKI's heartfelt message to their fans at its closing and, of course, knowing it WAS the end. They always delivered in general but most certainly did when it came to Credits music.
I always saw this theme as the perfect AKI era send off.
It just screamed "thank you for your support & love for our games".
Especially when all 3 were bangers in the 64 age.
Sleep easy AKI man. Your legacy is never forgotten.
Even feelsier when you realize they technically released 6 games on the n64. 7 if you count the one playstation game they did first.

When I beat this game for the first time as Triple H I started dancing to this theme. I guess I was like "Whatever, I'm the best at being a villain!" The bassline and the drumkit work wonders on this game!!! Goddamn, I miss Attitude Era. It's a shame WWF Backlash was never created.

There was no Backlash planned, that was just a rumor. Sanders Keel confirmed this on the Pro Wrestling X podcast.

Just defended my dissertation and ended my 6 year carreer! This started to play in my head inmedieatñy #nomercy4life
This song felt like such a grateful sendoff, as the game came out during the last full year of the N64's life cycle. Not to mention that WWF was at its biggest peaks at this point in time and when this game was released, WCW would be bought by WWF just five months later officially ending the Monday Night Wars.
