    I was cutting a large branch and when it started falling it pulled the chainsaw out of my hand. The only damage was the chain had slipped out of the track. This video helped me fix it! 👍👍

    Very helpful, thanks. At first I tightened the chain too tight, and the saw didn't work properly. Then I tried again, not over-tightening this time, and it worked perfectly.

    Thank you so much. This is the best DIY I've found & the exact problem I have as well. I have a RYOBI 14inch 38cc Chainsaw & my chain literally jumped off my saw after making a cut in a tree. Thank you 👍🏼

    I know this has helped a few people, but this video has some errors.
    1. Chain is on wrong back to Front
    2. The saw has a screw to tighten the chain, so no need to pull on it. You do NOT tighten the 2 Nuts beyond finger tight otherwise you will break the screw.
    Undo the Nuts, use a screw driver to tighten the chain, once correct tightness has been achieved, tight the nuts tight... But not superman tight.

    Saw arrived yesterday th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and today I cut about 3/4 cord of wood with it. Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved. The self-sharpener works great, and it just kept cutting through some pretty decent logs. Wear your eye protection, and ear protection. Excellent saw.

    I was sawing at an awkward angle reaching up and the chain did get stuck in the wedge for at least 10 minutes until I could get a hand saw And cut the remaining branch. When I try putting the chain back on I undid the cover held The tension and then when I turned it back on it slipped off so I'm wondering if they do bend but it went right back on the teeth of the blade

  • @andyg8986

    The chain is on backwards. Angled tooth forwards, flat edge of tooth to back when looking down from above and along track from the motor housing to bar tip.

    • @freewaybaby
      @freewaybaby 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mareksumguy1887 Well, that may be...but, when my husband was alive, he wouldn’t let me use the chain saw, pole saw or tiller because he said the saws would kick back and the tiller would jerk my arms off. Well, since he’s been gone, I’ve hesitantly used all these things and wish I’d actually learned how to use them without having to learn by TH-cam! Sooo, some of us WANT to make, create, fix or use these things! Now, for your brother in law....sounds like a totally different thing! 🤪

    Needs to be more tighter you need to undo the bolts that hold the Mountain cover on on and do the adjusting screw up until you feel resistance in the chain

    1) The chain is backward
    2) He doesn't use the thighten screw or stop screw
    3) He doesn't use glows.. chain cut's you easily..
