Sounds like the perfect replacement for Martial. BTW - it is not about how many goals he scores, but about how many goals he is involved in.
Bullocks! Why do Manchester United fans do this…..this fanbase slated Martial for lack of goals but somehow we are now okay with a low-scoring forward. I’ll believe it when I see it

@KC-lt7iw Martial was slated injury, inconsistency and lack of effort. He had a season or two where he wasn't injured and was consistent and scored enough goals we accepted his low effort. Its a bit different, zirkzee is by all accounts a hard worker, has a good injury record and does enough outside of scoring goals unlike martial

I noticed it last season… Everyone mentioned how Hojlund received the least passes among PL strikers.. no one mentioned that Martial received the 2nd least per game 🤦🏾♂️
@@Akeem-uk6pl If your argument is based on Martial last season alone then you've lost the argument. Injuries, effort and attitude go a long way for fans opinion. Hojlund also had the best shot conversion % last season. Also Martial was on 250k a week.

I was just about to say this, like an old school Dwight Yorke type of role (SS) just behind Rasmus would work a treat. Maybe in place of Bruno to give him a rest from time to time.
People also forgetting that RVN started as a number 10 and became a striker. So that might help with the coaching.

@@mrsastre9404 Not in the pro game at least, maybe in the youth. Den Bosch, Heerenveen and first season PSV was number 10.
I think he's an exciting player who is going to get better. We suffered last season from a lack of creativity going forward, we were at times very predictable and easy to defend against. This issue also meant that Hojlund dropped out of position a lot to get the ball and Rashford didn’t get the ball in good positions as he did the previous year.
If Zirkzee can get regular games and adapt to the premier league he could be the very player to solve a lot of our issues. And if he does do well, this will help drive the team forward.
Secondly, getting Ruud back is genius. He can pass on so much experience to all the players and not just the forwards. I also see Ethan Wheatley improving under Ruud, and Amad too so bring it on!
Everyone is all about hojlund,but i feel this is when you will see Amad Diallo taking the premier league like a storm..coming in of Zirkzee would give Amad the ability to run in behind defences..
Amad plays more in between the lines, zirkzee would defo be useful for Rashford and garnacho though
Zirkzee with Amad and garnacho for the low blocks, Hojlund with Rashford and Amad/garnacho for the high lines.

@@yourguyin2554 Zirkzee plays deep which will draw defenders and leave space for the wide players with pace to run into, Rashford had that with Martial or Weghorst when he had his good seasons. Zirkzee is also a pass first striker looking for his teammates, so yes it would benefit him also. Dialo will be better with Hojlund as he doesn’t really attack the space behind the defence, he’s more of a ball to feet winger.

I think Zirkzee could play as that creative false 9 with 2 of Højlund Rashford, Amad & Garnacho working as split forwards
Or as a striker partnership with Garnacho, Kobbie, Ugarte (or another six) and Bruno as a midfield.
Initially i was concerned that this guy would step all over Bruno's toes but then I remembered how well Weghorst worked in the pocket. Either way, our biggest issue is feeding Hojlund more than it is shoe horning this guy in

Nope. Bayern youth teams. Loans to Anderlecht and Parma. Sold to Bologna.
Yeah hints of Van Nistelrooy v Fulham in the way Zirkzee hits some of his finishes when the keeper doesn’t expect it.

I can potentially see Zirkzee benching Rashford tbh! The fact that he's constantly looking to bring other players into play and create for the team for me Rashford will need to step his game up and not be so damn predictable when on the ball in the final third.

I think everything will eventually align with a deep laying forward as bruno starts to be faded out the side i love bruno but i dont think he works in a possession based formation unless we can look at playing him deeper ?.. but he floats alot and thats his game that is literally what makes bruno bruno is that he is all action he isn’t a system player .. i struggle to see him in this side in 2-3 seasons time

Honestly, not giving up on Hojlund by any stretch, but he's not shown he's ready to be the main man, thus far. We will need at least 2 of Hojlund, Rashford, Garnacho, Amad, Mount and Zirkzee if he comes, to really have really good seasons, otherwise struggling in a fight for top 4 happens again.
Disagree - Hojlund had shown patience, persistance and strong mental fortitude during a tough infinitum stretch of not scoring - largely because he was not being serviced. If he is, he will convert. He has shown to be performing excelently against his xg.
We’re going to be in a fight for top 4 anyway next season. We’re getting stronger like everyone else is & you don’t go from 8th to contending in a year.
@@arrowzen7433 If he was playing for Spurs or Chelsea last season, with that return, we'd be laughing at them for wasting 70m. Had a really poor Euros, too. Guy still has time, but he really needs to step up. Can't help but feel he should have been the back up last year, and again this coming season.
Not sure why everyone thinks bringing in Zirkzee is a solution to hojlund's lack of experience. They've played about the same number of games but zirkzee is 2 years older. No idea why we don't go for an experienced and proven striker instead of Zirkzee.
@@kxyoto8541 Shouldn't go from 3rd to 8th, neither. As it stands we're not favourites for top 4, imo. Before you say injuries, Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs also had really bad injuries, too, and they'll be 3 of our biggest rivals, you would expect.
We wanted Zirkzee last summer didn't have the cash for it.
Every action Ruud took, the smallest movement of his body involved getting the team a goal, preferably by him.
He didn't have Ronaldo's physicality but, he was most instinctive goalscorer I've ever seen.

Could we be moving to a false 9 type of front 3 where Zirkzee plays a Kane creating sort of role and instead of Garnacho on the right, it's Rasmus, he did kind of like to attack from the wing while at Atalanta and having 2 really big guys on the front and if you need to switch from Zirkzee at the 9 to Rasmus while in the middle of the game without a Sub and let Rashy do his thing on the left and not worry about at times playing the 9
Off topic : when Greenwood goes, would you consider doing a video on how United have failed to guide the best young player at the club since Ravel Morrison? Pre accusations, lots of people around the boy knew of his toxic relationship and questionable behaviour. As a club we need to have more of a holistic approach - ie all psychological work etc.
We also failed to guide Ravel Morrison, sadly some people just aren't for guidance, they go their own way and that doesn't always lead to where they expect.
That perspective takes all fault away from Greenwood. It's like making a video titled "How Juventus failed to stop Paul Pogba from taking steroids".
@@BAReactions no, the attribution of blame is not a mutually exclusive proposition. Clearly, Greenwood must face up to the situation. This does not mean the club are immune from blame. football is a working class sport, where oftentimes young boys from challenging backgrounds get launched into positions of perverse power that they are not mentally equipped to deal with. I don’t believe the club got hold of Greenwood properly. His toxic relationship with his GF was known to be a problem by friends and locals. As a club we need to have a better 360 around our players, especially youngsters coming through our system.

I don’t think he is as good as Ste is making him out, but, the profile of the player will fit in, and with the fact that we are crying out for effort and versatility at the forward three, he’s capable of displacing someone in time.

He loves dinking or rounding a keeper and has s few goals from awkward angles that i dont think hed get away with in the prem but his control and physicality could make him very useful. For the price i have no complaints whatsoever but hopefully he learns a few things from RVN.

Everton won't let Thwaite go for £45 million, and we shouldn't even have bid that much. We need to move away from this kid, and get someone who's good enough to dislodge Guehi and Konsa from a squad. The kid isn't good enough.

@@RT-far-Tcompletely agree. Particularly as we’re seeing players like De Ligt are going far cheaper. There are options out there. Not a massive fans of De Ligt btw but think he’s better than Branthwaite. Would far prefer to see us going for Guehi if going for an English player.
Personally think INEOS are allowing Ten Hag a few of his own personal signings until they’ve properly set up a scouting network and defined targets. This player is pretty average and screams yet another ‘I want him because he’s either Ajax related or Dutch’

Zirkzee... nah, does not possess the pace to succeed in the Premier League. I think he will be pulled apart... but if he presses and brings the wingers into play, then, then... we have something. But he needs to enhance his understanding with Garnacho/Rashford etc.

The more i see of him the more i think he's overhyped just because he can move about nicely, the guy doesn't score goals... imagine getting a striker who has only scored 12 goals in 2 years
For similar money we could have got Santiago Gimenez who scored 23 league goals last season plus 6 assists and he added 2 goals and a further 2 assists in the UCL. United even scouted him last year but chose Hojund instead for nearly triple the price. Only just turned 23 and he scores.
Zirkzee looked awful when the Netherlands brought him on, he looked out of place, nervous and clumsy, might just be me but im not excited at all by this signing, i hope he proves me wrong 🤞🏻

@@jaysparrow6631 Antony is a lost caused I think. He has no right foot, he is not blistering quick and his movement off the ball isn't great. I feel Antony is a LWB pretending to be a RW.
What to expect from Zirkzee?
1. Hardly any goals because his wingers can't cross.
2. Gesticulating at his wingers, who can't cross.
3. Scoring 12 league goals, because his wingers can't cross.
4. Running around fruitlessly because his wingers can't cross.
5. Getting criticised because he doesn't score many, because his wingers can't cross.
Summed up well
Zirkzee is like a Martial type striker, they help create chances, much more suited to the other players we have compared to Hojlund
Its looking to me like rude is being primed to be ten hags replacement i think this is why they only actived the one year exstention give rude a couple years to get used to the place

I don't like the profile of striker that Zirkzee is Ste. I hate watching strikers like Kane, Zirkzee and Martial that constantly drop deep into the midfield.
If we sign Zirkzee it will leave us without a real focal point in the attack and it puts too much pressure on the likes of Garnacho and Rashford to pick up Zirkzees slack.
What if Rashford has another season like the 23/24 season? I also dont see Garnacho being ~20 league goal player. Zirkzee only averages 6.5 league goals per season. We should be going for a established clinical goal scorer that doesn't drop deep.

@@georgecallaghan4206 Yes and that's also my problem with getting Zirkzee, our fans complain about there being no consistent style of play. Well you you won't see a consistent style of play by signing the polar opposite to what we already have.
We need to be going with a more experienced version Hojlund. Someone like Artem Dovbyk or Alexander Sørloth would be ideal. The 2 strikers I named don't have a ton of shots to score and they both don't drop deep into midfield.

@@georgecallaghan4206 Alvarez isnt a striker pal, he is a forward but last season(23/24) he was mostly used as a no.10 mate. The small amount of games that Alvarez has played as lone striker he uses his pace to run in behind like Haaland does. Zirkzee doesn't do that mate. Zirkzee will constantly come deep occupying Centre Mid areas mate.
Literally every striker City had since getting oil money, runs in behind. Roque Santa Cruz, Jo, Bony, Adebayor, Aguero and Haaland. They all run in behind and look to score mate, all of those players are extremely similar.
If we want to see a consistent style of play like City we need to be consistent with our player profiles. No point signing counter attacking, possession and Gegenpressing players... You will get a squad with no identity like we have now.
@@-_-DatDudeFirmino and Origi aren't the same no.9s they thrived for Liverpool, in different ways, Higuain was a box 9 at Real Madrid, where Benzema was more a false 9, facilitating for Ronaldo, at Real Madrid, Rooney and RVP were different 9's in Ferguson's last season, we won the league, so was Berbatov and Tevez, Yorke and Cole were different types of strikers, again we won trebles, and league titles with them, Muller (when he played in the no.9) and Lewandowski, were 2 different styles of 9's, for Pep at Bayern, Messi and Zlatan, again 2 different 9's, in Pep's Barcelona
