From rankings I noticed EY is really high in M&A, is it true? and is it possible to start from EY(or some other BIG4) and then transition into an Investment Bank or a PE firm?
Depends what region, in the US extremely difficult (maybe work in Big4, do MBA and then transition). In Europe: - London very difficult (just the economy sucks) - Other European countries easily but without the language you are broke. Big4 like EY or PwC are extremely strong in CEE and Nordics, they completely win over EBs or BBs there
I have an MBA question for you given you went to Wharton - did you notice the massive increase in people interested in Rx? A lot are going for it as MBA Associates. I find it an interesting area but long term I still think M&A is a better area to work in long term (plus exit opportunities, granted these are different past the associate level). Would be interested in your thoughts as I am recruiting currently (different but similar school).
>Tell people you showcase top boutiques in the world >Focuses on some US boutiques that outside of the US means nothing Really most of those boutiques would never be in top 10-20 in Europe. And if league tables are your main source, then in most parts of the world Big4 trashes banks…
RothCo needs to go down since we’re basically ranking everything else by USA rankings though. They’ve been trending down geographically and playing closer to the MM space, would put them alongside HL.
