I remember buying a new copy of this at GameStop for $40 or $50 back in the day and when I went to return it the next day, the worker said “we usually don’t allow returns on new games but I’ll make an exception in this case.”

I remember the review on Gametrailers, It had the sentence "Your knife uses ammunition" as a sign of how terrible it was.
Fun fact: I've seen multiple people play this game, and never anyone getting beyond these levels.

Completed it on 360, it wasn't bad at all. One thing people don't seem to understand is that the game is very linear. In most gameplay segments you have to find the one correct course of actions. If you grasp that, the game is pretty decent as a stealth action.
Isn’t that inherently awful for a STEALTH game? Those are centered around having multiple ways of completing your mission. Making sense doesn’t equate to fun gameplay.
Yeah that's what we all wanted was a single path "stealth" game.....oh wait, no it wasnt.

I made it! Been watching through this whole series over the past couple of months and now I’m up to date and the only thing I have to offer is this:
I have been waiting, wondering when Victim Select would become Games Victim Select and it turns out the answer is “never”.
I remember this game well. I tried my best to complete it. Was actually somewhat enjoying it. Got to what I thought was the end of the game. Only for it to carry on and I lost interest in it.
I actually did finish this game on 360, it was hard but I did it.

I remember reading a review of this game, by GameInformer, who gave it a 3 out of 10.
A 3/10. How does a game get THAT bad?! That's when I knew to stay the hell away from this garbage. How anyone made it through the game, without throwing their controllers through the window, is beyond me...
Vampire Rain the more scary version of raining Cats and Dogs just image Dracula and a bunch of other Vampires falling from the sky.
Every aspect of this game is soul-crushingly, oppressively boring. Imagine the poor souls who actually spent money on this abomination.

Legacy Of Kain is one of my fave franchises, or was then - I stupidly thought this might be a little bit like it, so paid about £15 for it not long after release.
I bought so many bad games back then as I didn't put much stock in magazine reviews. It's a lot easier to avoid dross nowadays. Saying this, the Fast & Furious game released not long back sold loads, as did Marvels Avengers, so bad games will always be bought by someone 😂 thankfully, that someone is no longer me*.
I bought Troll And I at a car boot sale last week 😩 it was 50p, I still feel ripped off.

i had the 360 version and thought it was really cool but hard then i found out it's considered one of the worst games ever
I was expecting Benpotter to be named the Games Inquisition and walked away bitterly disappointed.
How the Hell did the developers advertise this as "Vampire MGS/Splinter Cell" yet didn't even include any hand to hand combat or stealth grabs. That's one of the most satisfying things to do in a stealth game and they cut it out entirely.
Ooh I was thinking about sending you the 360 version of this game, but I decided to send you Rogue Warrior instead, looks like I made the right call in doing so.

It’s so surreal that you guys played this game. It was the first game I got for my 360 and it scared the piss out of me and anyone I tried talked to about this game never heard of it. Looking back on it I can’t see why I was so scared of this game 😂

So this game has the logic that birds flying off might alert enemies that you're there, but firing a shot at them is completely inconspicuous...

This is a very poor imitation of Splinter Cell
This is a crappy beta version of Splinter Cell meets a poor clone of Metal Gear Solid; starring Judd Johnson from X-Squad. If you tried to combine Splinter Cell with Metal Gear Solid; and for some reason threw in vampires? And Yuri Lowenthal; and Laura Bailey? Also; has anyone ever gotten past this part; ever? Or is the game THAT bad?
In America, vampires are actually known as "streetwalkers", not "nightwalkers"
Grandams sit around the wood stove telling their children stories about ancient Romanian towns plagued by evil undead streetwalkers, and remind us kiddies always to put our money in our shoes when visiting Romanian red candle districts.
Dark is basically the inverse of this game, instead of a stealth game where you sneak around vampires in dark your a vampire who sneaks around dudes with guns
And they’re both equally shit for different reasons.
Dark is so bizzarely entertaining to play though. I always have a great time with my playthrough, despite the huge flaws

Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver was pretty stealthy at times - it did indeed rule.
Vampyr was pretty stealthy too, at least the few hours I played was, I gave up on it pretty sharpish cos of the woeful frame rate and textures on PS4.

I played this game when I was like 11 with my little brother and that was scary lol. But that was actually a fun game to me and I finished it. I might be one of the only one who liked it 😂
I remember watching my dad play the game when I was younger, and I had asked for a turn. He gave me the controller. When I say I shit myself out of fear I mean it man. It was so fun as a kid though. I guess it's more of a guilty pleasure lol

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that not only has completed this entire game, but also, doesn't hate it.
It's not brilliant by any means. I'm not even certain I'd go so far as to call it good. But sometimes I just feel like playing it. It's very strict - you have to play each level exactly how they want you to play it, taking the exact path they want you to take or you die, but it has a sort of charm I guess, and there's even a few moments of genuine tension.
I'm the same. I was surprised by how much I liked it. Could have been really great though and the concept was kind of wasted.
@@keirmartin2830 Oh the concept was absolutely wasted. There was so much potential and so many other approaches they could have taken with this game. Alas, it's slim pickens for vampire games, especially good ones, and I dont understand why.

It’s not a bad idea trying to mesh Resident Evil with MGS and Splinter Cell but it’s pretty awful when you look back at how both of those games handled level design in the early PS2 days, let alone PS3

Ok..... so I have a very......VERY.....DEEP HATE FOR THIS GAME! I played it on the xbox 360 and my God.....I literally bought it for $7AUD and I regretted it the minute I started playing. I tried to LITERALLY GIVE THE GAME AWAY to all the game shops for honestly nothing in return for 6 years!!! NOONE WOULD TAKE IT!! They kept saying it would cost too much to list it or put in their stock than it would ever be worth....I begged my local EB pawn shop to take it and they said "look, just use the case and disc as a drink coaster??".....THIS GAME IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE GAME EVER......FUCK.....THIS....GAME!!! That being said. I'm soooo happy ya'll finally played it hahaha this game deserves a 0.0000001% rating 😂😂😂😂

Bought this game years ago and beat it so many times. Loved it and I still do I'm playing it now on pc. If you play the game properly you'll enjoy it.

I got this game for free from a friend and it's the original and not a bootleg and i completed it twice, there is a method to kill the vampires even after getting the assault rifle, shoot using your pistol first then swap to your AR, the only good weapons against the vampires are the shotgun and sniper rifle and if i remember correctly a uv knife
