very good videos I'm in the middle of restoring my camaro but I want to do all the work to it I had no idea how to do the interior until I found these very instructive videos thank you so much!
+andrew verreault I'm glad the videos are useful! ...I think, you could start with the headliner, lateral trims, door panels, and rear horizontal panel; next front dashboard if so; next turn is for the floor (carpet), and when this interior is ready the seats should be done.
+Burger Van Dreamz Hello, I've no related video. The first step would be to unsew the 'panel with the fabric' from the lateral bolsters...if it is in good shape, you could sew the new fabric on top...if not, use the old panel as a mold, trace and cut the new layers (fabric, foam and backing) to be sewn together. Thanks for watching my videos!
I have to admit, I can watch the videos' from Cesar Cechaflo and quickly become hypnotized so bad, I forget to hit the "LIKE" button. Folks, guys, gals, everyone in between or whatever...hit the "Like" thumbs up! I am truly into every detail, every movement of each finger, the thought process becomes as apparent as a smack upside the head. Like, Like, Like... I respect anyone who has mastered his or her art and craftsmanship. I have been an ASE Master Tech as an automobile service tech with all parts from a differential to valve resurfacing, electrical, etc. Yes, I felt good at the end of the day, earned decent living, but this is hypnotizing! Amazing and this is number 46 Cechaflo videos' engraved into my mind. Even so, something draws me back to re-watch again a video I've seen 7 times already. This is off the hook great work as one can create the man's personality into their mind, in a peaceful proper place. Blessings...
I might suggest using spray on foaming window cleaner to slip it on with. It's super slick but dries out clean and won't stay slick inside. Nice work too BTW! 👍

Hi Cesar, great vid as always thanks for sharing. Just one thing I've learnt from my own methods (mistakes) it's much easier making markings at 2:45 if the plastic tube is still on the handle. Put chinagraphs pin to the release button and you can make a nice, even mark around.Glad to see your excellent tutorials are back.Kindest regardsprepA

Awesome! Two questions: 1. What kind of glue did you use Sir? 2. Why you didn't take measure of whole lever, but just a half while doing a pattern in vinyl? Isn't there a possibility to make an error while taking measures doing like that?
+BiscuitsForBreakfast Thanks for watching our videos! ...interesting questions... 1.I use a yellow glue which comes in cans or bottles(products in Mexico, where I am)...If you are in USA, check: www.homedepot.com/p/DAP-32-fl-oz-Weldwood-Original-Contact-Cement-00272/100125525 www.tandyleather.com/en-usd/home/department/leather-cement-glue/2525-360.aspx www.ebay.es/itm/Petronios-Master-All-Purpose-Cement-Glue-Shoe-Repair-Adhesive-Glue-4-oz-/291064753112 Do a test beforehand. 2. Half side of the handle have the same size of the other side...In fact, the important thing I should consider is the edge where the stitches would go...as we can see, the handle is thicker in the central part and narrow in the ends. The 'vinyl pattern' is just a guide to get the contour of upper edge (we should take in mind that vinyl is thinner than leather material) the real width of leather piece was determined by the strip of leather (same material) min17:45 to 18:00 Hope it helps.
+Cechaflo Thank you! I'm from Poland, so I have to find equivalent product. It shouldn't be a problem :) Thank you for other tips also! Looking forward for next videos!
This is great! Is there a reason you don't offset the lockstitch a half step on one side? I prefer the resulting pattern from that style, but it might be weaker or have some downside I'm not aware of? Thank you
Amazing i love it. Thank you for this free lesson This will be my 1st leather upholstery piece, I would like to stamp it after with "Cechaflo" , but I wont because that's your name an the quality wont be at Cechaflo level lol .. it would actually be a really nice logo name.

I need to recover a shifter knob I can't replace. It is a round knob with a bit of tear drop end. An 85 Camaro automatic style so it has a center button on top. Do you have a video to show something like that? Should I make 2 parts and see them together? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Have driven my car for 15 years and would like to keep the knob :) it is cracked and I want to save it. Thank you!
Mexico is a nice place .. I will send u a picture of my old Steering wheel Raid.. Plz u tell me if it can be repaired wiz Leather. . Thank I really appreciate ur work n this has motivated me for future projects. .
I have used polyester thread 138 size. I am located in Mexico and buy it from local suppliers. If you are in USA: www.thethreadexchange.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=polyester-thread-138
What kind of sewing machine did you use there? It looks very good. On the contrary, I would suggest you to think into your abablility to make up a drawing-like figure of what you are doing. There is a lot of unnessery handling doing your work (I could help you with that, probably). Very good to see handcraft thoo. Keep up working!
+Arild Olsen I have used an industrial Pfaff 1245-706 sewing machine. These free related videos are a kind of training, very useful for the beginners who would be eager to learn how to leather-wrap a steering wheel. Thanks for watching!
I am helping my son restore a 47 Plymouth seat with spring s there wrapped in burlap do you recommend I do the same or is there something else that I can pick up on ?help!. really like your Vidios. Herman,
Check if the 'burlap' is still in good condition. I'd recommend to put on a new one...those 'burlap sacks' are good and it should be hog ringed to the frame and springs over. Then it comes the 'padding' and to get a smoother and more even surface you could cover it with a layer of 1/2" of an inch foam.
you can get good upholstery threads at any good sewing location, or at a local repair shop. It is heavier like some crochet threads so you have an idea of weight. Usually 3 ply bonded Nylon is the common thread size, which seems to be what he is using here. Here is a link for you! www.superiorthreads.com/product/application/upholstery-thread/
Sorry Chris for delay in answering...I didn't see the comment. Thanks, Vicki for your reply and sharing of the link. For the Euro stitches as the one of the video I use a polyester thread number zero...I think it corresponds to number 207 in USA...this thread size is also useful as decorative on 'double stitches/french seams'. Check this other link:www.thethreadexchange.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TTE&Category_Code=polyester-thread

I used a 'black pen' to mark on the wrong side of leather material. To mark on the right surface of leather I used an 'erasable waxed black pencil'. The arrows on top were marked with a white waxed pencil.
Does anyone know what size thread he is using in the video, I don't recall him mentioning it, also where to get said thread? Love the vid by the way, inspired me to make my own!
The thread is polyester number 'zero' here in Mexico. I think it corresponds to 138 in USA www.thethreadexchange.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=polyester-thread-138
Watch min three:05 of attached video to have a better idea. What you have to do is pull remove the cover of backrest. I mean pull the 'backrest in vinyl or leather cover' upwards to let one of your hands in to touch and press the 'plastic guide points' to let it free while pushing upwards.th-cam.com/video/9_LbjyLa9Lo/w-d-xo.html
It is possible to remove it if you insert a thin metallic conical tube into the plastic guide until touching its ends trying to join them while pulling it upwards

1:27 You first have to keep it under the hot water tap, so the material expands, that's no secret ... ;))
Thanks for sharing the tip! It makes sense.

The glue that you use well withstand the temperature? Are there analogs to this glue?
Most of these yellow glues after drying hard, withstand the temperature (hot or cold).

Palmas pra você!!!!!!!!!
+Elivanelima Maria Muchas gracias! ...estos comentarios positivos me animan a subir mas videos!
What size of thread do you use on your stitches?
you can get good upholstery threads at any good sewing location, or at a local repair shop.

+MohaMMed Dahhou Thank you very much for appreciating my job!

is that white pencil a normal cloth marker please?
I used a 'black pen' to mark on the wrong side of leather material. To mark on the right surface of leather I used an 'erasable waxed black pencil'. The arrows on top were marked with a white waxed pencil.
This time I used stretchy upholstery vinyl.
What glue is that being used?

The thread is polyester number 'zero' here in Mexico. I think it corresponds to 138 in USA

@Cechaflo can you tell me how i can remove this plastic ? imgur.com/a/dPxZ7
Thank you very much ! I will try to remove that without removing the leather , i just want to paint it.Now i know what is inside :)
It is possible to remove it if you insert a thin metallic conical tube into the plastic guide until touching its ends trying to join them while pulling it upwards
Awesome
Thanks for kind remark!
