Ive always been interested in, and loved Bonsai.. I had quite a few that I lost (didnt survive) after a few moves early on in life.. Never started again
You know that each and every one of these are old. The time and attention to detail that has been put into creating these masterpieces is well thought out. These are absolutely incredible would seriously like to know the age of these and the methods used to make these into what they currently are.
@@Fragi Obviously because they are nice looking trees that people spent a long time working on them. So no I wouldn’t destroy them like you probably would!
I love Bonsai, this is a magnificent collection, it makes me think of my recently departed mother, she loved Bonsai and everything Oriental, she taught me, her eldest child and daughter so much. She was like a built in best friend, because I was born 7 days after her 20th birthday, we grew up together. I miss her constantly.❤
WOW. Fantastic expo/exhibit. What a fantastic multi-row display in video. *Time, patience, and dedication to grow and maintain these. **Part of ancient Japanese bushido training. ***Everyone in the world should strive to create a safe environment, and grow one of these for 10 yrs. ****It would make each and everyone of us a better person.! My mother donated a 4-ft tall 60 yr old Jade bonsai tree that we had in Southern California in our house, growing up. It went to the St. Paul conservatory and part of it went to a garden in Seattle, WA. (They were both started 1970.)
all of them are simply magnificent, hard to choose, however the most touched me a tree with the "stone root", looks like a piece of mountain where tree start to grown from it. Abolutelly piece of art my nr 1 ( 0:55)
Reminds me of sage brush, they take 50 years to get to the size of a bonsai and 100 years to fully mature and they look like little trees ! They are endangered in the wild so If you want to grow something similar to bonsai that is more low maintenance and at the same time help the environment you can raise baby sage brush and send them off to be planted in their natural habitat once they get old enough .
It is a strikingly elegant and beautiful presentation of plants. It is a high end form of art that everyone can see. It's ancient but lively. From design, to training, and keeping, a bonsai is a treasure that takes many years to form and last hundreds of years. It is a celebration of plant life and human life. Bonsai was developed in ancient China when China had the best economy. Neighbor Japan has been a keen learner who inherited a lot of China's high end heritages. Then China collapsed. The stable economy of Japan ensures such a sophisticated form of art is preserved. Then through friendship with the USA, the art and skill spread into the West, and is appreciated by many more people.
My new favorite hobby, is taking sacred trees, and making an air layering from them. Then, they're put into a terrarium to provide nutrients water and light And time is fast forwarded, using an electromagnetic field.. so the tree becomes a thousand years old in an instant... Can't wait to see those around. They're grown in space by the way.
Ryan Niel has, in my opinion, changed bonsai for the better since starting his garden Mirai. With his online Mirai Live platform (that i was able to be a part of since 2018, started it in 2017), he revolutionized the hobby in so many ways and now with his app, has once again revolutionized the way in which we can practice our hobby at the highest level no matter who you are, where you live, or finances. The bonsai hobby is not cheap, but even someone in ny shoes that live paycheck to paycheck, can very much enjoy this beautiful artform and do it at the highest level I can, and thanks to Ryan and his awesome team at Bonsai Mirai, my trees have truly elevated in the last 6 years to a point i never thought possible. Very much looking forward to seeing what Ryan does at the trophy next year. It can only be extraordinary!!!
First one I've missed since 2015, looks like it was a great exhibition. Thanks for getting this out so fast as always Oscar. I bet you were editing this in your hotel room. 😆
These trees are so beautiful. I wish you -or they- had noted how old each specimen was and weather it was trained and miniaturized from a normal tree or collected already stunted.
I'm awestruck by all these beautiful bonsai! The judges have a hard job 😮
The ones that look like a little forest with multiple trees, is amazing
Yes the forests are stunning!!
One was I think a quaking aspen and they actually are 1 entity but look like several trees. I was so impressed that got the right
That was my favourite. I love trees.
Take mushrooms and spend the night under some giant Sequoia. I am 53, that was 30 years ago, and life changing.
@christinamainoli3033 The largest living organism on earth is a stretch of Quaking Aspen in Fish Lake National Forest. Sevier County, Utah.
I respect the art of Bonsai tree 🌳 artist. They really pay attention to detail.
Absolutely right! Did you have a favorite? :)
I do! It’s the Juniper, because of its stunning tree trunk :)
The trees with naked branches are stunning. So beautiful.
I can't begin to know how to judge these. It's clear that much love and dedication was invested in each of these.
Ive always been interested in, and loved Bonsai.. I had quite a few that I lost (didnt survive) after a few moves early on in life.. Never started again
It is exhilarating how beautiful these creatures are
i am just so absolutely stunned. i was left gasping out loud at so many of them. such beauty. thank you very much

Beautiful! Wonderful exhibition!
These are beauitful bonsai..It takes years and years to master these large scale . Thank you. Very expensive to say the least.
Diese Bäume sah ich am 17.02.24 in Gent. Mir hat es besonders die Betula Pendula, Yamadori angetan. Selten so eine tolle Birke gesehen. ❤

The only thing missing is a narrative of the facts about these beautiful trees.type,age,etc.
each tree is a individual of its species, beautiful
Wow it's like a tangible piece of your very own fairy tale setting.
Stunning selection of trees. Bravo!
Truly amazing ! Wish I could see them in person, but since the video is very well made, we can still appreciate their beauty
All are beautiful, years of hard work
This art form just blows me away
Ini baru seni, seni itu gak berpatokan dengan akar pohon aja, tapi bagai mana seniman mempresentasikan karyanya di pohon dengan bebas
Does anyone else imagine little stop-motion characters running around these pieces of art?
No but thanks to you i do now❤❤❤❤
They look like trees. But small and we are the giants. Incredible.😮😊
Great Video
Great Show
See you next year again
