Correction* We can see Lucy Thackery again from Hippocratic Oath. Head to Octavio's Ripperdoc Clinic in Rancho Coronado and we can have a conversation with her about how Bertie left NC and she's gone undercover with the name Mia as she still wants to help people. Kinda looks like she's stepping on Octavio's toes in my opinion but hey ho. Also there's a scanner hustle in Coastview which mentions her. I'll try to briefly cover these things in future videos and apologies that they slipped by me here.
@@curtissimmons1085 just came to say this. i accidentaly didnt help one time, when i went to get the best optical cammo from Octavio, i grabbed it first, THEN went to talk to her after i noticed it was Lucy/Mia. and she told him not to help me. was not an issue because i already bought the stuff i wanted XD but if you talked to her first, you might/might not have locked yourself out of the legendary Optical cammo. I'll note Lucy doesn't seem to mind if her patient dies _after_ she's left the room, or better, is already on her way to the car. If you simply must expire every Maelstrom goon you come across, you can quickly nip back into the building and do whatever and she won't care or even notice. Mind you, it's arguably crueler for that guy to wake up on the operating table as the _only_ living soul in a building filled with (ex-)chooms with fried cyberware, missing heads, etc.

I figure killing the dad and not the son would be a bad idea since the son would carry on the father's work. I killed his son in front of him to give him a taste of his own medicine and left him alive to suffer the grief of it. Death seems too kind for him. There's no dialogue to go with it but in my head canon V makes it clear that he'll be watched and any attempt to start up business again would lead to a fate worse than death for him... Given the nature of his work, I think his own imagination would be worse than anything we could threaten him with. It depends though, sometimes V doesn't have the patience for precise moral calculations and just chops them both to bits. You can also imagine that after being busted by V that the father would have a huge target on his head. I like to think that his previous business partners might take better care of him than V would, in a manner of speaking. They'd definitely be interested in taking him out knowing that his infobanks have been hacked and they'd have all sorts of incriminating evidence.
A little note about Scrolls Before Swine. That apartment the cop is in? It's actually the same apartment that used to belong to Pilar and Rebecca a full year before the game in Edgerunners.
Occupational Hazard: I always imagine that I don't kill Anna Knox, just incapacitate her, and that her fellow Mox is just assuming I killed her. She is busy trying to not die, afterall.
There are actually two back ways out in Flight of the Cheetah. One is close to Hwangbo's appartment and the other is at the middle of the L shape and has one Tyger Claw guard. A male V is named "Furious Lion". In "Many ways to Skin a Cat" you can enter by the roof through leaping on to some pipes across the street. It's easy with the rare Fortified ankles and still possible but more difficult with Reinforced Tendons. I don't think you can do it without Leg cyberware. Max Jones is tied to two NCPD encounters. The most prominent is in the Northeastern Watson; a homeless encampment got wiped out by an Arasaka killteam after someone tried getting information to Max. The other is in Little China, or maybe Kabuki, I'm not sure about the border presicely, a shopkeeper talked to Max and three Tyger Claws got hired to silence him. It would be a nice connection if the one who sent Max the email that started him down his path was the vet who went cyberpsycho up on the bridge. According to the messages on the computer, he was doing pretty well while he was on his meds. It makes sense that he might want to get the story out about how the vets were treated.

In Monster Hunt there’s a reference to Dirty Biz. If you go stealth on the top floor Jatoro will be with 2 TGs. When he leaves they gossip talking about how he was involved in trying to make a deal with Malestrom to have Gottfried edit the BDs he scrolls. One of them says “why? We have our own tuners” to which the other replies “it’s this guy Gottfried the stuff he puts out is crazy”.
You can see Lucy again, she will work for a ripperdoc somewhere... I'm usually not good in remembering things, so I was suprised that I had a dilogue with someone I met before when I forgot who she was directly after the mission...
Oh my God, I totally remember the old red faction games! I remember in the second one they're being this rail gun that could shoot through walls, you got that and you pretty much could own the game
Yeah, you're totally correct with 2137 being a polish "funny number" like 420 or 69 and explained the meme's origin. But the Polish memes about the pope are a huge rabbit hole and they've been going strong for many many years. When I've seen that in cyberpunk i was also wondering if that's reference to cenzopapa
I think the unknown veteran is at the newspaper kiosk/NCPD scanner job in an alley near the tiger claw gym at SW Watson where they keep that boxer dude hostage. He was already murdered by tiger claw goons when V showed up.
the Hippocratic oath gig. personally I just went along with her request since I considered it better to have someone cooperative that willing to listen to orders when thing's hit the fan vs possibility of betrayal. plus I was already planning on killing the "patient" as soon the doc was safe. sadly though the game pretty much have the guy despawn when I immediately back track to put a bullet in his head, so overall I'm slightly annoyed about that.
I managed to do non-lethal in Occupational Hazard, you can loot her after but won't be able to pick her up. And the dialogue with injured mox will skip "she's dead, I know, I'm still connected" but that's it. The end result will be the same as lethal takedown.
During the first gig basically whole Tyger Claws crew rushed outside to the street to combat me as I've just been driving around. Had to kill them all, almost died but then I found the whole area completely empty and it clicked in together in my head :D
I always found it super easy to just sneak up on the Cyberpsycho for occupational hazzard and either choking her out or breaking her neck... think I fought her straight up once just to do it lol.
Yeah Hippocratic Oath made me angry as well... We can't even justify the decision to not save him, we just have to listen to how evil we are and have V say something edgy. This would have been a great opportunity to sneak in the moral dilemma, have V tell her that if we help her save him we are kinda complicit in the murders he will commit and have her tell us that it's not for her to decide who deserves to live would be so so much better. But that's a big problem with a lot of gigs, some are kinda like side quests and some are just absolute filler content.
That would still break the hippocratic oath. But the dialogue should definitely be different if V choses to not help or kill the guy, since V isn't a physician.
for Dirty Biz you can go there and get the BD before you get the mission. Oh and you really missed out on the best part of Occupational Hazard. Wait until you are level 50 then save before you kill the cyberpsycho. If you load the save enough you will cycle through legendary drops with unique options like a db2-Satara with a 50% charge time reduction. you have to load the save many times and you can get a Zhao which will track without the smart implant.
Occupational Hazard actually does have checks in the files that would allow you to get a separate phone call form Regina dependant of whether you killed the psycho or not. The issue is that these options were likely cut completely, no dialog was recorded. About the mox upstairs - her voice line depends on a game fact that gets assigned if the cyberpsycho is killed. It's likely just a mistake, because the game assumes that the character is killed regardless if she's incapacitated, non-lethaly defeated in combat or straight up killed. I fixed this bug in my mod and added additional phone messages from Regina that'd pop up if you spared the mox.
Oh Hippocratic Oath you said we never have to see Lucy Thackery again, but you do see her again at the ripper in Santo Domingo. Maybe that is only if you help her save the guy. I am not sure.
@@SamBram You can kind of keep it. As long as you do not drive it into the mission slot that locks it in place it will be free to drive after the cheetah gone. it also appears to be permanent as it still in the garage every time I return. It of course is not listed as owned and any damage sustained is permanent so it will eventually blow up if you use it too much. Oh well.
Those two XBDers always die in my playthroughs. Fingers too, but them especially. I just wish you could berate them and make them suffer more. Oh, and yes, every single Malestromer in that building dies too, knowing full well I'm there. There is no stealth. There is no hiding. There is only retribution, having come to claim their worthless souls.
I decided to help Lucy cause it felt more like she was passionate about the work she was doing rather than who she was working on also fun fact there's a conversation on Judy's computer between her and Lucy in regards to rehabilitating Evelyn
There's an NCPD side hustle that gives you who the email is from that started Max's investigation. Guy running a magazine stand in a China Town Alley in Watson.
Man this guy gets mad about a fictional story of a real industry that profits way more than it should But none of us are gonna do anything about the real version
Thanks for another great video, looking forward to the whole series. Have you tried the mod Fixer's Hidden Gems? B@d is named in a few of the shards Regina sends you looking for. might be useful for your eventual B@d lore video (hint, hint).
i appreciate the frustration at the hippocractic oath one, i did the same because i hate maelstrom but i think she took the title of the gig too far, maybe if i was a doctor i'd get it but also most people irl doctors save aren't part of insane murderous gangs
Somewhere in Pacifica Lucy Thackery is actually mentioned, Not sure what happened but I remember seeing an archived conversation with her and another woman.
in all my play through, stealth is never an option with the scavs or maelstrom. They had to know terror and helplessness at the face of a walking tank with a handheld railgun via full carnage/tech build V
Ngl, my first instinct in Hypocritic Oath was to shoot the patient in the head, and my justification was "Im gonna kill all the gangoons in this game". That was before I found out you couldnt start shit with the Mox, and they are pretty chill besides.
First gig I did in the game, raced in the back without dialogue and killed the guy with a sniper rifle, lucy stuck in place forever, first game glitch discovered
Gotta be honest. The theme of why you shouldnt have killed that maelstrom, is the name of a quest. Hippocratic oath. Shes a doctor. She has a obligation to help out whomever. Even if its a ganger like maelstrom. I understand where she was coming from.
Bartmoss kept himself alive in the freezer and connected. At least until a piece of hardware that was keeping him alive inside malfunctioned and he just died.
The most hypocritical (and least Hippocratical) part about Lucy is that, if you kill or "kill" Hans, she will later try to convince the ripperdoc at her new clinic to deny V medical aid of any kind. Based on her response to "I'm just doing my job", she seems to have a specific bias against mercs.
The dirty biz gig I already knew what they were doing before I did the gig and I usually do missions stealthily but for this one I just wanted to put hands on everyone I got my gorilla arms out and just went full Doom Slayer on everyone in the building
I know thiz is months after you made this thing, but I thought I'd mention that there's i terminal entry in Occupation Hazard that heavily implies that the scroll that sent the Mox over the edge is a recording of the torture that Evylelyn Parker went through at the Scav hideout you rescue her from. No idea if that message is there if you do the job before The Heist...
I don't think Wakako is the most morally sound person either. You're totally right, it's a very morally grey game which is great! Personally I find the idea of these two sitting there day after day tweaking the experiences of people who were actually murdered or worse, and approaching it with such a detached and uncaring attitude, to be very disturbing and sickening
@Sam Bram i don't know if i can blame some in night city for being detached. You as V can tell a cyberpsycho who wants to kill the mayor to go ahead as long as he gives you what you want. Apathy is a major theme of the genre itself. It's all about survival at any costs. Every fixer benefits from dirty business (pun not intended) and we contribute and benefit from it too. In the grand scheme of things they haven't killed anyone themselves which makes them better than almost every bad guy in the game. Just my opinion
Not a gig, but i think in this area there's a sidejob where you help a buddhist monk that was forcibly chipped by Maelstorm gangers save his brother from the same fate. This single mission made me so disgusted by Maelstorm that now in every play through I make it my absolute mission to execute any maelstorm member I see on sight.

They're super informative and help to become more immersed in the world. These connections are wildly creative and well put-together. I am impressed. Can't wait for the sequel.
I would advise people not to thoroughly spoil every gig before starting the game. The game is a keeper and you'll definitely wish you could get that first run virginity back. Take it all in, become immersed and let the game blow ur sox off instead of the youtuber (no offense). THen come back here and see what you missed.
@@JS-xu1so Actually, you're right. You're completely right. Fair enough.
Thanks for all your work
Thank you for watching!
Holy shit, exactly what I wanted. Thanks choom, I'll binge these videos now.
Also, if you go to Dino's bar later after the corrupt cop mission, you can find Aaron there if you let him live...
Brilliant series, thank you 👍👍👍
Greatly appreciated. Thank you John!
Another amazing vid ☝️
Side note on Hippocratic Oath… you find Lucy working for a ripper doc later in the game. Down southwest on the map
I get some sort of pleasure killing Freddy in Dirty Biz.
I appreciate the split between kabuki and Northside being defined as different areas even though they are both up in Watson :)
These videos are just really nice and enjoyable
Thanks, glad you think so!
During the first gig basically whole Tyger Claws crew rushed outside to the street to combat me as I've just been driving around. Had to kill them all, almost died but then I found the whole area completely empty and it clicked in together in my head :D
Lucy appears again in Octavios's clinic... At least, she did in my game.
I always found it super easy to just sneak up on the Cyberpsycho for occupational hazzard and either choking her out or breaking her neck... think I fought her straight up once just to do it lol.
After the Hipporcatic Oath quest you can see the doctor again. If you didn't help her back then she'll call you a murderer.
But the dialogue should definitely be different if V choses to not help or kill the guy, since V isn't a physician.
but there's really no point in standing around debating morality with the target you were sent to rescue
for Dirty Biz you can go there and get the BD before you get the mission.
That's crazy I ran across the freezer yesterday on accident out in the Badlands and now I just now did that gig early this morning ,
Yeah, you're right with 2137. That's old meme in Poland.
Shoot Lucy, save Maelstrom goon, get ice cream
"Don't worry Regina, I saved Hans!"
I never checked the footage with Aaron so I thought he was pretty chill. I have 700 hours in this game and I still learn new stuff.
I always pop the guys son in dirty biz
Why don’t we get to keep Cheetah’s car?
Ikr! I like the colour
Oh well.
You do absolutely "keep" it like the other guy said. I used it for half the game after that, and then gave it a ceremonial farewell and burial at sea.
So that drone attack me because of that MOX cyberpyco guy
OMG
If you sneak in through the roof in the occupational hazard gig you can do a stealth takedown to skip the cyberpsycho
You actually get to see Lucy again, a few days later, working with the Santo Domingo ripper, changed her name to Mia, but she recognizes you
I snuck up on Ana non lethally as well. I agree there are instances where they should have put dialogue to send Cyberpsychosis to Regina.
"You failed to help him thats Murder!"
Me:"no, at most its failure to render aid."
"that's murder"
Says the Ripperdoc
Who's supposed to be able to completely avoid this situation
Man this guy gets mad about a fictional story of a real industry that profits way more than it should
But none of us are gonna do anything about the real version
Scrolls before swine: the apartment of the corrupt cop is also Rebecca's apartment from Edge Runners
This game is really deep and I love it I feel like Nick Valentine from fallout 4
You should’ve been able to keep the car in the cheetah gig lol 😂
Hippocratic oath work around is to save maelstrom member, get out, then go straight back and deal with him
Somewhere in Pacifica Lucy Thackery is actually mentioned, Not sure what happened but I remember seeing an archived conversation with her and another woman.
God, it would be awesome if we could destroy the whole building Red Faction-style in Dirty Biz. More games should have destructible buildings.
in all my play through, stealth is never an option with the scavs or maelstrom.
"Hypocritic" Oath is right. 🤣
First gig I did in the game, raced in the back without dialogue and killed the guy with a sniper rifle, lucy stuck in place forever, first game glitch discovered
Scrolls Before Swine - Aaron lives in the house of Rebecca and Pilar from the Edgerunners series.
Love these videos.
you find out more n more thru these quests Garry AINT as crazy as he sounds
The most hypocritical (and least Hippocratical) part about Lucy is that, if you kill or "kill" Hans, she will later try to convince the ripperdoc at her new clinic to deny V medical aid of any kind. Based on her response to "I'm just doing my job", she seems to have a specific bias against mercs.
The dirty biz gig I already knew what they were doing before I did the gig and I usually do missions stealthily but for this one I just wanted to put hands on everyone I got my gorilla arms out and just went full Doom Slayer on everyone in the building
me who typically goes through Hippocratic Oath non-lethally and saves the dude: 👁👄👁
25:52 Maybe she actually went cyber psycho because he used star wipes for every transition.😂
There are some people I intentionally take alive because i assume you are sending them to be delt with by who ever hired you. Jotaro is one of them.
Occupational Hazard, Should have an option as an extra cyber psycho if you non leathal her. Regina did send you there and she a cyber psycho.
Are the father and son from dity biz any worse than Wakako? She sold Evelyn to the scavs. Morality isn't so clear in this game
Shame you can’t kill Wakako. She’s the only fixer I’d murder in a heartbeat.
The difference between sending an order or pushing a button to kill thousands of people in war, or going out with a sword and doing it by hand.
Great series, especially for people like me, who are to lazy to read the shards
Not a gig, but i think in this area there's a sidejob where you help a buddhist monk that was forcibly chipped by Maelstorm gangers save his brother from the same fate. This single mission made me so disgusted by Maelstorm that now in every play through I make it my absolute mission to execute any maelstorm member I see on sight.
You run into Aaron again later. I think he is hanging out at the bar Dino is located at.
