Solid takes; I think Isaiah Williams will be a diamond in the rough, though. Trick plays, returning, YAC, etc. with breakout potential toward the middle/end of the year or year 2.

Im very excited to see 2 tight end sets with Laporta and zylstra when the lions get inside opponents 40. Last year people were talking about Barnes barely making the team and iffy being cut. I argued with everyone that they will show up. Both brought something special that the position group lacked. This year its Levi O and Shane zylstra who will inpress and play themselves into far more playing time than expected. I expect the lions to keep just 5 receivers and do 4 tight ends instead of 6 receivers and 3 TE

The WR corps is a bit weak. But there are only so many balls to go around. Gibbs and LaPorta end up playing WR in the Lions scheme. That's why the Lions kept Brock Wright to allow LaPorta to flex in his position. I would love to see the Lions upgrade WR but I don't think they HAVE to.

They kept Brock because Dan loves his tight ends and they run a lot of 2 TE sets.

They only need to keep 5 WR.

I say the same. 5 receivers and 4 tight ends instead of 6 and 3. It does depend on how front office feels practice shakes out. If zylstra won't get poached then send him down and keep Smith from saints
