And Post Malone is still weird imo, but different. He’s at least a magic-playing personality that is well known for playing the game and owning the most expensive card.
Post Malone I don’t mind because as you mentioned, he has been vocal and consistent in his love for D&D and Magic, and has been great for the game, and actually plays. I don’t doubt that Taylor Swift COULD be great at Magic if she wanted to be but I’m highly skeptical she’s even heard of the game, let alone has any opinion on it or support of it.

I honestly wish more people would just give up Arena and move to Magic Online. Arena just sucks. It has like 10% of the cards MTGO does, no commander, no modern, the matchmaking sucks and the rewards are friggin terrible. It's crazy to me that Arena has the audacity to offer random uncommons as rewards for winning games in some draft or whatever. Like whats the difference between getting like a single uncommon from a recent set and just getting nothing at all? MTGO has nearly every card ever printed, all the formats, you choose who you wanna play, no "hell queue" and none of this scammy crap trying to force you to spend more money.

I sold my collection about 5 years ago and now the only time I ever play MTG is with a couple of friends on Tabletop Simulator. Taylor Swift Secret Lair will make me drop this game entirely to be honest... (I'm already moved to Flesh and Blood, and anime TCGs like One Piece and Grand Archive mostly).
The Mayhem Devil art style is cool, looks inspired by old European art of the devil, from various books and other depictions of the medieval time. And the Dark Ritual kinda reminds me of Cult of the Lamb art style.
I miss the secret lairs that were just amazing art. The ones that require my small brain to hunt for specifics of the card, well... small brain no likey.
Taylor Swift is an awesome artist, great music. I am just not a fan of all of this divergent artwork, the game feels much less like magic now. I don't know why they choose these routes. The game used to be so pleasing to the eye, something truly magic. Everything feels and looks cheaper, but it is not cheaper either, the art is now inconsistent. I don't think it helps the game in any way, especially as time goes on, it is convoluted. I love this game but what has happened is not easy to love, sometimes they do it right, most often it just looks bad, or is hard to tell what the card is. It does not affect me much, I rarely get to play but still, wish the game had not sold out, not fortnited. That being said I was always in favor of variants and promos, in the minimal sense of the old game, just not the overload. I love when a good card has value, but now that card has variants of more value, it is not satisfying to pull a good card then look it up anymore, to see the others in comparison. Obviously a good card is a good card, it just feels bad, I miss the classic experience. For example I kind of love the Breaking News cards of Thunder Junction, but hate variants stacked upon variants, those feel right though, great for reprints and giving players something else, but why muddle the mixture further?
I didn't know I couldn't spend those tickets without a mastery pass thing. I've been saving them up cause I couldn't decide what to get. I guess I don't have to decide now.
Got a ton of tickets thought that I could get some neat cosmetics for free realized I couldn't stopped playing after lol, I don't spend money in games.

First they ask to see how many people are interested. They could not care less about who doesn't want it. If there's enough interest, they'll go for it. TS is popular enough to probably get millions of shares on that tweet, so I wouldn't put it past wotc.
I will say about the arena thing when thinking about it they probably just can't do two mastery passes at the same time. Now they should charge a lot less no doubt about that or get more in value because the value just isn't there and that's a giving but I can understand why they didn't just do a pass because we're still in a mastery pass for otj
I f'd up on the frog, two things, usually I do pay for the mastery pass before it comes out with the deal, because I've been doing that for awhile I figured it would be fine to buy the frog upfront, I mean I play enough. I wasn't sure how it worked, I could have looked it up but I didn't realize you didn't need the pass to get the currency, I figured it was just a shorter special mastery pass for this set, draft token, some packs and some mythics I figured it was probably worth it's cost but it sounds like I got fleeced. Eesh Edit: The draw for this for me was the mythics from the set, they're worth more than packs or mythics on mastery because they're usually bad but most mythics in this set are worth having. I'm still disappointed that it's such bad value, figured it was going to be equivalent to master but it's like twice as expensive or half as valuable

The Mayhem Devil art style is cool, looks inspired by old European art of the devil, from various books and other depictions of the medieval time.
And the Dark Ritual kinda reminds me of Cult of the Lamb art style.

I miss the secret lairs that were just amazing art. The ones that require my small brain to hunt for specifics of the card, well... small brain no likey.

Taylor Swift is an awesome artist, great music. I am just not a fan of all of this divergent artwork, the game feels much less like magic now. I don't know why they choose these routes. The game used to be so pleasing to the eye, something truly magic. Everything feels and looks cheaper, but it is not cheaper either, the art is now inconsistent. I don't think it helps the game in any way, especially as time goes on, it is convoluted. I love this game but what has happened is not easy to love, sometimes they do it right, most often it just looks bad, or is hard to tell what the card is. It does not affect me much, I rarely get to play but still, wish the game had not sold out, not fortnited. That being said I was always in favor of variants and promos, in the minimal sense of the old game, just not the overload. I love when a good card has value, but now that card has variants of more value, it is not satisfying to pull a good card then look it up anymore, to see the others in comparison. Obviously a good card is a good card, it just feels bad, I miss the classic experience. For example I kind of love the Breaking News cards of Thunder Junction, but hate variants stacked upon variants, those feel right though, great for reprints and giving players something else, but why muddle the mixture further?

I will say about the arena thing when thinking about it they probably just can't do two mastery passes at the same time. Now they should charge a lot less no doubt about that or get more in value because the value just isn't there and that's a giving but I can understand why they didn't just do a pass because we're still in a mastery pass for otj
I f'd up on the frog, two things, usually I do pay for the mastery pass before it comes out with the deal, because I've been doing that for awhile I figured it would be fine to buy the frog upfront, I mean I play enough. I wasn't sure how it worked, I could have looked it up but I didn't realize you didn't need the pass to get the currency, I figured it was just a shorter special mastery pass for this set, draft token, some packs and some mythics I figured it was probably worth it's cost but it sounds like I got fleeced. Eesh
Edit: The draw for this for me was the mythics from the set, they're worth more than packs or mythics on mastery because they're usually bad but most mythics in this set are worth having. I'm still disappointed that it's such bad value, figured it was going to be equivalent to master but it's like twice as expensive or half as valuable
