Hi GEOFF.. First chance I've had today..... 11pm to watch you.. Mr Oliver has just come in... So fed him now watching you.. Lovely different recipe for scones... Thankyou... @ Goodnight ,, I will have lovely baking dreams tonight 👍⭐🙏🎊🥖🥯🧇🫓🥐🥨🥯🥞🧇
I've been enjoying your scone recipes a lot, Geoff. It's rare that we have them here in Southeast Asia, but my family and friends are scone lovers now.
Hi Geoff, I’m going to make these scones today! I’m getting over a head cold. Couldn’t smell or taste a thing. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to "taste" Christmas! They started to come back last night. Even better today! I shall enjoy a scone and a cup of tea this afternoon! Perfect timing for your recipe! 😋😊🎅🏻🎄❄️☃️
Geoff to the rescue! I have so much baking between now and Christmas day that this will be perfect for Christmas morning! I was just wondering if you have a video showing how to make homemade candied peel, because here in the States it’s so hard to find a really good mixed peel that isn’t waxy and fake tasting. If you didn’t do a video on it, maybe it’s something to think about to share with us in the future. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 👍🏼🎄🎊
Hi NavyVetGrl. I didn't do a video of making the mixed peel. In fact I made the lemon and orange separately. They have a much better texture than the shop bought version here in the UK. The process is a long one, or at least how it did it is. For each type it took 10 days. However a lovely by-product is a sort of homemade golden syrup too. I used the method shown in this video, which I am sure would be wonderful in Panettone: th-cam.com/video/wLTBZMhzyxg/w-d-xo.html

Looks just perfect.
HI Spiderbirdie. Thanks very much.
