- After leaving Kyoto, I headed for Takamatsu, one of the biggest cities in Shikoku, making a brief along the way at Okayama.
My trip today would finally land me at Shikoku, the 'Real Japan', what does it look like? Is it different from Tokyo or Osaka or any other major city in Japan? Let's find out!

Without a doubt the best Japan vlog series on TH-cam
I apreciate you including your misadventure on the wrong train at the start. It makes the series feel much more relatable and genuine; it's not another glossy, perfect travel blog.
Wow- I love how you describe your itinerary, I feel like I am reading a book
sugoi indeed
appreciate your trip blog, feels like we are there with you with all the misadventures!
Man needs to do more travel videos...Funny and relatable. All the best!
Love the description; it's as if listening to Joker in Full Metal Jacket - Avant Guard!
It's the best vlog I've seen on TH-cam. That's the only type of Japan travel I want to have. Thank you, man.
"Sugoi ma'am sugoi indeed" had me laughing 😂❤
Just stumbled on your videos and am very impressed. But I was laughing when you talked about the difficulties of countyside travel even with all of today’s technology. Just imagine the difficulties of traveling pre internet 😂 traveling today is the easiest it’s ever been 🙏
Just the right amount is the only phrase i can thing of your vlog.
Another nice one. I like your style. Do you write and record your narration first, and then cut the video to it? Also: Shikoku is the bomb. The next time I go, I'm spending a lot of time there. I did a 14 day rail pass, and it was crazy at times, but I definitely saw some very rural out of the way places. Japan is getting so over-touristed that it's worth seeking out different destinations there.
"Well, it's raw fish."
😂
I like sashimi but I'd probably recoil if I had to eat that amount. Hahaha
Impeccable narration and video quality..
The best content no doubt !!!
Love your videos. Would love to see your take on Tokyo! :)
Your previous videos have been very helpful. Will you do a video on day passes in Tokyo?
Hey, love your vids. What camara are you using?
Hey, thanks. Footage in this video is shot with the Sony rx100vii and A7cii.
SUGOI indeed. If I could bottle the moment I would label it summer.......calm loneliness.......warm bubble populated with people. Poetic and poignant.
is it not cold in feb
im headed to osaka late march, you think cherry blossom season will be insanely busy?
I don't think it will be busy. I KNOW it will be THE busiest time in Japan
@@Will_Zhao hell ya. thanks for these videos man. I feel more prepared as it's my first time out of the country. I'll probably get lost but not as lost thanks to you.
There is no single place that's the "real Japan", anymore than any specific place in the US is the "real US", or China, or...
You might have your own preconception of Japan and a place might reflect that the most, but it's not any more the "real Japan" than any other place in Japan.
You are right, it is indeed my opinion, hence it's 【the 'Real Japan'】in quotation marks.
love ur vid style
