Continually going out of your comfort zone even when you already stand amongst the most recognized chefs in the world is the mark of a true master. Gordon is an inspiration.
There's a lot that's so awesome about this piece: Gordon, for once, being out-cooked by a superior chef and sweating to keep up with him, and maintaining high expectations of himself as he would for any one working under him; the fact that a young kid off the street rose to become a highly placed sous-chef, and for me, the fact that he takes a traditional, simple, common-place dish from the native country that's similar to peanut brittle, and brings it into the royal elite of the same country with an exquisite flair in a place where the elite often eat McDonalds as high end food, as at India.
The humility Gordon shows when addressing others is an excellent model of how to interact with people. Know your strengths, but respect the wisdom and talent others can provide.

Boss: What past culinary experiences do you have?
Teen: Shows video.
Boss: You're hired.
Lmao
This proves that even your the greatest chef, theres no perfect in cooking, still getting that pressure feeling. And your still need to learn new things and get out on your comfort zone..
This man deserves my cookie
Mias Senpai your cookie doesnt deserve to be eaten by him
I'd eat your cookie. ;)
It's amazing how serious he takes all of this. He takes cuisine and culture seriously while holding himself to the same standard he holds others to. Nice. Good stuff.
Nobody is gonna talk about the boy?
I loved the boy
He was so cute
And so happy
I'm so proud of him
Idk why but I really am
Alexandra Windfeather hopefully gordon offered him a job in one of his asian restaurants
kid’s got talent
The kids from the streets and now he's cooking for royalty.

Now let’s pretend a man said that about a girl and not the other way around.
KidRiver i completely agree just because it’s a female saying it about a little boy they shouldn’t be getting likes. Double standards.
No wonder why he is one of the best chefs. Because he know his mistakes and he’s learning his mistakes
At 7:00 Gordon’s sous chef was given water instead of wine😂 I love how they still included him
He looks young. Its common to see young people in Asia go for water instead of cocktails.
Anthony King Medina no I was just saying I loved how they included him even though he was young. :P
That wasn't water it was sparkling water lol
Nick Miller whoops I’m kinda blind😅😂
maybe a rice wine?
I like how even though Ramsey is one of the best chefs in the world he constantly faces new challenges that push his skills to the max
AReallyRealisticGuy :D Ramsay with an A
@@icytrash yes that matter soo much *hidden sarcasm here*
AReallyRealisticGuy :D ok just wanted to know you got it right
How do you think he got to be the best?
this was 5 years agoooo lmao
7:02 the 14-19 year old kid is drinking water while Gordon and the other chef have wine
Respect
Could be vodka xD
It's television.
The Audience is western society most the time, so they try to hide little things like kids drinking alcohol when they can.
He is drinking Sprite or 7-up.
Ain't nothing like seeing world class chef Ramsey sweating and fighting and really showing why he the best even in an unknown place with unknown people
7:01 when you are too young for wine and drink water instead xD
underrated comment
@@og-bv5yt underaged comment haha
I noticed the same XD
Shiit better had been fiji water

It’s weird to see Gordon struggle at cooking

that's normal, just because you're one of the best in your country it'll be the same in other countries.
Princess says 'I would think he's Cambodian, he's better than my personal chef at home' Gordon is the #1 cook
He said his weakest spot is cambodian food bur they all loved it
That's the beautiful thing about Asians: if it got legs but is no chair, swims but is no boat, flies but isn't an airplane... and if it comes with fried rice amd soy sauce... they'll practically eat anything. "Here 'princess', luv, have another grilled spider..."
@@fenriz218 You are grossly ignorant
@@fenriz218
Lumping the Visigoths and the Vikings... how odd. I too, miss the olden days. Blood sacrifice, banging my axe onto a stone wall in futility, dying of the plague... What an experience.
@@brendon1689 Of course China never encountered the plague, right? How odd, considering the chinese reputation for... uhm, "cleanliness". LOL! Besides, Chang, yes: many Germanic tribes were involved and viking isn't something you are, but what you do. You don't "chinese around" either, do you? But while we're dwelling on past glory days... not going to tell me about the gunpowder again?
@@fenriz218
I'm not going to tell you about gunpowder again *here* , but I will tell you about your strawman arguments again. Did I say that the Chinese didn't get the plague? Of course not. It came from good old Mongolia after all. You said "good wholesome barbarism," either seriously or sarcastically. And I replied sarcastically by pointing some other great things about barbarism. Then you somehow arrive at the conclusion that I said that the Chinese didn't have the plague. How humorous.
What makes Gordon great is his humility. I once met an expert in my field of work and the best advice he ever gave me is "The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know." Gordon also embraces this attitude towards his craft and it is what makes him a respected chef throughout the world.
I wouldn't hesistate to say that wherever Gordon goes, the world follows him. Thank you for coming to Cambodia. God bless you and your family, and your career, Gordon.
He’s genuine
I'm glad he went there, not much people know about Cambodia or even hmong
Royalty: Ramsey is really good, way better than the chef I have at home! 🏡
Chef at home: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?
Royalty: Mom I want a chef like Ramsey at home
Mom: we home a chef like Ramsey at home
Chef at home: 🌚
Yes you are.🤣
Its RAMSAY!!!!
compared to Gordon? yes
I mean really it's not a insult. It's blunt, but Gordon is one of the premier chefs in the world.
Gordon Ramsay = Tony Stark
Kid chef = Peter Parker
After drinking the vodka at 7:00, kid chef be like "Mr. Ramsay, I don't feel so good"
it's true. they have the same energy
No
Gordon ramsay = spoiled Tony Stark
Kid chef = younger Peter Parker
There
Keelan the Newgwhyin yea.
The Titel of the real Tony Stark is all read been taken. By the greatest man on earth, Elon Musk. Elon save us ❤️
I love that Gordon knows when he messes up and doesn’t blame it on others. He really is an incredible man
I’m go glad that you visit my country and I appreciated you for your kindness 🙏🏾
Hi random cambodian person.

Gordon: I must not make myself look stupid
Idiot sandwich girl: YeS cHeF

Screw the age, I think the young chef deserves a glass of wine after a hard days work
Don’t poop on the kids party, it’s just one drink for a hard working young man
@BlueKirby Yeah nobody really gives a shit that a 16-17 year old kid has a little wine dude
There's no drinking age in Cambodia.

Oh please!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!
Fucking Nino
Ahahahah NINOOOOOOOOOO
omfg stop it's not fucking funny it never was
vlanstar you’ll never stop Nino you mere mortal.
This guy made a dessert that he learned at the Cambodian village.
Yep. He brought country style food to the city and they loved it.
He was always seen as really critical of other chefs and this shows that he’s also critical of himself, and he’s actually pushing the others even more than himself to have them be the best they can

Nice of Cambodia to allow Gordon to put his talent into work on something so different than what he is used to! Shows how great he is!!!
I have much respect for Gordon travelling and going through the culture of the food of the place he's in. Taking that time to show respect for the place he's cooking in shows his understanding of keeping the purity of cuisine from other places.
What a great human being for letting the kid cook. We support and love you from Cambodia. Thanks for coming!
1:28 is no one gonna talk about how gorgeous this guy’s smile is???
Once in a blue moon I smile like that
that he brought a street kid-student he met days earlier, to assist him before that state's royalty, shows his supreme confidence and mental presence about whats important in life
7:03 I love how he's drinking water.
I love Gordon when he’s worried and nervous. You can tell he lives for this and craves the challenge
True royalty appreciating the cuisine of her own country. We all need a love and pride in our homelands.
It's like seeing what Gordon was like when HE was starting off his career haha.
thats why he is so good. he is actually a celeb chef who actually cooked in restaurants. thats why he always seems to be in a hurry.
No, no, Gordon at the beginning of his career is quiet, QUIET, its *TERRIFYING*
It's heartwarming and humbling seeing Gordon mess up while trying to impress someone else, he's so hard on everyone because he wants to bring out the best in peoples careers
To see Gordon Ramsay nervous and cooking up a storm is a treasure.
It's really endearing seeing Gordan out of his comfort zone really struggling.
This man is so inspirational. He never stops learning, no matter how much success he gets. He's truly amazing.
This was an awesome, realistic video. We see him as a true chef.
That was amazing how he went out of his way to bring that street kid with him and how proud of him he was. That is respect
Literally no one:
Gordon Ramsay: Fokin hell
Gordon made a mistake? The guy shouldve swore at Gordon 😂🤣😂
Wade Sharp that would have been the funniest shit 😂😂
That would have been rather humorous, but he was very chill. Though he did look like he wanted to kill Gordon until everything was all done.
Goddammit you fucking donkey
"For fck's sake Gordon, this should've been set an hour ago!" *Gordon drops the utensils* "I've had enough. Fuck off will you."

Except vegans
He can cook vegan food
Until vegans knew the ingredients was made of meat
I love the sous chef here, I think he's the best and you notice Gordon never once yells at him, because he's on the ball.
Gordon's travel videos are so full of love...for the food, for the people, and from the people back to Gordon. They just make me feel great. Imagine if everyone in the world could relate to each other like this. Thank you Chef!
One of the best feelings for a chef is where you make the customer smile.
Gordon-“so it has to be perfect”
Me-No Gordon, it has to be edible.
Did you miss that he's cooking for royalty? "Edible" isn't going to cut it.
"He's a better cook than my cook"
''Her cook left the chat''
Man, you can tell Ramsay is in love with his work. In love with making food
Continually going out of your comfort zone even when you already stand amongst the most recognized chefs in the world is the mark of a true master. Gordon is an inspiration.
There's a lot that's so awesome about this piece: Gordon, for once, being out-cooked by a superior chef and sweating to keep up with him, and maintaining high expectations of himself as he would for any one working under him; the fact that a young kid off the street rose to become a highly placed sous-chef, and for me, the fact that he takes a traditional, simple, common-place dish from the native country that's similar to peanut brittle, and brings it into the royal elite of the same country with an exquisite flair in a place where the elite often eat McDonalds as high end food, as at India.
there is no mcdonalds in Cambodia
Gordon Ramsay is like the Goku of cooking, hes always level up even further from his original form and transcending the gods
MediumRareSquid lol
dragon ball references everywhere damn
Fucking cringe but I still like the show
And Gordon also yelled a lot
Oh geez
The humility Gordon shows when addressing others is an excellent model of how to interact with people. Know your strengths, but respect the wisdom and talent others can provide.
