    I have the same engine. But after the engine has completely cooled down, the oil level exceeds the maximum level. Is this normal? I'm sure I drained the old oil completely. I added the new oil to 2.6 liters along with the filter. But I did not put oil into the oil filter because it was not written in the user manual.

      Can you lil bit help ? :)

      A little too much oil. Screw off the oil lid, take syringe and put a 20cm long flexible plastic tube on its end and suck the oil out of the engine until oil level is a little below max. Or unscrew the oil drain screw a bit till oil level is normal but that's a bit messier.
      Was your bike upright and on a level surface when you checked? That's also a reason some fuck it up.

      @@meoffjack As you said, I drained the excess engine oil and it reached the required level. But I'm wondering, why did 100-200 ml of oil come out even though I had already added 2.6 liters of oil? Also, I did not put oil in the oil filter when changing the engine oil. This will not cause any problems, right? In the owner's manual, it doesn't say to add engine oil to the filter, it just says to put some oil on the filter.

    Anneal the sump plug washer, make it red hot by flame or cooker ring, drop it in cold water,repeat again...seals better!

      Doesn't this cause micro fractures in the metal? Surely is bad no?

    oil is full syntetich? why u arent using yamalube?

    • @meoffjack
      @meoffjack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Motul 10W40 5000 is semi synthetic oil. When I bought the bike from a very reputable Yamaha Dealer, that's what they used for the first service after 1000km and that's what the bike gets till it dies or gets sold. ;)
      Also I can get Motul oil way cheaper.

      Using Motul 7100 fully synthetic in my Tracer7 (2021).

    Wer die paar Cent spart für ne neuen dichtring sollte lieber kein Motorrad fahren.
    Schreibt man soll Drehmoment wie im Handbuch nutzen und knallt dann die schraube so rein... Genau mein Humor. Das ist der grund warum meine Werkstatt schon mal ne neue Ölwanne kaufen durfte auf deren rechnung. Und seit dem mach ich lieber alles selber. Spart Zeit, Nerven, Geld und vorallen Ärger. Und obs den Laden noch gibt oder nich is mir dann auch egal, dank dem Internet.
