Great question....I can give you a quote with just borrower provided information (credit score, preferred loan program, down payment/loan to value, etc.). But the quote is only valid if that information is accurate and you qualify for the loan. Our best advice is to do a complete pre-approval with the lender you feel most confident in. Once they have verified the information, you can shop with other lenders under the presumption that the information is accurate and validated. Hope this helps!
Hello, we just put in an offer that was accepted. We will most likely close middle of December. Do you have any thoughts on rates and when should start looking to lock?
Unfortunately, election day was the #1 risk to higher rates and we are seeing a big spike today. You've already experienced the worst of it. If you don't want to bite the bullet and lock now, I would keep a very close eye on the 10 year and if 4.50 gives way, you probably need to lock it. I hope this helps!
