11:10 Was Napoleon a Freemason?
16:44 Napoleonic Masons as Prisoners of War
(by Robert M. Walker 32°, April 1964)
This presentation delves into the intriguing history of Freemasonry during the tumultuous era of the Napoleonic Wars, with a focus on the unique role Masons played as prisoners of war. It explores the background to French Freemasonry during the late eighteenth Century, the vexed question of whether Bonaparte himself was a Mason, and finishes with how approximately 200,000 members of the French Army, including Freemasons, were captured and incarcerated in England. Despite the harsh conditions, these Masonic prisoners demonstrated remarkable resilience and brotherhood, establishing lodges even within the confines of prison ships and land prisons. The paper highlights how these lodges functioned as a testament to the Masonic values of fraternity and mutual support, shedding light on a little-known aspect of Masonic history during one of Modern Europe’s defining periods.
A truly exemplary channel! Your work is indeed informative, entertaining and well researched and presented!! I'm a member of our gentle Craft here in El Paso Texas. I'm Chaplain for my blue Lodge and a member of Yorkrite here also. Thank you so much and I look forward to your next presentation!

Greetings Brother. Thanks for the kind words. They make it all worthwhile.
Question for both of you- is this entertainment or education to you?
@@itwillbe-itwillnotbe-itis both! And much fun as well!!
For me it is both. I learn new things in every video I produce - and it's a great hobby as well 😉
I honestly don't know how Freemasons don't question so many aspects surrounding freemasonry. And you can start the questioning from the very beginning of it. There are inconsistencies surrounding when it was founded alone. That only takes a few minutes to figure out. I mean if you read the simplistic story of it, you could pass the story off by saying "Yeah a couple of guys met at a pub that was called the goose and gridiron for a beer, had a few beers and said hey, lets make freemasonry" Then there are those that try and make it sound like its come straight from gods house by saying its origins go back to Solomons temple. No it doesn't. And anything "mason" related refers to someone's skills with their hands. There was nobody running around with cotton gloves, wearing suits and aprons, performing rituals and so on while playing around with rocks. History is full of lies across the board. Look at Albert Pike for example, that guy was nothing short of evil. The confederate racist that was all part of the wicked plan put in place by those that own the money system. He was also behind the creation of the KKK. And they immortalised him in bronze. Yeah thats someone you want to look up to. There was nothing wise about him at all. The American Revolution, the Civil war, that was about the infiltration of America by the international foreign bankers. That battle went backwards and forwards 8 times until they finally achieved their goal and took over America. Freemasons have a lot to learn im sorry to say
Ah, I'm lucky viewer #100. Great video.
that means you are the Chosen one

Highly informative, thank you.
I set it up for the 100th like, let's go!
Good morning,
Is there anything in the Quarries concerning the Chaplain of the Lodge? I'd love to see it!
Thank you!

I’m pretty sure our Grand Lodge today does not recognize French lodges. I’m not sure why but my uncle was a former master mason of NJ, and said it had to do with integration of females in the lodge
Regular lodges uphold the landmarks of Masonry which state that one must be a man, be of good character, and believe in God to be a Mason. Irregular or continental lodges, as their tradition began on the continent of Europe rather than the British isles, admit women and atheists to join. For these reasons regular lodges do not recognize irregular lodges. Regular lodges neither permit irregular Masons to sit in their meetings nor do they permit their members to sit in an irregular lodge meeting. Also, regular Masons may not discuss the passwords, rituals, or modes of recognition with an irregularly made Mason. Irregular grand bodies often refer to themselves as "grand orients" rather than "grand lodges".
Thank you for the information! Adonhiramite greetings!
Fantastic material 👍
Yes!!! Thank you.
Le Petite Commandant was a proud Mason.
they do say you dont have to belong to a lodge to be a mason.
Not true. That would be like saying you don’t have to go to law school to be an attorney.
In the sense where you don't have to be currently attached to, or active in any particular Lodge... sure.
@zachberman9785 you don't...
U just have to be a colonizer who loves $$$$
You don't ! What a SCAM the BAR is, "JUS" another SCAM by the Masonic Squirrels wearing horse hair wigs 😂🤣 I don't need validation from Sycopathic Narcissistic Land Thiefs ! It's called a WIZE DOME junior ! Lawyers/Liars are thiefs bruh ! Keep biting off big chunks of that 💩 sammich 😂🤣
Napoleon was definitely a freemason. One doesnt have to be documented to be a Brother. After all, masonry takes in good men and make us better
What a big joke. Napoleon himself was such.
