Nice memories. Red Holzman was an excellent coach during the Knicks' era as one of the NBA's most dominant teams. He had a good run between 1966-67 and 1973-74.
Red could teach Basketball 101 and so defensive-minded and he had confidence in his team creating their own offensive schemes and it worked since undoubtedly the Knicks were smart, selfless, focused and championship-oriented! I grew up in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn near Marv Albert and I can become a sportscaster because of Marv! I learned so much about the game because of Red and Marv!

@@winnhill3736 No. The Knicks of the early 70’s was a team where the Whole was greater than the sum of its parts. They had great depth on the bench too. Late in the game they could replace 2 or 3 guys , from the starting lineup , and still maintain the same level of play.
