Hey Lah’Nasia! Awesome video. As a Penn alum...I concur that the school spirit at the football games were pretty lame. Although, I did enjoy the atmosphere better for basketball at the Palestra. Especially for a Big 5 game & Ivy League tournament.
Wawa is life! Lmao. I go to school at USF in Florida and we have Wawa everywhere, in florida it's more of a suburban wawa with gas stations, and they're HUGE compared to the ones I've seen in new Jersey. Might be going to UPenn for my MFA, a bit of a reach portfolio wise but it is my first choice and luckily I didn't spend anything on my undergrad degree. So glad theres at least one school on my list with Wawa 🙏🙏 💗😂 ❤️
Hi Lah'Nasia! Ur majoring in psychology right? Besides the why penn essay how do we show passion in that subject? Do we even have to have extracurriculers, etc geared towards that major? Thank u!
Hi! Yes, my major is psychology. I honestly didn't have any other way of showing my passion in the subject besides taking AP psych. I didn't really participate in any psych related clubs or extracurriculars. I honestly think its fine if you don't, as long as you clearly explain why you're interested in it in the essay and interview.
@@LahNasia omg i've never seen anyone who majored in psych at penn!! i really wanna go that to study psych and knowing u r doing that really inspires me
Everyone's experience is so unique and so different. You could probably get a super broad idea of what your experience could look like based on other social psych majors, but it's not exact.
Hi!! So Upenn is the Ivy League university and there are 4 undergraduate schools within it (Wharton, nursing, engineering, and the college). So yes, Wharton is apart of upenn and it is an ivy. Hope this answers your question!
So Penn doesn't offer merit-based or athletic scholarships, instead they offer need-based financial aid. This means that you cannot get a scholarship from Penn for having stellar grades or for being an amazing athlete; you can instead receive grants and funding based on your family's demonstrated financial need. They do, however, offer some named scholarships. I received one that had to do w the fact that I live in South Jersey. There are a bunch of different named scholarships with a bunch of different and random criteria. These are scholarships that you don't apply to, they are just included, or not included, in your financial aid package. There are a couple other types of scholarships that can be included in your package, but I'm not really familiar with them. Here is a link to a website that has more information on them : srfs.upenn.edu/financial-aid/grants-and-scholarships I'd recommend applying to scholarships through your high school and/or visiting your guidance counselor to find out about local scholarships. There are, of course, scholarships that you can apply to online but the applicant pool is much larger, so I'd primarily focus on the local ones. My biggest piece of advice is to start looking and applying for scholarships as early as possible, the earlier the better! I hope this helps and answers your question, if not lmk and I'll be glad to try and add more ! :)

as someone from the Philly suburbs these are pretty much all true just in the general Philly area hahah
As a future sociology major (psych minor prob), should I somewhat base my experience off of fellow psych ppl?
Everyone's experience is so unique and so different. You could probably get a super broad idea of what your experience could look like based on other social psych majors, but it's not exact.
Claim your truth!
hi! i have one question. is wharton a part of upenn? like it is ivy? i wanna be an undergraduate in this shool but idk is it worth it...

can you talk about scholarships?

Think the biggest con about UPENN is having Donald Trump as an Alum.
